Wow - you haven't played in a zone where Freakshow are just hanging out in the streets? let me guess - MA all the way, right? ...
... You may want to go research what is outside the MA a bit - ParagonWiki is your friend. There is lots more to see than the inside of the AE Building in Atlas Park.

Get off your high horse, legend.

Get off your own.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, you get off your own!
"No, you!"
"No, not me, you"
"Oh, yeah ... "
"yeah!"
"Oh yeah?"
"yeah!"
Just thought I'd be helpful and continue your posts for you.
By the way, Ad_Asta didn't need your help -- quite articulate without you.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah!"

Thanks, Hobo.
I had already almost abandoned the thread, but it's nice to have someone give you a compliment - I like being called "articulate". -
[ QUOTE ]
Back Alley Brawler had already made a post about this, stating that is was possible, and doable, that it would only take a minimal effort on their part to do.
My question is why wasn't this done? Granite is so bland, I look exactly the same as the other 6 stone brutes when I'm chilling around the AE water cooler. It would definitely benefit from sprucing up.

If you are really asking us (the players) whay wasn't something done, I'm afraid we really can't answer you. You seem to have already found something from BaBs that partially answers your question. PM him to ask "why wasn't it done?"
OTOH, if this is a suggestion to allow power customization of Granite Armor's appearance, sure, why not, but it looks like it's coming soon anyway. -

And even after 4 1/2 years of playing, there are still zones I haven't seen.
[/ QUOTE ]
So why not just go there?
[/ QUOTE ]
Working on it!
I just got a character of a level to reasonably go to Grandville without getting smooshed. And I haven't made it over to Monster Island yet. I've never done a Hami raid either, so I haven't checked out the Abyss. -
<----- Egyptian Catgrl with funerary half-mask.
-
Ghost Falcon in PI, the store in the Midnighter's Club and the one in Cimerora, and the Vanguard Depot in RWZ.

It's possible to get to fifty by only doing well-written and challenging arcs in the AE buildings.
Therefore, you could be level 50 with hard-won experience fighting a huge variety of opponents and situations, all without leaving Atlas.
[/ QUOTE ]
While that is true, you also miss a lot of very cool things that are located in other zones by levelling that way (and it may be for the OP choosing to level only that way).
You miss
The Midnighters Club & Cimerora
The Rikti Crah Site in RWZ (and the mass confusion of a Ship Raid)
Seeing the Giant Octopus in Indy Port
The spooky Thorn Tree at Night (with all the demons flying around)
The creepiness of Dark Astoria
The Thrill of FLYING! My favorite thing to do in the game is explore a zone by flying all over a zone. And even after 4 1/2 years of playing, there are still zones I haven't seen.
What I was trying to say was to advise OP to get out and explore because it can be lots of fun in itself. There are sly little jabs that War Witch and others have put in the game (the guy in Port Oakes standing with his feet in a tub of cement was hilarious the first time I saw it). There are Easter eggs and secret room and all kinds of stuff. If all you do is level in the MA, you are missing some pretty good stuff. -
Vampire: The Masquerade
Origins starts Wednesday, so I'm inspired! -

I'm not sure that I understand your post?
Both of them have sent me to Lorenz Ansaldo in Sharkshead, as I recall (but my memory has been a bit faulty lately). Have you been sent to someone else?
Just trying to understand, not flame....
[/ QUOTE ]
Both Kalinda and Burke send you to talk to Lorenz but Lorenz doesn't actually give you a mission. It's kind of set up as a two part mission.
I think that's what to OP was getting at.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, I see now. I didn't remember that part. I thought Lorenz had been the mission-giver.
Thanks. -
[ QUOTE ]
We intended to do that when a mass of the SG got to 30th. We formed a big team then attempted to do those missions but were too busy fending off ambushes from rikti and DE.
Seeing how well that worked, we got the tailor mission done too so that we had a 3rd costume to try the new auras on.
Big enough team and all you have to do is be patient.

Great idea! -
Yeah, I guess my post was a little bit snarky, but it just struck me as odd that someone hadn't seen Freaks on the streets since they are hard to avoid in Talos just across the street from WW. (And I do remember killing a few Freaks in Indy Port near the train as well).
This is the first time I have been attacked for post count. And me with only a bit over 2000 posts.... Maybe it's because I finally added a picture? -

Freaks:
Talos 20-30 zone
Terra Volta 24-30 HAZARD zone
Brickstown 30-40 zone
Crey's Folly 30-40 HAZARD zone
Don't recall seeing any Freaks in Indepence Port... Tsoo, Council, Family, Devouring Earth, Giant Octopus...
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, I could be wrong about Freaks in Indy Port. I always get my quota near the train in either Talos (if I want to be quick about it) or Bricks (if I'm looking for XP). No need to travel all the way to CF when the pickings are so easy right off the train in Bricks. -
Wow - you haven't played in a zone where Freakshow are just hanging out in the streets? let me guess - MA all the way, right?
There are Freaks in several zones, beginning with the normal level 20-30 zones - Talos Island & Independence Port. Higher levels in Cray's Folly and Brickstown.
Oh - and next you will need Devouring Earth - also in Talos & Indy Port on the outskirts. Higher levels in Founders Falls & Creys Folly.
Then you will need Rikti....

It's still a good idea... I just wish some folks would differentiate between what is speculated vs. a cold fact. /e shrug
[/ QUOTE ]
If you're referring to speculation about the settlement, it's a simple thing to infer. If they were able to release the offline character creator, they would.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh and BTW, terms of the settlement were kept confidential (as they always are) so all we can do is infer. But the inferences *are* based off general knowledge of how settlements work and the core issues of the suit Marvel brought in the first place.
Suggest away, TeflonDon. Some of the other posters in the thread have just tried to point out what we already know about why it isn't available and seems unlikely to become available in the future. We could be wrong, but that is the current state of the "forum knowledge" on the topic. -

I like the first part - the Terminal that can link bins.
But I want to keep separate bins with separate permissions as well. Are you suggesting that *all* bins have to be attached to a Terminal in order ot be used?
That seems to be what your second part of the suggestion is saying. I don't wnat that to happen. Adding a required attachment does not "simplify", it instead adds "complication" in that instead of having one item to incorporate in my base designs, I would now have to work 2 items in.
And we definitely need to keep some way to set aside some salvage bins with separate permissions, but I could see a system where you attach the "open" bins to one terminal and allow anyone to access those bins, while setting other bins aside with more limited permissions - either as standalones or attached to their own terminal.
So, I guess I can /halfsign.
[/ QUOTE ]
The terminal idea which has been kicked around by a few of us up in the base forums would work like this.
1. It can only be linked to bins in the same room. That way SG's can still use bins for personal storage.
2. It would only draw from what the person has permission to use. So it wouldn't circumvent storage permissions.
We used the attachment idea because we wanted to give SG's the option of not using it at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
I like this better. It preserves the separate permissions we requested and got in I13.
But I wasn't sure how complex it would be (programming-wise) to set it so the Terminal recognizes the various permissions of different bins. If that ends up being too complex, then separating bins into different rooms should work out well. I suppose you would then set up a Terminal for each room? -

OK - here's something that is kinda big, but only fills one end of the room, so I'm posting it here instead of in the Cool Rooms thread:

I'm going to be a bit lazy and just link to the thread I created last week to show off my upgraded Paragon Arcanum.
