Quote:I second this. I have run 30+ BAF's on teams the person in question has put together. He ran them very very well.This.
I know the guy, and yes this is exactly what he is doing. People should be thankful that somebody is willing to put together a team when there's a room for of people broadcasting for one. But no, we get people complaining instead.
The other night, he put the team together, and then left...and it weirded me out. I thought he got annoyed because people kept screaming: we have 25! the BAF wont start!
But then I saw him doing this over and over. I have now been on 3 successfull BAFs in a row where he has put the team together, and then left.
I will say though, it would help if he communicated to the unitiated what it is he is doing -
I try to make mine somewhat humorous, these are the ones I can remember:
Bronx Boy, Thugs/Poison: Iced Tea (Arsonist), J-Lo and Diddy (Enforcers) Bronx Bomber (Brute)
Hellophane, Demon/Storm: Half-Pint and George (as in, Which way did he go George), Tier 1 Demons and Lady Gaga, First Tier 2 Demon. (And Yes, I do think she resembles it)

Asking people to think was already making things way too complicated, unfortunately

This is all in prep for reworking the LRSF so that it becomes more in line with the difficulty of the STF, right?
[/ QUOTE ]
Seeing as how it's pretty common to defeat the LRSF without either Shivans or stacked Vengeance, I'm not sure I see the relevance.
[/ QUOTE ]
sorry not everyone can find 5 corruptors, 2 masterminds, and a stone brute to do the LRSF with
also stalkers and dominators want to be useful on it too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Its player propogated myth that causes this, because alot of people want you to believe its the case. Ive been on RSFs that are led by invuls and elecs, and ive seen doms not only be useful, but LEAD rsfs successfully.
The problem is the player base wanting the easy way out and not embracing any sort of challenge... Thru Vengeance and Shivans and 7 corrs and what have you. None of these are remotely necessary.
Edit: I didnt even realize the forum this was in, and am laughing at how off target posts can get from the original intent. (Thats what I get or getting here from the Dev Digest) -
I love this idea...anything to make leveling in the later levels more fun gets my vote.

I don't like unlockable contacts for several reasons. I have no idea how to unlock them, and there isn't any indication anywhere to any of them. Even if you come accross them (and that's a big IF), they're still vage to the point of uselessness. Also, they require actions that in no way correspond to the contacts themselves, and the reasons behind these actions are never explained.

And along these lines....on a couple of rare occasions I have by some miracle come across an unlockable contact on my own. (before friends and internet sites started helping me find them). Of course at that point I didnt have whatever badge was required to unlock them. And I also had no clue about coordinates on the map (i learned quickly tho)...So these contacts I did find...what were the odds I would remember where they were? Practically none.
I think that when you speak to an unlockable, whether you unlock them or not, they should then show up on your map. Because Im sure there are plenty of people who A)will not be buying the Prima guide and B)just play the game, without any help from anywhere. A person in my VG who is level 35 said to me yesterday: I still consider myself very new to this game, and Im still learning everything that goes on. There is alot I have no clue about.
And those people miss out on alot :/ (hell, I played coh for almost 2 years, and had no idea you could pull up coordinates on the map, what they meant or how they worked.)
