That's certainly a very... ah. Distracting angle.
Great piece, though! -
...that place just makes me glad I tend to grab 'Hover' and/or Fly whenever possible and/or necessary.
For realz. -

I'm half afraid of what Luptonius would look like if he was traced from porn...
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably fat. As a fair majority of men in porn aren't exactly slim.
After all, the target audience isn't really interested in seeing a hot guy.
...Not that I've thought about the subject enough to properly analyze it. -
Huh.
Very neat stuff.
I should probably scribble zis name down somewhere so I can actually remember it at some point.. I like to remember which artists don't make me facedesk with their styles.
...and some of those that do. I'm looking at you, Liefield. -

Hm.
I could post more often, I suppose.
Sadly, these days, I've become a professional lurker.
Or something. I dunno.
I had a point originally, but I lost it. (Cue wandering off aimlessly)

You're getting paid to lurk =O.O=
(wo)Man, I'd like that job.

If I were getting paid to lurk, I would be a very happy netholic.
I more meant to say that I spend so much time lurking on the Internet, that it may as well be my job.
I can dream, though. -

Conga rats, guys! ;D
It was certainly fun to participate in. And, I'm still happy I snagged my number. Mmmm. 42.
Besides, this gives me a chance to get a better costume. MWA HA HA! -
Awesome piece! You have reinstilled my fear of zombies, good sir.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find a chainsaw, a ripped t-shirt, and a shotgun. -
-
Very nice!
Though, every time I look at her top, all I can think is 'Pettable'. It just looks so soft!
...I mean the fabric. No, I'm serious! -
Yanno, it almost kinda makes you feel sorry for poor TA, with all the abuse..
Almost, but we all know that only really counts in horse-shoes and hand grenades. Some really funny and cute stuff, indeed. -
I'm startin' to really dig your style as you start to show it more, Squirrel. Kind of a retro-anime feel to it, that is rather appealing. Keep it up! It's coming along fantastic. ;D
-
I'm glad I'm easily categorized as a vixen, and thus avoid any confusion about what I am.
... No, not -that- kind of vixen. Yanno, a female fox!
*Naps on Squirrel's head.* Though, it does beg the question..
ACORNS or HEADPOUNCING!? -
Hmm. Is Squirrel getting better...
Judging by that? That's a definate affirmative. Veeery nice piece. Can't wait to see what you do with it, though I'm gonna have to glance at it again when I'm NOT medicated to try and form something close to constructive. Cursory glance, though, says it's coming along very nicely. -

Haha, TA's kid sister.. that's a hillarious idea. like this?
Oh well, there's always Pretty Soldier TA .

... ... ...
I have not words, for how -awesomely- hilarious both of those are. I just love the little <3 speech-bubbles. ;D
Though, TA does look pretty cute as a chixx0r. Rrrawr. -
Definately love the color choices! And very good pieces in addition to that.
But ze colors! Zey are much ze goodness. -
Think of yourself as Rock Lee (from Naruto)!
Some people are born with natural talent for something. But, it doesn't make them automatically better. They just get a head start, and it's a little easier for them. However, with hard work and effort, someone with little to no talent in an area can, eventually, meet or exceede what those with natural talent have.
Why? Because you have nothing to work with. You learn the basics, and you learn them well, because that's all you really have to work with. People with 'talent' can typically skip the basics - and miss out on a lot of stuff that would probably have been good for them -to- learn. Because you've spent so much time at 'mediocre' (Note: I think your stuff is great, I'm just using that in terms of your own perception, not mine) levels, you've had plenty of time to absorb the material there. You just have to keep working at it.
Don't give up! Don't lose hope! Keep pushing along, and before you know it, your goal will be in sight. -
I rather like both pieces, Squirrely! They're pretty neat (I especially like the elf ranger one, love the pose and linework there). I bet if you worked a bit harder at it, you could produce some real stunning stuff. Maybe you could try adding some scenery to the background of the ranger sketch? And adding some more detail to the one of Yumii (a series of action-shots... Training montage!).
Both pieces have a real nice feel to them, though. -
I'd say converting it to a .PNG or .GIF would probably be better, actually. .JPGs lose clarity, but the above two formats typically -don't-. The .PNG format is actually designed (mostly) for web-hosting, and while the .GIF format is limited in color size (256, I think. Something like that), it's a loss-less format.
S'what I learned in my web-dev class. -
Going any length of period without a net connection is Hell. Poor TA!
I sympathize completely, and hope it gets fixed ASAP. -
*Dabs Squirrel's nose with a tissue.* Poor Squirrely.
That said, I think the origin you pick should be what YOU think tbe background of the character is. Not what someone ELSE thinks it is. It is, after all, your character.
And that's all I gotta say about that. -
Well, historically, most women that actually used combat-worthy stuff most likely borrowed or stole it, and were pretending to be male anyway, no matter how well endowed they really were. Very few exceptions to this, I'm afraid, given the prevalence of male domination in ancient society.
That said, giving stylized chestpieces for female characters (whether they have anything or not) is a perfect way to keep the female identity clear in armored pieces, and adds a bit more detail. You don't -have- to (and I still like the piece of Replete), but it's something to keep in mind, and definately adds something to the piece itself. -
Looks awesome to me so far, on both counts!
Though, just because a lady wears armor doesn't mean she can't have something that, er. Displays... her assets... that's not coming out right at ALL.
What I meant to say, is that oftentimes armor stylized for a female body (most often decorative in most realistic cases that I can think of) are done so as to take into account the more complicated female shape - with specific plates covering the breasts.
Just a gripe. It's a cute piece all the same, and I don't think you should change it for the world. -
