I did not argue this what so ever so do not stuff it my mouth. I told you Triumph is not a ghost town as you gave it a blanket statement. We may been smaller than others but we make it up in our own way.
Triumph has always been my home HUB, and Forgotten Legion have their roots there and that will never change. So I still go play there, and still feel it is the most friendly of all servers, save a few players. It is that old home that I will always love.

Virtue is the city I moved to so I could grow as a person.

I have no hard feelings towards Tri.

Nice way of putting it... not really.

No, it is all about play time, and pugs. I have been playing with the same HUB people for over 5 years, and have teams at night all I want. During the day, it is dead. Defend it all you want, but the numbers don't like. There are more people on Virtue.
  3. Some do. I have a villain that is a good oni summoned and trapped in the isles. He does a martial art (DM) called Oni-do. All of my DM or DA characters are practitioners of this ancient art. That is where the knowing stops.
  4. I moved from Triumph to Virtue because Tri had become a ghost town. I have had very few bad experiences on Virtue, and mostly have been on great teams. All of the RP teams I have been on were up front about it.

Freedom had some very good players, I would say outside of my Global Community (because we have played together for 5 years) the best I have played with, but they were not friendly. Unfriendly was what I got most of the time there. That is only my experience, and not all players there are like the ones I encountered I am sure.
  5. To be fair Jade, I have been on these boards for a long long time. Much of the time it is how you say things, and not just what you say. After a time if you are calm and respectful, people return in kind.
  6. I have, several times. Generally I just want them to complete a mission for me. I only contact them if I have used my complete, or I ran the mission more than once and think it is bugged. There are some who seem to have horrid English.

With that said, my wife is from Asia, and her English is far far better than the American that I speak. Many of the Asians that I have ever met have better English than I.

Come on, you read the boards just like I do, and we are both in some of the threads where people who have supported this game for years w/o complaints are at the "Taking a break" point. Many of them say it is because marketing is giving us nothing, and it is becoming frustrating.

This isn't on the Devs, or the Mods, it is on marketing for this game. The event is awesome (as I have said once today) because at least the mods are trying to do SOMETHING to keep things fresh. It may not be what we want, but they are trying.

This morning I thought I may be throwing too much at the marketing guys, then I listened to the Hero Con pod cast again, and decided my ire was well placed.

Today on VU this was discussed again, and even those who loved the event thought the lack of info was a bit frustrating.

We who read and post on these boards may just be the minority of this game's players, but we are the vocal minority. Which means we are willing to go to other boards and complain about what happens here.

So all in all, I am happy with the Devs, I am happy with the mods, but I have a strong strong dislike of the marketing dept. I would not buy them a beer.

I realize we're waiting for Going Rogue but what I also realize is we've received no new information on it since Hero Con and no release date.

Going Rogue coming out ( "Soon" TM ) doesn't excuse the devs from doing their jobs and frankly even while it's in the pre-release phases I think we should see something new. I however have the sneaking suspicion that Going Rogue is going to be used as an excuse to avoid doing any actual work or adding anything new until Going Rogue..

...Whenever it comes out ( "SOON"! TM )
This seems to be the way a large portion of the community feels. I really hope someone is taking note of it.

I made a guy yesterday, huge body type and about seven foot and change and he was barely even to the Hellions he was fighting.

Either cut all the NPCs down by a foot (and Council down by two feet) or rescale the PC height grid so a fully maxed height character is 6'5" or something. 'Cause what it says is eight feet ain't no eight feet in any sane world.

I shouldn't have to take my 8' character and stand next to Penelope Yin to feel 8' tall.

Really, I would like to see our height slider go to 10' AND the population of Paragon and the isles be shrunk by about 1 or 2'

    Takin' A Break

    This thread makes me sad.
  12. Normally when we (the teams I have been on) need to fight at 50 in a zone event we ask that the star be passed to a 50, and/or a new team task selected.

The SSK system is by far and away better than the old system. In the old system getting teams even within my global community was hard because a mentor was required for EACH low level person on the team. No one 50 can have a team of level 10s if they want.

New system is great, even with its flaws.

I don't think I was hostile in VU2010, but I didn't lie and say I thought it was great. It was awesome that they tried to do something. When I think about it, we complain and make our dislike of how the marketing dept controls/dosen't share info, but they (community reps) are the ones who have to look at it. It was very cool that they tried to do something to change things up, as opposed to just saying effem.

On a whole my annoyance is directed at marketing, and any one who listened to, or went to hero con knows that they (marketing) are the ones who don't want to share.

So, Thanks to the community reps for trying.

    Same here.
  15. I moved from Tri to Virtue because I play weird hours, and there always seems to be people on. I loved Tri, it is the friendliest server, but it was dead.

I still hate marketing, after 1 mixed drink, and 2 beers I seem to hate them more.

Was that your toon? If so I am sorry I called you a spy
  17. It was anti climatic for some reason.
  18. I think some of us are getting to that ticked off point I mentioned earlier. It would take a very serious invasion to excite me, at this point I just dodge them, and have for years.

News excites me, because I love the potential this game has. I really love this game. Having my strings pulled just makes me bitter though.
  19. I really hope not, but I have a sinking feeling it is just another raid.
  20. If they were waiting to get more build up, it may be back firing. IF they wait much longer, I think people will just start getting annoyed, which will shift into ticked off.
  21. Yeah, I pretty much think they suck.
  22. Funny, I could have sworn (may be wrong) that not long ago they were looking for (Had a job opening) for an animator that specialized in non-bipedal movement. So, I would love to see a power that let us run on all fours in this pack. Sure that would be hard, and weird looking for some characters.

This post just made my day. A mental picture came into my head of you holding a marketing person by the shirt slapping him and yelling "THEY TOLD ME TO!"

    Ahhh the little things.
