This may be a silly question...
If I lay down Dimension Shift in a target location and then summon Freezing Rain and/or Tornado from outside the dome, would they still affect the enemies inside? I was under the impression that they would since they are considered a 'pet' of sorts, right?
In addition, would Singularity or a Patron Pet aggro enemies and run inside the field? -
Is it me or are the activation time for these powers reversed?

First and foremost, what the hell?! I just recently started playing around with Mids'. Honestly, despite the presence of buffs in the secondary sets, I was unaware that Controllers could get such amazing defenses and resistances.
I am currently in the process of working on a Dark/Dark Controller to replace my Dark/Dark Corruptor. Fluffy's Puppy, Fade, and Soul Absorption look amazing.
I am having a bit of trouble balancing- unsure whether to lean toward positional or typed defenses. Meep.

Ah! Thanks for the quick tip. I did forget that Cloaking Device's defense changes when in and out of combat. I will be sure to look out for those tricky powers in the future.
The build you posted was really good... but I knew it was not quite what I wanted before I looked at it once you mentioned Spiderlings. I apologize because I probably should have reworded my earlier statement better: I was primarily wanting feedback with my slotting and IO choices within the scope of the powers I have already selected. While I understand my power choices may not be 'optimized for awesomeness', they are optimized for 'fun' (for me, anyway).
On that note, I do have a general question. Is it necessary or common practice for Blasters (or any non-melee AT or build) to have soft-cap defenses? I admit when I started to draft my build I began building for high defense first. But then I realized that I was building for a Blaster and not a Scrapper, which is what I've been playing as of late. I play in teams more than I solo, and with other players also grabbing enemy aggro, it almost seemed in excess to soft-cap defenses. -
Just looking for some feedback on a build I just finished whipping up for one of my main alts.
I am fairly comfortable with my power choices, with the exception of 'Recall Friend' which I tossed in there as a filler power. I am open to suggestions to replace that with something else. I am more concerned about what kind of tweaks can be done slotting-wise.
This toon is for both team and casual solo play. I was aiming for decent def/res and enough recharge to bring my two nukes down to a 1/3 of its original rate.

Just checked a video on YouTube and the set looks amazing. I am going over the individual powers on ParagonWiki right now, and the Tier9 power has insane mitigation.

Thanks for the tinkered build, Mauk. I'll have to look into those Hamidon Enhancements. I've only done Hamidon once a looooong time ago.
And I'll probably go with PleaseR's suggestions as well. However, what should I slot, if anything, for Physical Perfection if I remove the procs? -
I would also be interested in any thoughts people might have. I have a very old Level 44 Dual Blades / Regen Scrapper, back from when I was super ignorant about enhancements. It has crossed my mind a couple of times to salvage him.

Whoa. The last time I visited the forums (when Staff Melee came out), I had trouble finding a recent thread on this powerset (let alone one that coupled it with staff).
Good to see it still gets some love. My Staff/Invul is very fun to play despite not being optimized for awesomeness at this point in time. I only play at +2/x8 (non-incarnate) right now and he plows through most enemies with the exception of those darn Carnies. -
Hey all. Just looking for some advice to improve my new main toon. Due to my altoholic tendencies, I usually don't find myself min/max'ing, but I would like to do so to some degree for this particular toon.
Please note that this is my first time using Mids. I selected the powers in no specific order- so it does not actually reflect what level I took them at in-game. And I hope I put all the enhancements where they're supposed to be..
One thing I was hoping, was to somehow squeeze in some extra accuracy into my build.

Slowly, Aiden hovered over towards the person in ther center of the room. He watched the darkened floor below him as he hovered. He had never seen anything like it and wondered what this substance was. His attention was then taken from the black floor as they were under attack by black creatures.
Aiden's hands were out in front of his face. His fingers up and down, a soft glowing white light surrounding his hands. He was using his Illusionary power Decieve. He deceived one creature that was close to him, making the creature turn and attack its kind. Aiden decieved a couple more hoping that the creatures will be distracted and tear each other apart.
"Whatever is on the floor looks as if it is of a liquid substance. I may be able to do something about it", Aiden informed the others.
The Guard looked around, trying to make sure no one would be in his range of attack. When he found an area, he stretched his arms backwards.
"We'll see if a strong Gale of wind will be of use."
The Guard threw forward his arms towads the far wall making strong winds from the stilled air blow towards the wall. -

Such an assignment would have been entrusted with a member with higher experience. It was extremely rare and somewhat dangerous for Guards to travel to Earth. Their work was more towards assisting to preserve the balance of Heaven and Hell. Though it was neccessary for them to aid Earth, as it was stuck in the middle. There was no choice but to do the assignment. It was considered unlawful for any Guard to not accept a mission given to them.
Standing in the teleporter, he watched as other Guards worked on the control panels: setting coordinates and trying to find out in detail, where they were sending him. He tightened his gloved fists and released them, wondering what unknown danger he was being sent to. He looked on either side of him where other Guards were being ready to be teleported to their missions. Most of them looking very similiar to him. White flack with golden trim, black and gold gloves, white shoulder pads with gold tipped spikes, white pants with a gold starbust design, white shoes, and more importantly... the helmet with white siding (two gold antannae attached pointing back) and a gold visor. A few Guards, like himself, had tails with a point at the end.
"Alright, are you ready", a Guard at one of the control panels asked.
The Guard only nodded in response.
"You have God's blessing", the man said.
A blinding cylinder of light surrounded the Gaurd in the teleporter. The systems were checking normal...but for some reason, the cylinder of light turned into a cylinder of darkness, consuming the Guard inside. And in 30 seconds, the darkness had taken its first Guard ever.

Barely visible from the lack of light in the room, a dark cylinder formed and then disappeared, leaving behind the Guard that was earlier consumed. The Gaurd dropped a few inches before he starting using his hovering power. He looked down to see the floor covered in an unusual dark ooze. Looking up from the floor, he made out a few figures in the room.
"I am a Guardian of Heaven. My name is Aiden. I was sent to be of some assistance", the Guard spoke out.
He knew not who he was speaking to, but it was custom to state who and what he was and why he was there.
