I wanna see if anyone can get 141 without looking it up, because it's pretty damn obscure for most people. -
-
I can totally live with a sequel/prequel so long as they get the art design right (Blade Runner has massively influenced my love of Sci-Fi) but a film this iconic does NOT need a remake.
-
I'll pistol whip the next guy that says "abridged"!

I don't think getting 50 tesla coils together would be too hard, especially if they felt it could make things go faster than light.
So, either they just haven't bothered trying it yet or more likely 50 tesla coils won't make things move faster than light. -
Talking of cross overs, the director of Fantastic Four 2 originally wanted to have Spider-Man, Daredevil and a few other heroes at the wedding, but Fox said no.

I think that's the problem... there's nothing to talk about... yup, the writing is good, the action is good, the direction is good... but... nothing is happening.
After watching episode 4 last night I'm thinking... how can this possibly be a ten part story? How much further can it drag on? What more can happen that hasn't already?
It's not really building to anything, it's just ambling along and we're still no wiser about what's going on then when it started.
So yeah, any discussion can be summed up with:
"Did you see Torchwood?"
"Yup."
There's nothing to actually discuss!
One thing I will point out, that I'm finding annoying is, how does anyone know Jack can die? They say everyone has been made immortal and he's now mortal... but he could just have been made like everyone else, he could still be immortal, just not healing super fast. -
Quote:Or, y'know, if it's the classic series he'll just just straight up kill you.Yes he can. Whenever there is combat the Doctor always ends up as the Mastermind and the people he's helping fight for him like good little henchmen.
In the new series he'll just kill your babies. -
-
Of course, you know the first thing he'd do is destroy the Pillar of Ice and Flame. Unauthorised time travel and all that.
-
A Sonic/Sonic Defender surely? With high emphasises on the Primary.
-
Yeah this, you only "lose" if the reference has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, such as this thread, but that's a corollary added later, not part of Godwin's Law.
-
Because 1: The guy's dead and this isn't about him any more and 2: I would like to continue to see comics and films made by Marvel, I get the feeling if the heirs were granted copyright they might be spiteful enough to give them to other companies.
-
I think it's more of a criticism on how underfunded NASA is than on the amount of money spent on soldier's air con.
-
-
Whiiiiich since he's aid it probably means they aren't planning to do that.
Eccleston's opinion is a bit disheartening though.
But then, whenever I see interviews with him, he never seems to have passion for whatever he's in. Oh, he'll like the writing or characters or cinematography, but no love for the actual show/film as an entity. -
So you're saying Kirby was under duress working for Marvel?
-
Quote:The question is though, is it morally right to demand more money for work that you have already done at an agreed price? From a moral standpoint: there is the viewpoint that if it weren't for Jack that many of these characters wouldn't exist at all or in the form they exist now, so pay up.
Of course as mentioned, this is a moot point since Kirby isn't involved at all, only his estate. -
Really though? I mean, we all think of Marvel as the bad guys because they are a big corporation, but an agreements an agreement. If he worked For Hire then he worked For Hire, why should Marvel relinquish their rights because Kiby's Estate don't like the fact they're not getting any money?

Well, it'd be a bit odd to give away such a major twist in the trailer, I'm expecting it'll be something else and that scene was included to do what a trailer is designed to do, get people talking.
