SOme of my build have travel powers, but NR has definitely let me be more comfortable skippping them. NR beats the heck out of hurdle+CJ.
My kin's new build has no travel power, but takes Inertial reduction instead. That's an even trade as I wouldn't've taken it before. But NR + Siphon speed or IR should be plenty of travel power.
But NR + swift + quickness works out to 50-60 mph iirc. A couple of careful keybinds to toggle thing automagically... and hello previously unavailable power selection. -
Mine are different. I use one to log into forums and another to log into game

One big difference is that that particular MMO already sold it's in game currency for real world currency.

My name is all_hell and I am a hoarder. I have a great deal of trouble holding on to cash. I keep bids up for various things I might need in the future for one of my other alts. As the bids come through, I squirrel them away in storage. Lately I have been doing some odd work on a lowbie almost exclusively, so the inf from my higher level toons has been steadily dwindling as my purchases are made.
I have one rack of things I buy to sell later and another couple of racks that are for my later use. I haven't gotten into my to-sell rack lately because I have kept my BM slots full of bids.
So I would guess that lately I have been 'losing' around 200-300 mil a week. -
yes and no
EM doesn't have as much dmg mitigation as some of the other sets
EM doesn't have a ST dps chain that's so much greater than other sets that it makes up for the relative deficit of dmg mitigation
If you're against one mob or even two or three mobs it works well enough. However, after that it really loses its luster when compared to other sets.
For soloing small spawn mishes em may work well enough, but it may not work as well for other things or even as well as other sets.
It's not more common anymore because most CoX stuff revolves around team situations or larger spawn size. Many soloists are enhancement farming which requires more AoE capacity. Merit farmers like Stalkers for their more easily achieved burst damage and inherent stealthiness -
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Table_of_Special_IOs
Globals are Special IOs that act like Set Bonuses in that they are always on even if the power isn't activated and even if the power is greyed out because of exemplaring! However, the one thing that will shut off a Global IO is exemplaring more than three levels under the level of that Global IO.
-
lower level ones work when mal'd down to lower levels
-
Don't worry about how to slot after you get your IO sets.
You can earn three respecs via respec trials. Additionally, you will get respecs via veteran rewards, and the occasional new Issue. And they are available from the NCSoft store for $9.99 iirc
So slot for what you're doing now and then when you're ready, respec

There are places where tactics really matter.
You can find them.
Other than upping your spawn and diff numbers above what your team actually is, there are a number of task forces and ArchVillains who require more than a flat out roll.
Of course, once you have an experienced with well made toons, even the tricky stuff will look like a flat out mad dash even though it's really the result of a lot of past planning and consideration -
I made this using the same power choices at the same levels as you. (Though I would choose some things differently)
You should get farther on this:
About 100 more hp and 7+ more HP/sec as well as modestly increased res and def
.26/s more recov gross and .09 more recov net as well as reduced attack end costs.
After a certain point, fury makes additional dmg enhncments not worth as much for brutes as for other ATs. So a solid ability to take attacks counts toward your dmg dealing power.

To start I'm going to guess that you are running out of end.
You get more mileage out of you end redux ehnac if you put them in your 5 slotted attacks than sticking them in your toggles.
Beyond that I immediately see that you've got too many end redux slots in combat jumping. It's already a very, very cheap power end wise.
Depending on your goals and other things, having two def enhnc in there is usually over kill as well.
you have seriously gimped yourself by not slotting up high pain tolerance. As i understand it, your regen is percentage based. Based on your HP. HPT ups your HP, and thus ups your regen
taunt is autohit xpt in pvp iirc, so a rechg ot taunt may be better than acc
give me a bit to really look at it -
Quote:I am aware of this. Some vids of AV take downs involve epic length fights.AVs have pretty high Regeneration. You can't really "plink" them and make any real progress, even after half an hour. You'd have to really be engaging them in battle to take them down.
If you want to use another word for doing a little more dps than their regen for an extended period of time feel free. IMVHO, plink seems appropriate term for such a strategy. YMMV -
I think you should probably add the qualifier "in a reasonable amount of time."
If you're willing to plink away at it I suspect that most any AV can be soloed. I've never been willing to spend upwards of 30 min on a single fight. -
This is kind of what I was getting-- that the wordings were wrong even if the number agreed. That's why I wanted some visual representations. They're sometimes easier to digest.

