Granted a bit over a billion tonight to up and coming marketeers, including Mr. Liberty there!
I still got another billion earmarked for Ebil'ers if you are on Infinity come say hi. -
Thanks ya'll I have a blast giving away 50 something purples, not to mention the Lotg 7.5s and other crap ... not to mention the foot race for 1 billion inf ....
good times
tomorrow I'll give away the other half of my crap ...... Including at least a couple a billion inf -
My game account expires tomorrow, and I am not going to renew it.
so I thought if there was any Jr. Marketeers here looking for some seed inf blue side I will be giving grants of 200-500 mill till I am out starting tomorrow. Just look me up in game and we'll talk.
this is as close to a /ragequit as I can get. -
I just happened to notice that tomorrow my account here expires, so I am going to take that as a sign I should quit.
To that end look for me in game tonight and tomorrow I'll try to give away most of my stuff... again. -
TEA!
with so many millionaire posts the last couple of weeks is there going to be a run, and price spikes on tea and dainty little teacups ? -
fantastic!
anyone that takes their crafting table out for drinks is my kind of hero! -
Quote:I have been playing for years as well, but I only have 3 level 50s, I find it very unfair that you have 14.the prices on these are too high. WAY too high. 200-300-350-450+ mil? Get real whoever is pricing these.
I have like 14 50s, none of them are fully set up with anything. I've only seen one purple recipe drop and I've been playing since the beginning, and a couple of the other sets. I don't have time to farm and give up my hobbies like sleeping and eating to play all the time, and never will. Where's the "balance" for this , huh?
Wait no I don't; I made a choice to play my way and you made a choice to play yours.
The funny thing is if your goal was to "IO out" your toons the raw inf to do so is made while you are sleeping and eating. -

Quote:I think this is where most of my enjoyment comes from is tweaking out the best power house build I can. I plan something in mids, spend a pile of inf in making it happen, then play test it and spend more piles tweaking it just so.If it becomes even harder to make a build now... Then i'm out. That's my favorite thing in game and i feel the drop rates already too low.
Playing my tank last night some PuG scrapper asked " do you ever take damage, your green bar hasn't moved in 3 missions" .... or on my Fire/Rad being told by a blaster to slow down and let other people attack too ... Those are the moments I enjoy ...
...well that and selling IOs for the inf cap. -
Man with all the work you put into this you should get some special "more dedicated than us" badge from the devs. or a few months "free" game time in a "here's your game time back" gesture.
-
Quote:I tend to agree with this.we got a 'we didn't change anything' line from some dev, but in light of the deafening silence in the face of well documented evidence that something is wrong I'm starting to wonder if that was some Statesman weasel-speak.
Like, "well, we didn't change anything- your invisible teammates are stealing all the drops, just like on a REGULAR 8 player team!"
The only real way to test this is get 8 ppl on the same server and test a map in dozens of configurations of team size/location and "virtual team size". In other words stop playing the game and become unpaid Err paying QA techs for a week or two.
I find it disheartening that their own internal development and QA people (who should be far more equipped to gather this type of statistical data) haven't discovered this "anomaly" and corrected it already. But then again thinking back to the "half sized ticket drops on teams" bug that went all the way through beta and wasn't fixed until a week or so later. So maybe in a couple of weeks they'll fix this too.
ETA:
Or maybe this is WAI ... but I sure hope not. -
Quote:Ohh yeah? we'll we ran it in 1:50:01We ran a 59:59 MoITF last night. I ran my lolz regen (not the best vs Cimerorans, but my lolzbadges toon) so I'll tank or whatever future runs.
and our team sucked ... a lot, hell they let me on it!
we has 2 scrappers ( one was lv 44) 3 blasters, 2 mind/emps and my tank of uselessness .... that AV fight at the end was don't right sadly -
Quote:This was our experience as well.Tried for Master Kahn last night as well, had 1 death so we failed. But besides that, the whole team also crashed/mapserved right before we defeated Reichman (last I saw on my screen he had about 60 HP left). When we all logged back in, the task was no longer in our task window, so it looks like the mission was completed, and yet no merits, and one person who was using a toon that hadn't done the Kahn TF yet also did not receive a badge for the TF itself. So yeah, defintely bugged, we all sent petitions.

