This was my first MMO and will probably be my last. As a big comics fan since my youth it was the game that pulled me into playing MMO’s. Others don't come close as I've recently found out.

To the COH community as a whole I want to thank everyone who has ever posted a video, piece of art, build or advice, or even just a funny post. It's you people that have made this community what it is.

To everyone on Union who has invited me or joined me in teams it's been a great pleasure. I wish I had more time to get to know you better.

I'll hopefully be in Atlas on Saturday morning defiantly waiting for the end.

Whatever other games you pursue and where ever your life choices take you from here I hope you find what you are looking for.

I couldn't believe this last night and it's still not sinking in now.

Sarah Jane was my favourite companion and when she appeared in the newer episodes recently it made my day.

My thoughts go out to her family. I know what it's like to lose a mother at 60.

I met you once when I was looking for some advice in game. You helped me out and we teamed a bit and it gave me faith in the players of the game at a time when I was thinking of leaving.

Sadly I'm on Union more now but I hope to see you again if you decide to return and if not I wish you well in whatever you do.

Just turned 48 and I've been playing COX for 2 and half years.

Still a noob really.

I sometimes why it took me so long to join this game as I've been a comic fan since the age of 12.

I also have a few characters that need homes.

I'll try and drop you a line sometime for an invite.

I always prefer a team to my own company.

I've downloaded this and tried on two different pc's, following an uninstall, but I always seem to get a 'default' resisitance of 40% before even selecting any powers.

Previously an uninstall would cure this but not this time it seems.

Can anyone help?

You didn't state what character you are using.

I've only managed twice solo.

Once with an Illusion\Kinetics and the other was Broadsword\Shield.

Both were hard work. My controller managed by Confusing the pets. The Scrapper just went all out on Frostfire.

Take a few Break Frees and Heals and try and eliminate the surrounding mobs before engaging Frostfire.

It was several months before I realised that you could combine enhancements to create a new one.

Previously I was always wondering why team members were asking for small red etc.

Swapping maps was an eye opener. Took me a while to realise what I was actually ready for and what not.

I still have problems remembering commands on the typing bar.

I was just badge hunting the other night with my lvl 50 dark/dark defender when I got invited to a TF.

Made my night.

Even if I wasn't there at the end.

There was a guide on the US Forum some time back that described a Dark/Dark build but via two routes - one being a controllery type and the other a debuff. I went with a mix of both.

It went thru a respec in the late 30's and I swapped Dark Pit (30) for Recall Friend following a team wipe.

A lot of my time was spent solo so the build may reflect that.

I wouldn't be without Darkest Night, Fearsome Stare, Tentacles or Petrifying Gaze. I found these to be my staple powers throughout. Nightfall is a great cone damage that backs up Tentacles and Stare.

I haven't had a lot of opportunity to use the 'Nuke' so I can't comment on that.

Soul Drain and Dark Consumption and excellent.

BS/Shield currently lvl 30

I agree with Havens point about the way that new players are treated.

They should be nurtured and helped along to gain a respect for each archetype and the game as a whole.

Introduce them to things gradually rather than plunging them into the 'deep end.'

They are the life blood for this games continued existence.

Make their time a happy one and they'll subscribe for longer.

I've had mixed dealings with veteran players, on the whole most have been helpful but a couple have left me thinking 'what the heck' and 'why am I bothering.'

As for the SG broadcasting, a few of my characters need a good home. So give me some details and next time I'm on with them I'll let you know.

I'm only a casual player so it may be sometime.

That's probably why. I don't have 200000 inf.

I have a recipe that I noticed was going for between 3 and 5 million at Wentworths.

Trying to make a buck I dragged it into Wentworths for 4 million but the post button remained grey. Lowering the price to 1 million lit the Post button.

Why can't I post above a cetain price?

I've always wondered why Defiant seems to get a bad press.

We all get the same amount of slots here and we are exactly the same people here as we are on Union but people seem to be on Union.

Now I've got my first 50, on Union, I'll see what I've got on Defiant or start something new.

Especially if people are trying to buck up the image of Defiant.

I dinged my first 50 wednesday night with my D3, Dark Requiem, and I'd like some advice on invention sets to make my life a little happier.

Currently I'm using single enhancements at levels 45 and 50 and want to improve a little.

Also is it really worth putting 3 of a kind in the same power? Mid's seems to show only a small % increse when the third is added.