I love teh SF but just can't ever guarantee what time I log on. Too many variables I have only marginal control over.
At 7pm central the probability of me being online is 0; however, as the time approaches 12am central the probability of me being online approaches 99.
I have reasonable expectations to be on around 9:30 C (10:30 E) on the 5th. However, if I miss it I can always just start one of my own. -
If you run another one after that I could come along.
It's my new favorite SF.
But I doubt I can get on before 10:30 Eastern -
I am all for new ways to sort through the thousands of arcs to find one I think would be fun.
-
Quote:And the solution to your problem is?My point is that no matter how you use the existing system, anything less than 5 stars means the arc is more likely to be buried 1000's of pages in where it will likely see very few or no plays ever again. It does not matter what any of us think the ratings should mean.
WN
I am not certain that everyone or even most people use the filters the same way that you do. As noted up thread, many with 5 stars are farms, which generally bore me. And FWIW, I search by tags and keywords when I want to do a MA arc. -
I keep getting this error when I try to login

After reading the list of vulnerabilities, I'm not too sure that changing my account pwd is all that helpful.
I don't actually see any vulnerability that would be affected by changing my pwd more often than usual.
- 1. Wrong Account Bug. Sometimes simply logging into the NCSoft site takes you to someone else's account instead, with FULL CONTROL over that account. An attacker need only use a bot to log into their own account over and over until the bug occurs, then steal the account the bug gives them.
- 2. Advanced Vulnerabilities Reported by Mung on Aion Forums
- "SQL injection is apparently NOT prevented very well. [Mung] was able to send a basic acknowledge request and instead of "page not found" or "incorrect login" [Mung] received an SQL ack!"
- "The ENTIRE web domain is unprotected from file mirroring (process of copying all files housed at the web host)." Chthon's note: HOLY ****! That's very bad....
- "[T]he majority of the process functions for each page under the "secure.ncsoft.com" domain are scripted in PERL but referencing Javascript multiple times for all sorts of verifying processes. This can easily be manipulated to a users intention."
- 3. Brute Force Vulnerabilities
- Login failure gives different error message for real usernames and non-usernames. An attacker can generate a list of valid usernames by systematically running all character strings against the NCSoft site's username field.
- Security questions for password reset have dangerously small search spaces that can be guessed quickly. The birthday question (which is the default!) is particularly easy. So is the car color question.
- Failed attempt at answering security questions that includes one correctly guessed question returns error message that tells user which question is correct. This vastly reduces search time for a brute force attack.
- Password reset attempts are allowed too frequently. 5 attempts every 12 hours is too many given the small search spaces.
- IP's attempting multiple failed logins or password reset attempts are not blocked, blacklisted, or greylisted.
- Attacker can specify new NCSoft password immediately upon correctly guessing password reset questions. The system should create a random password sent in a confirmation e-mail it to the account's associated address.
- The GW username is displayed from the NCSoft site. It should not be. This gives an attacker 1/3 of the GW login credentials.
- Attacker can specify new GW password immediately upon accessing the NCSite. User should be required to enter old password and/or respond to confirmation e-mail to the account's associated address. [Edit: Apparently this was fixed a few hours ago. Old password is now required.]
- No countermeasures at all against brute forcing NCSoft password.(Gaile states that she has been told there are, but forum members making repeated failed login attempts did not encounter lockout, blacklisting, or increasing delay. Suspect Gaile has been misinformed by NCSoft staff.)
- 4. GW character names are present in old support tickets. This renders the new character name security question useless.
-
I also use the star system differently than you do, Wrong_Number.
I reserve 5 for ones that knock my socks off for w/e reason. And one for ones that are too horrible to leave unrated. most of my ratings are either - no rating or 2-4. I send a little feedback with every rating (other than no rating) though offering a short explanation of what I liked.