I read MurphyKnox's Post on how to Join The Club in 4 steps. Man I am just too lazy to remember all that. So....
I Did it in one.
And to paraphrase the immortal words of Diamond Head ...

I have to work today and tomorrow I got the feeling I'll have to beg and bribe to get the Mo badges now.

Quote:Ahh! yes I can see where that would be a form of painting the tape, however in the game I would assume that it would only work for large volumes of commodities. you take a hit in buying 5 to begin with, then another 10% loss when they re-sell at your painted price, so you would need a significant stock to make up the difference and get you back in the black. Personally I wouldn't bother doing this as wildly as stock and prices fluctuate even on the blue chips. Just set your price and wait hell even Fulmens came close to unloading his luck charms!Actually, as I understand it, it is doing 5 "artificial sales" to make the history
look like some arbitrary pricing is "normal" for that item.
In re-reading his post (reading comprehension FTW - DOH! ) that's
not what he did (My Bad) - he was simply playing with bid numbers
rather than the last 5 history... Not sure how I misread it the first time.
So, I have no idea wth I was thinking when I said that - must be a
case of the "Mondays" or early Alzheimer's.
Ahhh well, here's hoping the rest of the week is more lucid.

I have a (the?) gladiator's armor +3% on the market now.
-
please correct me if I am wrong, but that term is more of an investment term used to describe artificially increasing trade volume; not showing more demand for a commodity.
as to the rest of your post I agree if you are going to artificially increase demand do it with a couple hundred bids not 5 anything less won't get noticed by anyone.
To the OP:
as far as common IOs I convert all my common salvage into common IOs ( you can store 100 IOs in a table or 30 common salvage in a rack) and the sell them off for ~600K each some sell in minutes some in days but they always sell with a ~350K profit and it gives my alts something to do -
Quote:What ? ... I think some of that was English. Something about going to bed with people that are not farmers, and someone else or not someone else. And everyone being happy. Something about nerfing a farm bin being done ? Apathy about CO keeping their three boxes open on I 16 with fifty jets solo ? Something about issue of only harch and deprive the casuals ? It appears to be a usual occurrence. And they enjoy both worlds.
Yeah ... I'm sure this makes perfect sense in some way, shape, or form.
I bet he is going to have one hellva hangover in the morning. -
Quote:don't they sell for the crafting cost so ~200K each or 2 mil for 10?With new freespecs coming, burn through the ones you already have to make some inf.
Useful mainly on poor/low level characters, a respec can earn a million* inf prety easily.
I'm sure markert regs already now this, but :
1. Buy cheap lvl50+ IO's, SO's to fill up your enhancment tray. It should cost less than 5000/ehancement. Sometimes dip into 45+ Io's.
2. Switch to dual build if you dont want to 'have' to go through a complete respec (if you are not changing powers/slots around, and just respecing for inf)
3.
4. Profit
*Actual inf earning may vary, not redeemable for novelty prizes. -

Quote:rep still decays, but the defeat timer doesn't resetBwah? doesn't reset? this mean you no longer lose rep by the hour?
in the olden days, if you defeated a player rep was awarded, and a 10 minute timer started, if you defeated that player again within that 10 minutes no rep was awarded and the timer started over meaning you had another 10 minute wait.
well in an attempt to curb farming PVP IOs they changed that when they attached the PVP IO roll to Rep award and not defeats.
Now you defeat a player, rep is awarded, and a 5 minute timer starts, if you defeat that player again with in 5 minutes no rep is awarded but the timer doesn't start over. so if you defeat a player every minute you'll get rep once every 5 minutes -
buy for less than last 5
sell for more than last 5
go play and get stuff
repeat -
much easier now that it was. I got it in less than 2 days, faster if the target has a high rep already.
with the pvp changes the rep timer is halved to 5 minutes, and doesn't reset. at best you get 12 points an hour, but 10 seems to be a more accurate real world number. -
I am thankful that you can convert inf to prestige. I was making a mess of my SGmates base with all my crafting and marketing, so I splintered off into a solo base, and if I hadn't be able to convert ~3 billion to prestige I would have a sad little base. I now have a big boy base with all the storage and t-porters ... and now get to complain about needing more salvage storage space
I don't think the conversion rate is too high, it just forces you to make a choice, how bad do you want base stuff Vs personal stuff ( or how long till you have it all)
