If you felt the urge to SMASH then of course you were right.

Gorestone - SS/Stone.
I really dig it. Same build I used in the PvP events and tested slightly in Beta. I also have a EM/EA, and DM/Invuln. All are concept. I won't PvP much. So I just build 'em for fun. -
All I have to say is, if that's your Hero/Villain in CoH/V....I'm not ever going against you in PvP. There's no way I can compete with that.

Mantastic....Your Avatar....Is going to haunt me the rest of my days.

I have no idea what INTRUDER said, and to be honest, I am willing to bet it had absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. It's so great seeing this to sum up his posts.

Actually, I don't play Stalkers.
Not my type of gameplay. I prefer Brutes. I was just stating how I feel about the situation your presented. As I said, I don't see it as griefing, but we all have different opinions. -

I had tons of fun playing my dark/dark cor. Storms (namely a storm def and a storm controller) gave me the most trouble. We had to swarm them to beat them. My first time in pvp and I had no idea about hot spots or ir goggles. I didn't even know that orange names denoted enemies so I was dumbfounded to see a hero (he was a version of a famous CoH hero) with an orange name running at me soon after I arrived in Siren's Call. If it hadn't been for an arbiter drone this noob would have been dead.
I wish I would have had time to play a blaster because some peeps kept seeking refuge on roofs. As it was I was able to help a fellow villain take down a hero on a roof. Still, with a blaster's snipe I could have littered the roofs of SC w/ dead villains.
Hope they do this again. And I for one am happy that I pre-ordered CoV, ED notwithstanding.

I think one of my funniest moments tonight, er last night. Was charging a Storm/* Defender. They were hitting me with everything they could, as I lumbered with Rooted on, right through it all. Got to them in the center of the storm, proceeded to SMASH them. Then someone laid down ice slick.....Needless to say I slowed to a creeping halt. -

A player is in a PvP zone, ENGAGED outdoor against NPC's.Attacking him at this moment would be griefing imho.
Attacking him stealthed would be griefing AND cowardice.

Eh, I don't care for PvP at all really. I have played games in which it was not a choice though. If you enter into an area that is labeled as Free For All. As in "You" can attack someone else at anytime given any situation. Those are the rules you are accepting upon entering that zone.
Being struck from behind with an Assassins strike, is neither griefing or cowardice. If I play a class called a Stalker, and my class plays out the best when I prey on the weak. It would prove advantageous for me to strike you when you are exhausted, or otherwise engaged. That's not anything other than smart tactics.
Show your enemy no-quarter.

I don't care if the zone is so called free for all.

That's your personal choice then. They entered the zone to PvP, in a Free For All area. I doubt many will give you time to prepare for their "ambush".

Now, if the player is in a PvP zone and not engaged, I have no problem if he is attacked.
2 examples:
I was fighting a shivan lieut in bloody bay, and this stalker (three fingers was his name) constantly came to me stealthed to assassin strike me and run away, I consider it griefing.
Still in bloody bay, I was stupid enough to stop and watch some henchmen dancing on a roof, another stalker attacked me...no problem, I should have been more careful.
[/ QUOTE ]
I guess I just don't understand. How it is griefing to do what my class is best at? If I am best at taking advantage of your disadvantages, how is it cowardly to attack you when you are engaged? If you are my enemy, I will show you no mercy. I will do whatever I have to do to over-come you.
Also, if this has to do with debt caused by mobs. Statesman himself posted that is not griefing, as there is an answer to it, in a PvP zone. In PvE training mobs is griefing.
Then again, I don't PvP much, so take that for what you will. -

It's not a balance issue or anything, but more of a "make things easier" issue

That, and it solves the situation of "Didn't we just arrest this guy...?!"
