In the ensuing titanic battle, 800 of 1000 heroes died, along with some 50,000 Rikti soldiers.

What is less well known is that of the 1,000 heroes in Alpha Team, 189 of them were */regen scrappers, of whom 166 surivived the battle.

Statesman's really old. Marcus Cole found his inner strength in the "far east" after WWI, and became the Statesman. He's not quite kung-fu, so I don't know what's up with the far east bit. Also, he's natural. No magic, no mutation, no etc...

Hasn't Statesman confirmed that he's an 'Incarnate' or something like that? States did a thread post about future Epic ATs and threw out a few names for Epic ATs they have planned internally. 'Incarnate' or something like that was mentioned, and somebody else (non-red name) followed up and said that they heard that that's what Statesman was.
....
I wish I could find the thread again. :/ Anyway, I heard a rumor that Statesman is an Incarnate and we'll see more of whatever that is later on as an Epic AT. -

The name from the manga and anime is pronounced "Alucard," but the Japanese alphabet does not have an L (when translated). The letter R is the closest letter translation. Or so I'm told.
[/ QUOTE ]
More OT:
To be techincal, the Japanese language has neither an 'l' sound nor an 'r' sound as American English speakers are familiar with them. What they do have is the 'lr'-ish sound familiar to fans of 'Engrish', which gets substituted, sometimes amusingly, for both l and r when doing phonetic translations of English into Japanese.
Thus, Alucard turns into Arucard. Heaven only knows what the name looks like in the original manga, but there is no good english translation. I've always wondered why it was translated as 'Arucard' instead of 'Alucard'. The latter is truer to the source the character was drawn from and is no less phonetically correct. -
Are there any good resources on Freedom Phalanx <-> Praetorian crossovers? I've heard about them, but really just intimations, and my poor MA/RE scrapper is only 35 and working on getting to the point where Antimatter can stomp my [censored] flat in one shot too.

Whether furry, teen, or whatever, there seem to be a disturbing number of people in this thread spending time actively worrying about other people's sexual fantasies. I suggest we all take an order of 'Don't spend so much time disapproving of other people'.
Go shapeshifting! I want a werewolf scrapper!
