No, it's not - though the language changed dramatically between Sims 1 and 2. :/ They expanded it a lot in 2, I don't know what they're doing with 3.

Let me clarify: you could hold a conversation using the same 'words', their expressions of disbelief and distaste, humor and such were all pretty much the same through the game. More like, I was trying to memorize the script. It was *hard*.

And having seen the outtakes that the actors did while recording them, I know it was hard for everyone

Coloring books are more fun, because you can instantly turn any existing material INTO pron, using a simple red, pink or peach crayon.

More exploitable than Battle Maiden, yes.

That's the point though - exploits *break the game*. They give an unfair advantage in whatever form (influence to spend on io's, badge accolades, whatever) to people who do them, above those who choose not to.

No, having tanks *herd the entire Brickstown map of 5th into a dumpster* WAS.

Having watched that, been told as an emp/dark defender "we don't need you, go away" or merely, "don't do anything, just stand there, I'll take care of this" - both of those are insults.

Both of those were *broken*. that's why that was changed. The glory days of dumpster tanking are over and have been for more than half the game's history now.

We have *better* tanks, now. We have *better teams* now, with powers that a fire/fire tank didn't even dream of before ED and the rest of the changes.

Way more fun powers, and what's more, "fun" includes *everyone on a team regardless of their power choices*.

Well don't forget to back up your info - you can move the screenshots out of the folder, into their own you know (and don't forget to save your email address book and favorites list. god have I done that a couple times )

Seriously - when I saw that stupid movie, it was on TV.

Think about that for a second.

This is like a 3.5 hour long movie *in the theaters*. On TV. Where they added commercial breaks every 30 minutes (at least).

The only reason I actually wanted to watch it was David Warner was in it, and I love him so him + Victorian outfits = love.

By the end of that freaking 5 + hour long fiasco I was screaming at the TV, "SINK! SIIIIINKKKKK!"

Almost all that information already IS in the game. There IS a "help" tab in your menu. It's reasonably complete for the basics, and anything else ... well, likely too specific to worry about putting in until someone sees a huge need.

"Recommendations on how to not screw up a good pick up group" is not in the game. That comes with "common sense".

It took me over 500 hours to get my fifties, and I enjoyed them that way.

I've been playing my first 50 for 4 years, my 2nd for 3, and my third since he was created around (I think) I9. I even had to wait to make him, because of costumery parts not being available until the release of the issue. Whether you play it after or not: why rush? Why not *just play*? You make it sound like it's a job that needs to be finished on a deadline.

If it IS an emergency shutdown, don't you think their time would be better spent fixing the issue, instead of writing about it here?

And that's fine for you - but the messages ARE there, IN the game, while you wait. And obviously no I'm not talking about the updater, half the time in firefox it's black until the "next" button comes up for me. But then, *I rely on the forums for my info* already.

But for those who don't - the link is right there. It's ridiculously easy to say to someone who's got a lot of questions, "next time you hit the updater, click on the 'forums' button at the top!" Or just "go to cityofheroes.com".

Honestly - people who are too lazy to rtfm, really, shouldn't complain when they don't understand. While I'm not saying there is a great manual - there ARE great ways to get the info you need in many places online AND in the game.

No, they look like a *garish* comic. Those went the way of the dinosaur, mostly. It goes in phases, obviously. This game reflects a far more 'realistic' looking environment. My friend really loves the way CO looks. He's also been known to take a beautifully rendered Poser figure and overexpose/flatten/cellshade it until it looks like ... well, junk imho.

Why do you bother PLAYING?

Seriously? If you think that putting hours into a character and *enjoying it* is impossible, why do you play? All this game IS is pretty much 'if you get to 50, make a new toon' - so... I'm curious?

Yup. While they might have "more" details and such? The fact that it's done with this process is abhorrent to me. I just can't even look at it. If they did away with that, it'd still be jerky, badly animated, and everything else it's been known for lately. But at least it might be *watchable*... *cringe*

Then stop generalizing. If the game is grindy to YOU, then YOU need to do something else. The game doesn't need to cater to you, you must understand how the game's played.

This game's one of the most solo-friendly games around.

If you can't get a team you can still be in chat, that's what a lot of us lonely Protectorites do. We chat *constantly* while many of us are *soloing*. It makes the time go by hilariously well.

So if YOU need a team, go find a team and play. They are out there - and we've covered this in no fewer than 2 threads within the last 4 days. Don't insult anyone else's ability to play the game solo OR with a team.

Anyone in the Jello Shooters channel will tell you I'm not "antisocial" nor an "iron man" player. I'm a casual soloist. I like playing this game, and enjoying every minute of it. When I've had enough, I log. When I need to team, I ask in Shooters because I trust them to be good players and friends.

I solo. I've soloed 3 50s, I'm in the process of soloing a 4th. On Protector. Where the others are.

I am not grinding. If the game felt grindy to me? I'd leave. The game isn't more or less so on any given server, please - that's mad.

See the sad sad part about this is, that if you remember the old 1st edition DnD product it had a little one-panel comic with a wizard and a fighter and whoever else sitting around a table and one says, "we're playing the new game, Papers and Paychecks!" ... well, the very sad thing is that my own rpg the World of Zekira COULD be just like that. bunch'a paperwork.

Well and backstabbing, races, exploration, breeding and blackmail.

Maybe there should just be a checklist.

etc.
