Quote:I have no lag on my system during normal play despite being UK based. There is however a curious effect on the maps particularly around SC and TI WWs - on some days as the toon approaches WW lag starts and there is often severe lag on response to bidding and buying clicks that you don't see elsewhere else in game. Many times a click is not registered at all. I am not alone in seeing this phenomenon - many people notice it and comment on it. As soon as you move away - no lag!An honest question - if people's auras etc lag your machine at the market, how does your computer survive actual game content? Do you avoid teams with certain powersets or something?
I vote for a closed area for those that want it and leave the power spammers to flex away - better still a market interface in the SG Base - that'd be bliss :-) -

Quote:I cant see why I have to be any more reasonable - I am being so - I turn mine off and have done from the outset; nothing more annoying than a full toggled Fire tank burning the house down, so they are all extinguished. Giving into it and putting up with this nonsense is not right. I have a fully kitted MM but I dont run round the Isles with them trailing behind me - why induce more lag than we have already. As I originally suggested, the solution is to add a separate room where power suppression is enabled (and add an SG base market interface). During the meantime, of course, those who find it annoying can simply choose to avoid the grand total of two busy market locations, as it's a lot simpler and more reasonable for you to change your habits than it is to expect everyone else to change theirs to suit you.
Living in Atlas doesnt fix the issue, especially as there is no Uni. Running back and forth to SG Base to craft is not as convenient. Admittedly the ironcially named Masterminds start in Steel, but the convenience of the Uni is key. And they are now appearing in Atlas too - greatest place to show off I suppose.
And as for the comment by Swell on foot-stomp, where have you been? I cant think of the last time someone did that deliberately in WWs. Most of the problem from heroes is forgetting the toggles on AoEs, but I guess for some MMs invoking "dismiss" must be something of a mental challenge... -

It must be possible to turn off all powers in Wentworths now on the blue side. I am sick and tired of MMs arriving blue side with their minions on, lagging WWs and causing graphics disturbance and noise (Demons particularly). Who do they think they're impressing?
Please Devs - TURN OFF POWERS automatically in Wentworths on the Hero side. Or MMs use the dismiss option -it's not that hard to reload them and its getting very boring now! After several years of CoV - we know what they look like...
Nuff said. -
oh great - so that's it for another two hours!
See at 10pm then or 4pm CST! -
Irritatingly it was working fine 2 hours ago - evening off and I am running PC diagnostics!
I ran the GameAdvisor just in case some freak self-induced config change had occured with the router - all connections good to NC
I get the report too that I am still logged in when I restart the game. -

Double XP Weekend and Server Hardware Improvements
... Double XP is always popular and usually drives our online numbers to record heights.

Sadly despite the "smoothing of the XP Curve" plans, the levelling grind is the one thing that drags me down and keeps me negative about this game, despite being a loyal, paying customer. Ironic that the Devs notice that the servers are full to busting during these weekends and that they don't comment on the almost graveyard like attendance for normal game play. Wierd phenomenom eh? In nearly four years I have only one L50 because I only have the physical realworld time to play for about 8 hours a week and am constantly grinding away at low level toons.
Surely it would be better to re-evaluate the entire XP/level system and keep people more interested for their money?
