I get two to three of them running all the DA arcs on Beta... and I'm ghosting as much as I can as I test the arcs.

Quote:No it's not, because they're *not* IOs. If you call them IOs, you'll think they operate mechanically like IOs, which they don't in some areas. It would be like calling SOs "SIOs".Did you know what he was saying? Maybe he was not American. Maybe he did not know. Why do you feel compelled to point out others mistakes its really inane.
You're the one overreacting to a proper correction of *mechanics terminology*, not grammar. -
I can't wait for the Incarnate Packs that you can only buy after successfully completing all the iTrials in one night.

If CoH wasn't profitable, NCSoft would kill it.
CoH's first same-genre competitor increased revenue 1,000% (that's 10 times) by going F2P. But subs had become very, very, very low. And because the amount of the subs were very, very, very low; then ten times that amount was not that great... and they were still unprofitable! Then that competing studio was bought out by (another!) company and keeps that unprofitable game afloat as a foot-in-the-door loss-leader to have a presence in the US market.
People can brag about their revenue all they want, but until you see their total expenses... then you know practically nothing about the health of a company. -
Quote:Bah! It's like Kepler all over again with his circles within circles. We need a Newton of Ponytails, followed by an Einstein of Ponytails, followed by the Einstein of Ponytails disowning his elasticity constant only to have the Standard Model show he was right and put it back in.
*Then* we can have animated hair that doesn't go into the uncanny valley. -
Buying Packs with Paragon Reward Tokens (the new Vet system) will be coming to Live... soon. With Issue 22.
Catalysts, which currently are only available through the packs, will also be drops in 22.
Converters will be drops in 22 also. Additionally, they'll be available with Merits, and incarnate Merits. Converters do not appear in Packs. -

Quote:Because you now have all that other stuff, too. Just because you can also *earn* them with *time spent* (and thus, aren't 'free') in the game, doesn't mean they don't also have value. Also, you probably have enough Merits now to craft the PvP:+3% Def IO and sell it for 2 Billion INF.appart from the costume pieces, there is nothing in the super packs you can't get elsewhwere.
Want the inspirations?
You can buy them.
Want the ATO's?
You can get them through game play.
Exp boosters?
Buy them.
Reward merits?
Run a whole bunch of stuff.
Costume pieces?
Super pack only, and only a chance to get them.
Took me nearly 25 packs for the whole costume set.
Whats so special about this set that its worth almost three times the cost of a regular set? -
Quote:I wish I could set it so all my duplicate emails go to you.Another @#%$!@#$@#%$@#$%@# email that I have been left off the list of again. 3 years strong now. AWESOME
Anyway, here's the email. -
Quote:Converters will be released with I22. Prices in-game are:all said, not too bad. was hoping for some enhancement converters but those may not be released yet.
Enhancement Converters x10: 1 A-Merit, 25 mill inf
Enhancement Converters x1: 10 R-Merits, 250k inf
Enhancement Converters x2: 3 Astrals, 500k inf
Enhancement Converters x5: 1 Empyrean, 1.25 mill inf -
-
They're 55/70(proc) Astrals +25 million.
Anyone who's been doing the iTrials regularly has more than enough Astrals to outfit themselves. If prices go 250+ million crazy, I'll happily trade in my Astrals to supply the market. -
In-Game Purchase Price of ATOs
- Reward Merits: 400 (500 for the Proc) + 25 mil Inf.
- Astral Merits: 55 (70 for the Proc) + 25 mil Inf.
- Alignment Merits: Supposed to happen, but not available on Beta.
- Empyrean Merits: Not available
-
Quote:Reward Merit purchases of ATOs is already Live. Also, it's important to note that the ATO's purchased using Reward Merits/Hero Merits are coming with Issue 22. The wait should not be very long.
Alignment Merit purchases of ATOs isn't available in Beta... you sure it's going Live? -
With the 24 Pack Pack you'd have to be very unlucky not to get the full costume set.
You'll get about 12 ATOs which you can sell; or trade them to make two full sets you can use.
You'll get about 1,000 Merits or more. There are several ways to translate that into 2 billion Influence.
Plus advanced inspirations and other stuff which Snow Globe will immediately respond to and say they are worthless. Well that's one opinion... many can find good uses for them.
The packs are completely ignorable. If you do buy them, they have good stuff that makes them worthwhile for anyone who isn't preemptively declaring everything worthless to themselves.
Just don't try to get the Black Wolf vanity pet. On average, it will take close to 200 packs to have a good *chance* to get it. Might take you 500 packs since it's so rare. If you get it while going for something else, just consider yourself lucky. OTOH, if you're a millionaire... go for it and thank you for funding the game. -
Quote:Not with things like armor sets or uniforms. And whether you see it as such or not, males ARE losing parity in number of costume options.
But more so with street clothes and historical clothes, then yes. Women get numerically more. Because woman usually wear more. Women layer more. Women have more diverse styles. Men just don't (usually) wear all the extra stuff women wear: shawls, belly shirts, corsets, skirts, etc...
Take skirts,e.g. Men have kilts. Women have dozens of styles of skirts. But they both get battle skirts (e.g., Valkyrie or Roman). What rankles me is that men don't have shorts. But when men do get shorts, there's no need for a dozen styles.
The comedian Elaine Boozler tells this joke in her stage act about how men and women differ and to show how they differ, she claims men won't even get this joke: "I was shopping with my boyfriend and I said I needed a new pair of black pants. And he said you already have a pair of black pants." The women in the audience laughed because they got the joke. If you don't get the joke, then you should back out this debate, because you just don't get how differently women actually use clothing in reality.
Just compare the average woman's closet to a man's closet. Woman have more costuming needs. And that's a fact.
Thus, forcing an equality based on simple numerical equity is just wrong.
And this is me making this argument who was spearheading the gender bias charge for years here. It's not about numbers. -
Purposely not standard.
Hawk's a rebel, man!
(Take a look at Daos' non-standard outfit.) -
Each Pack is 5 Cards
1 Pack is 80 PP
12 Packs is 840 PP (12.5% discount)
24 Packs is 1440 PP (25% discount) -
Being able to purchase Super Packs with Reward Tokens hasn't hit the Live Servers yet, like it is on Beta.
-
On the front Featured Page, the Super Packs appear in quantities of either 1 or 24.
But there is also the ability to buy them in packs of 12 which appears deeper in the menus. -
Quote:It's there now. Funny, when I searched for 'scrapper' and the names of the other ATs on the AH last night on Beta, nothing was coming up. But it is now.If that functionality isn't there yet then that's a bug AFAIK. I know that was occurring during beta but my understanding was that it was corrected at some point.
