It would be like a DO suddenly selling for the price of a HO.
[/ QUOTE ]
One thing to remember is that there already is a certain upper limit of price already established by the presense of the stores. If you can't buy an SO for a reasonable price on the AH, you can always go to a regular store. And that will always ensure that the prices of standard Enhancements will be relatively steady. So TOs, DOs, and SOs will not suddenly be selling for the price of HOs. (as there is no rational reason to pay that much for one outside of influence transfers)
This doesn't apply to IOs and HOs, though. It's possible that IOs and HOs (and the Recipes and Salvage to make IOs) will be the only thing traded in the AH, and "normal" Enhancements won't be traded because the players that use the economy features consider them unsellable, or outside the realm of the "economy". I'm not ready to say that's certain, though. (I feel casual players will probably support a DO/SO traffic, as well, saving money over the stores)
[/ QUOTE ]
I think they'll be traded for the simple fact that you can't get a level 5 SO in a store, but I've gotten one on a character before. So normal SOs and DOs SHOULD be allowed in the AH, but that doesn't mean there will be a market for the normal ones.
Edit: Oh wait, the dev already used a player trading TOs as an example....so I'm now assuming it will be allowed. -
[ QUOTE ]
Player A1 puts up a Level 12 TO for 5,000,000 inf.
Player B1 puts up the same Level 12 TO for 1,000 inf.
Player A2 (trying to transfer funds) offers to buy that level 12 TO for 5,000,000 inf.
Since player B1 wants less, and is obviously trying to move his items faster, his "for sale" is processed first, so he ends up with 5,000,000 inf (minus fees).
[/ QUOTE ]
I like this. This means you get what the buyer thinks something is worth rather than what you think it's worth. So if I put it into the AH for 5000, I'll get any offer 5000+. IMHO, ingenious. I'll always get my personal minimum without having people buying my stuff only to "play the AH".
I know that I always had issues with AHs in other games because the items I needed would be outrageously priced. And I'm not talking that they were outrageously priced because that was the worth of the item. I mean that they were outrageously priced because players didn't want to sell within reason.
For example: A while back in WOW there was a "supply event" where you could turn in stacks of hides for items and cash. Well, that sucked for crafters because the price of hides suddenly increased out of proportion. I know that's just "supply and demand" but it caused a standstill in the AH after a week because noone was selling hides for less than a gold piece. It would be like a DO suddenly selling for the price of a HO.
In COH's new system, I like how you can't see what other people are selling for. That means there's not going to be outrageous prices for salvage because people aren't going to know the market value of a particular item is....just what NPC vendors will sell for and what you want for profit over that.
I do have a question though, and forgive me if it's been asked:
But how will you recieve an item from the AH? Will there be a mailing system or will it automatically pop into your tray when you buy it? And if it just pops into your tray, what happens if your tray if full and you didn't notice? -

Set Bonuses are always active. The special powers from IO Enhancements which grant them are not.
[/ QUOTE ]
What about in passive powers? If I slot +20% regeneration in Fast Healing do I get that bonus all the time?
[/ QUOTE ]
Passive powers are always on, therefore any enhancements of this type would always give their bonus.
[ QUOTE ]
If I slot +20% regeneration in Dull Pain do I get that bonus only when I click Dull Pain?
[/ QUOTE ]
Right. A Set Bonus which gave +Regeneration would *always* be active in Dull Pain, while an Enhancement which grants +Regeneration would only work for a set period of time after Dull Pain was activated.
[/ QUOTE ]
Forgive me if this has been asked, but to get the Set Bonus, does one have to have the whole set slotted into ONE power, or can they be scattered throughout your powersets? -
I like this idea. It's power customization without the devs having to go back and rework EVERY power in the game.
-
Dnno if anyone has mentioned it, but I just realized that the hacker set was missing for females in the character creator.

