  1. I'd like to suggest a new costume piece. A 1 piece long flowing closed robe. I imagine something similar to a closed trench-coat, but floor length, similar to what a monk would wear. Nothing fancy and no adornments. Combining it with one of the hoods would be optional, and you already have the rope belt.
  2. Been here since Dec 2005, quit the week incarnate came out. Just got suckered back into it this week. Resistance is futile.
  3. I remember back in the day when Fire/Kins in PI were tops because they could PL people.

I remember when level 50 players knew how to play the game. And had been a player more than a weekend.

I remember when Infinity Server was overrun with players on any given day.

    ...memories! .....

  4. It will be 60 months for me on Monday. Used to belong to the Statesman's Watch SG back in the day. My main character is Harry Husker the Healer.

    Welcome back!
  5. After reading everything else I could find in these Forums on the subject of video cards, I purchased the GeForce 250GTS card. Turns out it works very well as a mid-range card for Ultra Mode. However, it runs extremely hot! I ended up popping the cover on my Dell Dimension E521 and paring the chassis with a box fan...LOL. hey, it was 4th of July weekend and I didn't have an extra case fan handy. Wasn't about to give up my play time to overheat warnings and automatic system shutdowns! So my ploy worked and now I need to find a more permanent cooling solution.
  6. After installing a GTS250 I was able to run with higher settings for almost 3 minutes. Now I've applied your recommendation above and I'm getting around 30-40 fps. Thank you very much for all the valuable info!

    I'm running:
System Name: Dell Inc Dimension E521
    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
    CPU Clock: 2004.2 MHz (10.0 x 200.4 MHz)
    Level 1 Cache: 2 x 64+64 kB (data+instr.)
    Level 2 Cache: 2 x 512 kB
Chipset Name: NVIDIA GeForce 6100/6150/nFoce 500 Family
    Chipset Vendor: Nvidia Corp
    Chipset: C51 Host Bridge
    Southbridge Vendor: Nvidia Corp
    Southbridge: MCP51 LPC Bridge
Memory Size: 3406252 kB (3326.42 MB)
    Monitor Vendor: Dell Computer Corp.
    Monitor Model: Dell 2208WFP(Digital)
    Video Chip Vendor: Nvidia Corp
Video Chip: G92+ [GeForce GTS 250]
    Video Memory Size: 1024 MB
  7. So the NVidia GTX250 should be able to run in Ultra Mode at a decent resolution? Does anyone have recommendations as to specific graphics settings for this card?
  8. I would really like to see someone(s) put together a description of what hardware config would be needed to experience Ultra Mode and the new Going Rogue expansion in it's full glory. At least some video card and maybe CPU suggestions?

If anyone has any feedback at all, feel free to post it here. Thanks!
  9. Whoever was playing Kadabra Kill needs to go out to the parking lot and smack himself for giving us bad info which got us killed. Thanks a lot.

  10. Could someone please post what the hardware requirements will be for best performance with Ultra Mode? I would like to know if I need a video card upgrade or not. Thanks!
  11. Suggestion:

Allow the owner of an SG to buy a token for $9.99 that allows said owner to move a Super Group registration, along with the SG base and all items/setup inside that base, to a different server. To make things possible, require that the super group contain no more than 1 member (the owner) at the time of the move.

This would definitely rock if it were possible.

    Infinity SGs

SG Name: The Big Red Machine

We are a small SG made for the purpose of providing services such as item storage and 16-zone teleport to it's members. Our base is no-frills and has all the necessaries. Facilities are available to all members right away.

The only rule is, when you do get around to loging in and playing, do it in SG Mode.

That's it! So if you want to join, please contact me (@Klaatu Verata Nictus) in-game via one of my many alts.

  14. All-Star Cast:
    Statesman= Definitely Gerald Butler.
Manticore= Nicolas Cage, for the angst.
Sister Psyche= Alyssa Mylano. Hot. She could have a thing with Ghost Widow...
Back Alley Brawler= Michael Clark Duncan. No one else could play this better.
    Synapse= Will Smith. Why not?
Lord Recluse= Hugh Jackman. Because he looks like he could be buds with G. Butler. Remember, the characters were buds before they found the Well of The Furies...
Ghost Widow= Liv Tyler, mostly because she is hot...
Mako= Chris Kattan, because he needs the work.
  15. I've been devoting all my gameplay energy to CoH. Besides, with real life constantly intruding, I don't seem to have much time for any other game...
  16. Hi all! I would definitely like to join this effort with my lvl 50 Empathic/Energy Defender, Harry Husker. I've been playing CoH for around 4 years and have been recently away from the game for a few months, but would like to start things up again. I notice its very quiet on Infinity these days. I've also noticed Statesman's Watch SG seems to be missing in action. Anyone know or heard from anyone in that SG?

Anyways, see ya'll on the 5th! Looking forward to some good old fashion game play!

  17. Now if City of Heroes would be fully supported in Linux environments...along with WoW, they could be the 2 new "killer apps" that bring people into the linux world.
  18. Hong Kong Phooey, number one super guy. Hong Kong Phooey, quicker than the human eye. He's got style, a groovy style, and a car that just won't stop. When the going gets tough, he's really rough, with a Hong Kong Phooey chop (Hi-Ya!). Hong Kong Phooey, number one super guy. Hong Kong Phooey, quicker than the human eye. Hong Kong Phooey, he's fan-riffic!
