It's already been stated, but an energy blaster needs to try to knock stuff into walls and straight down when possible. However, some tanks will insist on moving away from walls or perch mobs on the edge of a ledge without a handy wall. All you can do is make a single constructive comment on it, and try not to make a mess of things with your knockback.
If you're trying your best, then don't sweat any complaints from reactionary team mates. In the end, no single team or task force will make or break your reputation - it's your overall track record that will make people appreciate what you bring to a team. -

See...now this is the BAD side of nearly every freakin' game out there adopting a d20 system: nobody can even fathom anything else. D20 is great for certain genres, and it's great that once you know d20, you can almost insta-play any of dozens of different RPGs.

I agree with this. D20, much like GURPS, FUZION, and Silhouette, just don't work well for some game settings/genres. Anyone ever play Deadlands or Fading Suns? They had awesome rulesets that were perfect for the setting. However, they were re-published as D20 games in order to reach a wider audience, and they now lack character. The original Deadlands rules were awesome... using poker chips and playing cards in addition to dice was brilliant! -
City of Heroes already has a great campaign setting. It's well fleshed out and has a lot of possibilities for an extended campaign. The only thing that may hold it back is the rule set. I'm just not familiar with Unisystem. Frankly, the d6 system from West End Games always struck me as the best system for a superhero game.

I know how the original poster feels on this issue. The Hollows is the most annoying zone you'll ever be compelled to go through. Sure, there's Faultline and other places, but by the time you hit those, you'll have a travel power.
I refer to the Hollows as either the "Cesspit" or the "Toilet Bowl" because it stinks. -
I just did this TF last night. It certainly had nice eye candy, but the group moved from mission to mission at such a frenetic pace that I never got a chance to even look at the plot. It was pretty much a blast-fest, then move on. I went through the Moonfire TF with a much more relaxed group, and found that quite enjoyable, so I imagine it was just my group (many of whom had already finished the TF once and were just going through the motions).