* Debt in PvP Zones. Currently we "Pro-Rate" debt depending on how much damage you took from NPCs vs. PCs. When this is fixed we will zero out any debt if the killing blow comes from PCs, and Pro-Rate debt if the killing blow comes from NPCs.
* Salvage disappearing from storage objects. If you click too fast, some salvage may get lost in the transaction when pulling from a Storage Object. This is a high priority bug to fix.
* Back Alley Brawler gives debt in Recluse's Victory. Yeah, he was not set up as "debt free". Sorry.
* Ability to drop missions. Coming soon!(TM) I know this will make a lot of players happy that they don't need to contact Customer Service just to continue thier story arcs.

Are these still the top 4 issues? Think we can get an update....like a Top Issues 8.26 thread? -
[ QUOTE ]
Also - there is a bug with game time card usage back around launch that may make your paid time seem smaller if you used a GTC then. That bug will be worked out before vet rewards kick off.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good to know I wasn't crazy. Knew I had more than only 10 months on my account.
[ QUOTE ]
I mean, there's enough of us out there that there's been quite a number of discrepencies noted. When should we worry about this. When Vet rewards are going live? Again, I'm not trolling or anything--but the issue is definitely worth thinking about.

If your really worried and the timecard is why your account is off, you can go ahead and contact support. They fixed mine with pretty much no hassle at all. I went from 10 months (wrong) to 1 year, 10 months (right since he 3 free months aren't showing) after a total of 3 emails. -

Here is what I am working on
Coffe break Note: this is just a rough. It will be redrawn
This is the concept: Cuppa takes a break from packing . In the back will be the front page of the paragon times annoucing her leaving. (Paragon time mock up used will be the one by WitchChild )
What do you think?

I like it. Can't wait to see it finished -

All tributes for CuppaJo are welcomed.
Unless it is NSFW.

NSFW? -
I've already posted it in my Ptimes thread and in the COH General section, but figured it should go here too with everyone else's tributes.
CuppaJo's Farewell Article in Paragon Times -
Hmm...don't see Friggin_Taser or Beef Cake in there....both are well known names on Pinnacle....

Ohhh....almost forgot too.....
(forgive me if it's already been asked)
Can we send in more than one Praetorian story? (It's one of my favored concepts) -
Two questions real fast:
Is this "Hero-side only?"
How do I phrase that better? Hmm...
1. If the story is about my Villain being sent to the Praetorian world by Lord Recluse, would that still be considered?
and related:
2. Can the story be from the Praetorian point of view coming into Paragon?
I have several stories that would only take an hour or two to write up, but which one I actually write up and send in hinge on the answer to those two questions. -

Could be neat. As other ocmments here have indicated, the geometry is already done. Some I7-ish touch-ups, and the zone could get interesting. VERY interesting.
Picture the chasms and such as still being there - the tops of the various "pillars" of ground being levelled off, with buildings rebuilt atop them. Bridges between pillars, and even between buildings at different elevations. The chasms only partly filled in - enough to allow for some narrow parkland areas and/or major roadways, with stairs (and maybe elevators) up to the top of the zone.
Thus, you have the same vertical "wow, that's neat" effect of the current Faultline ... but ... you no longer have the "AAAAH! how do I get back out of this pit!" problem of Faultline's vertical nature.

I like that idea....much better than my "Just break the dam open and flood the freaking crevices". -

Shield Tankers were dropped from development. It would have been the single-most costly powerset to produce.

When did this happen? I must have missed this announcement. Do you have a link to the post or the story about this?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's either in part one or part two of the CuppaJo interview with SiRadio.

Part Two
They're still working on the transcripts for it......(was 3 hours long)....
Edit: 51:35 on part II -
Hmm....I just had a thought.....
If Boomtown and Faultline are "reconstructed" a bit to pre-war status.....will they be renamed to reflect those changes. I.E. back to Baumtown and Overbrook?
And as for the Faultline TF....You can still see it through the War Walls. I found the door mentioned before but it no longer works. Through the walls: (1) (2) -

