  1. I think the price of beans in China just went up 4 points in 5 seconds flat!
  2. I meant to get on and post after we did this task force, but of course I'm bad at forums, and I seem to always find something else to do rather than posting. It was really fun running with the team I had. I wasn't quite as confused as I had done it once the day before, but it still stands as being a very challenging TF, what with the Duray twins mopping the floor with us a few times. Nasty piece of AVing, but then again, if they weren't nasty why would we want to smash their lil punkin heads?

Thanks again and take care, hope to see you out there again. I also wish I saw your posts earlier as Dr. Johnny Feel Good really needs the MoTin done (only got one item left to do, but it took me forever to figure out what the area mines were and where they came from - I'd done Tin Mage several times, but never saw the mines for some reason . . . well, it is hard to keep people alive and be aware of everything else around you. That's my excuse and I'm stickin to it.)
  3. I've been around for a few years enjoying the snappy banter of some of our various Villains, Heroes and the men and women on the street. I remember some of the things a lot of you talk about, but there are some I don't remember, and some I have no clue (as some of you gave no reference where to look to find the banter we all so crave to read.) Thanks much to those who gave examples or at least left clues as to where to find the missions that will no doubt make us sit up and take notice.

There is one notable dialog (though one-sided) by a certain villain in Atlas that I stumbled upon, in my hero guise as The Original Hot Ice. One fine brilliant day while super-heroing as my want to do . . . when what should take my notice as I turned a corner of a building? I heard something, but couldn't make out right away what it was. Turning my head I saw, in the shadows of the building, this dude I know I've put in jail at least a hundred times already, and the city always sees fit to put him out on the street again, yet I couldn't remember his name. One of the Hellions.

He had something in his hand, and he was mumbling. He hadn't seen me yet, and instead of attacking as I was very curious as to what had his attention so riveted he couldn't see me breathing, I slowly crept closer, and then I could hear his words, "Finally! Mine . . . all mine! Mine!" And, of course, that's when I saw the purse in his hands, and I knew he had finally gotten his prize, after all this time.

I almost didn't have the heart to beat him to a pulp.
  4. I just spent 20 minutes composin a response and when I sent it, it said that I had to sign in. Now my whole thing is gone. And I'm too tired to go through it all again.

I play a level 50 Def Healer(Emp)/Force on Freedom Server - he's my Badge-Hero. I'm lookin to fill in the gaps I got, specially the obscure ones, you got a schedule I see that has a lot on them.

I'm gettin ready to do the Admiral Sutter "The Sky is Falling" today, and would like to hook up with y'all tomorrow if possible, and you accept new ppl. If not, let me know.

    Thanks,
    Angel
  5. I'm not good at forums, but am going to try to ask something on this thread. I'm an American that lives and works right now in Japan. While I'm here, the hours can be strange and it's hard to get a team let alone be available for a Super Group.

I would like to learn PvP because I think it would be fun to find out how to use the powers of my characters better. When I solo in the PvP areas I like the missions, but inevitably either myself or one or two (rarely two) characters who try and work together are besieged by a group of Villains and we are normally outnumbered, and it doesn't matter what the heroes do, we barely survive or don't and this larger group will continue to track us down, probably just to up their kill numbers. I don't play PvP because of this. The times I am on there are normally not that many people on.

You have this way of setting up teams for a new tackle at PvP, but the times you have would be Monday or Friday at 1100 (11:00 a.m.) - and . . . hmmmm . . . I work at that time, so there is no reason for me to sign up for a League, because even IF I were available every once in a great while, I would probably let a team down by not being there for them when needed.

Europe has it's own servers, so you may set something up for them, but where do us Pacific folks fit in? I don't see that it will work anywhere unless it happens to be close to/on a weekend, say your Friday nights, my Saturday mornings.

When my job is done here, I will maybe be back in America, but that could be a year or more from now, and I'm sortof outaluck at the moment because I want to learn, but I can't commit.

I had concerns the last time a League was started because it didn't seem like anyone ELSE was concerned enough to address something like this. At least I couldn't find any threads about it (but like I say, I'm poor at forums and can barely find anything - it's even difficult for me to find my own posts to see if anyone has responded to them, and that can be frustrating.)

Airing this concern and wondering if their can be a solution, or if interest on the Pacific side just isn't enough for something to be done about it?
