I love the dances with jellyfish one, makes me wonder which one is copying which? The only thing which is a little strange is the water is extremely blue for an inside tank.

Well if the bit you didn't understand was how Kirby works then thats perfectly understandable and I apologise if I was chastising you a bit, but think you can understand that finding someone who doesn't know mario is pretty strange. Kind of like finding someone who doesn't know who superman is or something, you just wonder how they have managed to avoid it over than length of time!

Quote:Being that the second one is Mario thats actually quite shocking, some of them are quite obscure characters, some of them the costume is an obscure hint towards the character it's meant to be but I'd say that Mario one is pretty clear and I *think* Mario is the best known video game character in history. (not 100% sure, but like 99% sure he is)Is it good that I knew nothing other than the first "normal" one?
Also there is a batman, joker and spiderman one... so no excuses!
I could name about 60 of them, the other 40 are too obscure even for my history of video gaming. -
Being that the theme is retconing you could just retcon that lord recluse didn't go skiiing in the first place, so kind of the whole point is to warp the games lore, the only risk you have if you don't know the lore very well is accidently creating what actually happened!

Well in honour of the artist kirby and mostly because I just had an exam so its time to unwind I present Kirby style Kirby!
Okay so he probaly wouldn't have drawn kirby quite so minimilistic but hey its a pink featureless ball, thats about the limit of my artisticness!
Anyway it was this or sticking Kirby's hair on Kirby's head to show what happens if Kirby swallowed Kirby -
-
See this is how little I know about comic art, because when I read the words kirby style I expected to see a pink puffball wih your heros costume on after having swallowed him. A quick google seach set me straight but theres still part of me that wants to see what I first thought.
Either way its a nice piece, and in fact you have a gallery full of very impressive pieces here! -
I would think natural would be the more fitting choice personally.
Technology vs natural is a blurry line what with them both being (usually) essentially powerless, the trick is deciding what makes them able to compete with the supers.
A technology can compete with the super powered beings because of thier technology, gadgets and often suits. If they had no special gadgets and had just basic weapons they would be essentially nothing. If you took someone who's used to using a high tech laser rifle with auto-targeters and you took those away and gave them a pistol they wouldn't be able to fight anywhere near on the level of the supers.
A natural can compete because they have trained themselves to become better than everyone else, often its stated that the super powered people are lazy because they don't need all the training a normal human would, like how spiderman doesn't know x-thousand types of martial arts while batman does. If you took away all the natural's normal equipment and gave them a basic version they would still be able to compete with the supers.
So how dependant on the technology wil you character and thier ninjas be? Do they *rely* on laser-guided bows and super sharp swords or would they be able to compete with a normal bow and normal sword but they use the laser guided/super sharp ones because that makes them better? -
Thanks for the welcome, have been lurking around recently admiring all the prettyness that is in this part of the forum, since I have close to zero artistic skills I was happy when I found this mission and thought I could contribute to a thread here! So all of you keep doing what you do because I approve and I'm sure there are tons more like me who have been lurking and not posting while appreciating it all!
I'm on Union in the EU, theres a bit of RP here and there, not hugely got into it but I've turned up occasionally. -
Looking at those minimalistic pieces and then looking at my characters I think all but 1, maybe 2 would be fairly clear who they were, getting that sort of look though is really about having a noticeable central pattern or chest design which is rarely something I have planned out at the start.
I usually just start fiddling with one of the body areas (head, chest, rarely legs) until I find something I like and then I go from there. I think making the iconic look isn't something that I set about doing its just something that builds up from the aesthetics of the character as a whole.
The problem I find with the additional costume slots is retaining that kind of look while still being different from the original and yet recognisable as the same hero, think thatÂ’s why my second costumes so far have all been civilian attire, since I've never reached level 30 I've to had to actually redesign a heroic costume... -
I haven't been playing for too long but this has been one of the nicest ideas for a mission I've seen yet (okay my highest level is 24, I hope I'll be proven pleasently wrong)
So the first time I met my double there was a bit of a stalemate...
After defeating her I found the major difference between our dimentions was the ability to keep my legs closed...
The next time I bumped into her rather than fighting she just hung around for a pleasent chat
Taking out the trash! (p.s. I kind of like the altered colours for Astral Flame, might consider swapping)
She made a noble sacrifice, and still couldn't keep her legs together! I kind of like how some of the cloaks look torn, yay for texture bugs!

Although I did start a group I've found myself a bit strapped for time, combined with the fact that I'm not a great leader I think I won't actually be pursuing the idea sadly, thanks for your interest though, and thanks for the list of roleplaying supergroups, might look into some of them.
-
I should have said I am on union, and I've made a controller with her powers being Plant control as the first and empathy as the second. But nature theme doesn't have to be plants, the four classical elements all come from nature so I think there's a fair amount of room for ideas.
Of course that's if anyone's interested in the nature idea anyway, I suppose I'm coming into the game a little late and most supergroups are set up by now? -
I just started playing 4 days ago after seeing an advert about the game's anniversary. Enjoying it so far, though I've not seen much rp around, but still I've met some nice people.
Anyhow I was thinking about creating a supergroup themed around people who have gotten their powers from nature/use their powers for the cause of nature, I was wondering if there was any group already like this and, if not, if there would be any interest to form one?
Anyway, that's about it for now, nice to meet you all!