I'm more surprized that War Witch isn't a little annoyed by the position the game is in. The chances of finding a team to street sweep or actively use hazard zones these days compared to the first year of release is so tiny that putting effort into the hazard zones is a big mistake. There just isn't any justification to choose street sweeping over missions as missions have only half of the debt penalty your normally have on the streets themselves.
I personally feel that the devs need to give some better incentives to fighting on the streets such as a higher chance of inspirations or enhancements or an INF bonus for the team for clearing a full spawn.
There is a reason why babbage and the Kraken are considered the rarest of GMs. Its because Perez Park is totally ignored these days as are many of the Hazard zones. This is something the devs have done by making missions give half debt, players know this. So spending more development time on parts of the zone which won't hold the player's attention except to take part in events that the devs add sounds like wasted time.
Something has to be done to bring back hunting in hazard zones as a valid alternative to missions in the eyes of the player community.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ummm....that's why they're revamping them. Or did noone tell you they're using the Striga/Croatoa models? That means STORY ARCS/CONTACTS/MISSIONS/ETC--including street hunting missions--that are all zone oriented. Possibly event a "introduction TF contact" like Katie Hannon and Hess.
I'd think War Witch would be jumping for joy at having a WHOLE ZONE to play with emotes and NPCs. Zones where noone will complain what's done with them because almost anything would be better than the nothing that was there before.

There used to be separate Endurance Recovery and Endurance Drain enhancements?
Task Forces were bugged to the point of being unplayable, and the Devs actively warned players not to try them?
[/ QUOTE ]
There were also Cone Increase Enhancements before the AOE limitations and the system went to the "flag checking" system it has now.
When the Hero Corps. Analyzers first came out, Task Forces were bugged so that their Difficulty slider of the Task Force would change either depending on the first person to enter the mission or to the leader of the team's setting. Now Task Forces auto-set to "Heroic".
There is a pay phone in Steel Canyon that never stops ringing. (Just found out about this one yesterday and verified it myself)
When Kheldians first came out, anyone that teamed with them were doomed to have Nictus Enemies in their missions for up to 36 hours after the Kheldian left the team. AFAIK this status now only lasts a few missions after a Kheldian drops team.
In COV Beta, there was a bug that allowed anyone using the /trade command to spam across the server. Temporary Link to Photo
Shield Tankers were dropped from development. It would have been the single-most costly powerset to produce.
Rikti Swords were once bugged where they did 99,999 dmg. <If I remember right> -
Did you know...... (forgive me if this is a repeat)
Before Statesman got his powers he was a notorious Thief AND also the Cop trying to catch him.
Before Lord Recluse got his powers he was Statesman's partner in crime.
Statesman's wife was Lord Recluse's sister--"Maiden Justice".
Lord Recluse killed Statesman's brother.
Statesman had connections with the Family before he started stealing rarities.
Statesman "cleared his name" through bribery before coming to Paragon. -
My husband and I are both trying to start RPing.....though he's a bit shy and I have a bit of trouble getting into characters well enough to change my dialect, dialog or writing habits. Anyways, I figured a good first step into RP in general is to get my character's backstory on "paper". (Two years into COH and I've seldom, if ever, written a backstory)
So, anyways, here goes the backstory for Alpha Tracker and Bravo Tracker:
Tracker Team Zulu
Status: Missing
Last Known Mission: Infiltration of Rikti Homeworld
During a Sneak-Ops assignment to the Rikti Homeworld, Alpha and Bravo of Tyrant's Elite SpecOps Team, a.k.a. Trackers, lost communication with Tracker command. Unable to regain a link to request pickup, they stayed hidden for weeks, while quietly sabotaging Rikti Security in effort to open a link to Tracker command. While they were unsuccessful in opening a link, their sabotage had allowed the Heroes of Paragon an opening.
When Paragon's Omega team appeared, the two Trackers took advantage of the situation by using Omega's Portal to gain access to Paragon. Unfortunately it was the Paragon of a different dimension. Filled with Heroes led by "Statesman", this new Paragon was different in every aspect than their own home. Now they work as heroes in this new Paragon, doing recon in anticipation of reaching Security Level 50 and gaining access to Portal Corps.' doorways so they can return to Tyrant.

*cringe* Critique anyone? Just please remember that this was limited by the in-game "biography" space limitations.
