@Extremus: Yes, I know about IOs. I played with a planner, tried the various sets. I lose out somewhere on recharge or heal in all of them.

@Archy: Yes, EndRed would be nice, but not at the expense of recharge or heal which are the two primary factors when you have recovery coming out of every pore. I don't have to stop and rest between groups unless they are pretty big groups or have a boss in, I think that's fast enough.

All I'm really saying is that adding in some extra set enhancements which do just heal or just recharge (or both) would make them more applicable and give people a broader choice when adding enhancements from a set to a power. Unfortunately, this would also negate one of the purposes of enhancement sets. Adding +acc enhancements would not negate that purpose, so would be more likely to happen.

    We probably need more sets.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think you need to play some more with the planner.

EDIT: Guess I should reply with a more detailed response.

    6 slots using SOs, 3 rech, 3 heal = 94,93% rech and 94,93% heal.
    6 slots using a single set = 73,78% end red, 97,49% rech and 97,49% heal + bonus'.
4 slots mixed IOs saving you 2 slots = 95,19% rech and 95,19% heal

Again...look at the planner a bit more maybe?
  2. Regens may not need the extra endurance reduction as say dark armour does, but no matter what it's nice to have.

Some people like to play fast and on other difficulties than heroic too.

    Auto-casting

    [ QUOTE ]
If you've accidentally hit the 'Z' key, it cancels out the auto-activate ring.

Perhaps this could explain the problem? (easy to do if using default keymapping, especially if using the 'X' key to alter altitude while flying)

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ^This.

Easy to accidentially hit the 'Z' key or use it to cancel another queued power which will then also cancel the auto'd power.
  4. All my nonscrapper toons just keeps getting worse and worse as they advance in level...really quite frustrating.

If by sophistication and style you mean slow? Then yeah....I guess I see your point.

    Brutes are eeeeeeeeeeeevil
    Scrappers ftw!
Besides there is nothing more satisfying than critting on a Tier 9 power with BU on it, pretty much one-shotting most stuff. Brutes can't do that...so ner ner

    [/ QUOTE ]

I still say it's better to oneshot a +2 lieutenant with my tier 5 power (which unlocks at level 8) without relying on a small chance to crit. Brutes can do that.

To each their own i guess.

  11. Well...seeing Boy Wonders build's somewhat..alternative I'll post mine. This build makes me able to stand toe to toe with AVs and then go afk.

I always liked the buff up and pray approach, none of this temp power stuff.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ^This.

What we tend to do is go to corner around the side of the main building. Have someone with a deathwish pull (usually me) and kill the heroes following which will be somewhere between 1 and 4 of them. Either rinse and repeat or just zergrush the remaining ones.

  14. [ QUOTE ]

So this is solo and pvp then?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not sure exactly I understand the question here?

Anyways. For solo and team PvP the same powerchoices still stands (except maybe Spectral Wounds could be dropped if you needed the powerslot).

All the buffs from Thermal would be largely redundant for solo PvP as you can effectively only buff your Phantasm but they're absolutely needed and are quite awesome for team PvP. So all powers would be needed from Thermal except the rez.

Other powerpicks that would be needed would be:
    Swift, Hurdle, Stamina from Fitness
Combat Jumping, Super Jump, Acrobatics from Leaping
    Hasten, Super Speed from Speed
  15. I guess it can but it's really more of a teamfriendly combo.

From illusion you more or less want all except flash and group invis.

To solo you really just want warmth, heat exhaustion and melt armor.

    Teamwise it's another matter entirely.
  16. Seeing noone posted I guess I should say that I fixed the problem by installing an older nvidia driver.
  17. Yeah...like Max here....stuck with E.V.I.L...what kinda dumb names that?
  18. I recently formatted my PC and since then I'm getting a little black box ingame whenever I'm supposed to get the little blue hand animation (when clicking doors, missiontext etc.)

Only real difference from my current installation from my old one is the updated Nvidia driver so guessing that's it. But seeing I havent seen others with this problem I thought I'd ask here before trying a different driver...yes...I'm lazy

    Help appreciated.

What constant stream of nerfs have we had lately? Honestly?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Mesmer.
  21. Nice to see I'm not the only one

To be honest I think this kind of change is probably already in the devs books considering the QoL changes we've gotten lately but it never hurts to ask.

    Hopefully they'll consider it
  22. This probably have been suggested before but I couldn't find any so here goes.

I hate having to go through lots and lots of enhancements I can't use to find the one I was looking for.
I'd like to be able to sort the enhancements in the storage tables in the base.

So what I'm proposing is a dropdown menu to sort the enhancements by:
