It's a little choppy, but the message is loud and clear.

That's what 40 mins before bed will buy ya. -
Just as a wrap up for the other thread, thanks for all the replies (10901/391 in a week, pretty cool) and couple of new ideas shared, like:
[ QUOTE ]
How about the game checks your hero and if you are lvl 50, it substitutes the image of YOUR hero for a statue in Atlas Park, say? Or they could add a place in Peregrine Island, or use the statue behind Maria Jenkins.
I would think that the game engine could interpret the image of your costume as it appears in the Costume Creator and substitute the stone-like colors and textures for the colors of your hero and add the image in an appropriate size.
The image of the statue could be client-side, like the objects in Propel--- it would only show up for YOU. After all, YOU are about the only one that will be thrilled, and EVERYBODY would get "their own" statue!
Let's face it, trying to pick out player characters to honor would raise all sorts of problems. But if you saw YOUR OWN hero once they reached 50... EVERYONE would like THAT!
[/ QUOTE ] - Melancton
I'll send on the suggestions and ideas to Posi, and like other ideas offered in here over the years, like Flashback, you could be reading details of an upcoming issue sometime and say "hey, they used my idea".
And whatever takes place on TT's 5yr Anni, everyone who supported it can be sure it's going to be a huge event. -

Let's assume the plaque in one zone on all servers as a non starter, with a fair share of people.
Since this thread has had some attention, what if it's politely nudged to IanTheM1's quote above, or the post Arcana replied to.
An MA style Hall of Fame per server, and or client side in-game recognition.
IanTheM1's right that is a good idea, I missed that in the summery of alternate suggestions.
[/ QUOTE ]
I saw that after I posted, and while I'm not generally against this, I wouldn't want to be the one to decide on the criteria. There are virtually tons of players who'd probably deserve recognition, both game-wide and server-wide. How do you pick them? Cause you know for everyone who gets in there, there'll be dozens of envious players wondering why they didn't get in there.
Granted, noone would question the merits of, say, Arcanaville, Ascendant or TheMightyStorm assuming they know who these guys are. These are people we can look at and say, 'yeah, they've done a lot for the game or at least their subcommunity of the playerbase'. But where would you draw the line?
[/ QUOTE ]
Since there have been some ideas on the last couple of pages that offer a [u]plural server[u], or [u]client side suggestion[u] (pointed out by IanTheM1) for offering players a way to feel like their characters (and special events, groups, achievements) are a tangible part of the in game world.
Maybe we can reiterate them, since it can't be denied there's some interest in the general topic (but only if it's cross server).
(pointed out by IanTheM1)

Wouldn't it be amazing to have THIS in OUR game?
[/ QUOTE ]
It got me thinking, what if using the MA system there were Hall of Fames for every server, and maybe one miscellaneous Hall that would include worthy forumites for various hard to achieve categories, like Bill and his guides, and Zombie Man, Arcana and so on.
It could include worthy events, groups, PvP accomplishments, and the instance could be a large hall, or look something like this filled with plaques and statues.
We already have a system for voting on players within categories, you could use the same MA type ratings standards, and depending on the accomplishment and it's difficulty, the awarded recipient gets to customize his statue in the costume creator, or use a unique plaque.
I don't think it could be said players of that caliber aren't interested in that type of reward, or the forums wouldn't be filled with badge accomplishment advertisements in sigs and avatars. =]
Any new player could enter on whichever server and learn about some of the amazing milestones achieved by characters before them, like a virtual history tour for their server.
Maybe give an added incentive for them to stay around, to add themselves to the servers lore in time.
Plenty of players stay around just to accumulate Badges, so a Hall of Fame for every server would add to a sort of end game, for a variety of categories.
No one server alone gets recognition in some way, while players could look forward to someday making it in. And the rating, instance, and custom statue/plaque design interface already exists.

Everyone's so caught up in MA that this idea hasn't gotten a lot of feedback, but as someone who from e/o beta 04 till now has rarely strayed from Champion, I'd have fun spending a little time spreading the TT cheer around. =B
-
Ah work and MA has kept me away, this thing has grown.
Well, I'm not interested in arguing, I get enough of that at work.
I will sort through the newer posts since the last update and see if there are any new ideas offered or suggestions, and I'll compile all of them and throw them at Pos.
Meantime, go play the MA and have fun, or give your wife a kiss, life's to short to argue. -
QR-in extreme hurry.
Hey I like this idea, what if we all (everyone who wants to participate) started new toons on whatever server in succession on the Tuesday before the regular TT date and time. And we all make toons that look exactly like The Ring, I have the code for a take on his signature outfit. That would make a fun splash, 7 to 13 lvl1 tanks running around AP advertising TT, we could all spend like 10mins and get to lvl 3, and do the same thing the next time.
Here's the code, it should work in your Costume folder.
Just omit the:

area, that's the cape, which you wont have at lvl1.

Vox_Populi
Heck yeah!
The event takes place on Champion but it's not just a Champion event. Many players
created a character there just for Tanker Tuesdays.
Most people who are unaware of Tanker Tuesdays would also be unaware of the plaque,
so it wouldn't even effect them.
Suggestions are made in the suggestions forum, and the devs (if they see it)
decide if they like it or not.

I have seen Tanker Tuesday held on other servers.
I play on Champion but have also been to TTs on Infinity and Virtue.
/signed 100%
Oh it has happened on Virtue I have been to one there before.
I swear I have been to a Tanker Tuesday on more than just Champion. It is not just a 1 server event.
Kiloton
Single server map change challenges aside, I think that's a way cool idea.
Ashcraft
This would be great
and well deserved.
Hrist
a small plaque does very little to alter the landscape.
Basically- it wouldn't harm anything to have a tiny detail like this added.
The existance of the event hasn't prevented anyone from creating their own alternatives (indeed, it has acually inspired similar events for other ATs.)
I do think that a five year history is something to be very proud of for any event on any of the servers, and deserves some recognition.
NuclearMedicine
I'm all for a Tanker Tuesday 5yr Plaque. The event has certainly earned the right.
FlamingIntern

Not much else to say.
Meowtch
Wouldn't it be terrific to prompt people to want to be a part of this fantastic long-running player event? Does it matter that it was born out of Champion?
its_Si

BlueFurious
The next generation of tankers may never see a gold title, but they can see the plaque
and know that they're part of something bigger.
The odds of someone totally disassociated with the event nominating something like
this is... well, not good.
Pep_Rally
Most definitely /signed.
Tanker Tuesday has announced itself in the Tanker, and Champion forums
every month without fail
Another party would be great as well, but it doesn't hurt to ask for something else.

I don't like playing tankers. But this is a long running event that outshines all the others.

I think it should be praised that a thing like this could keep going strong all this time with
the players dedication, I mean 60 months in a row that's hella long time.
/Way in favor

And I say let whoever fill up the thread with their same arguments over and over, it's not going to change
the players accomplishment from all the servers that participated in making a remarkable milestone.
I say celebrate, don't hate.
Mighty
Don't slight the event for being single-server due to the game's infrastructure when
players are finding ways around keeping it a single server event by either visiting
Champion or holding their own on other servers.
it's taken 5 continuous years of an award winning event for someone to pipe up and ask for it.
How many things really fit into that category?
So... /signed.
Darc_Reign
I like this idea.
5 years in an MMO life cycle is longer than 5 years in RL.
_mr3_
The idea promotes player events. players coming together in a strong enough way alter the world we play in.
It's almost like incentive for us to get involved more
BC_Space
Great idea.
/signed.... five times..
StarkFist
/signed
It isn't often that players create something truly plaque-worthy,
but a five-year player-created event should qualify.
Cyclone_Jack
I like it.
To keep it going for 5 years is indeed an impressive feat.
A plaque would, IMO, be a great way for the Devs to commemorate the
1st player run event to hit 5 years (and running).
Even more impressive is that TT has happened with zero assistance from NCSoft
Both PvPEC and PvEEC were created through the assistance of the community reps.
Same can be said with the City Scoop
I've never been to a TT, but the fact that it's happened every month since Oct'04 is
very impressive in any MMO's terms.
NetMinder
I'm darn proud to be a part of it each month. Very very few things keep me away
(like my sons 1st grade music concert tomorrow night) each month.
prvtslacker
/sign 100%.
Would like to see it happen.
Celestial_Lad
The fact that it's been primarily on Champion should really have no bearing on the final decision
This would be an honouration to the community as a whole.
Another reason I support this is because it is inspiring.
Juzam_Djinn
This is an event which players from ALL servers have attended regularly for years now.
I dont think anyone can point to a player event (in the history of COX) which has had more longevity
and success then Tanker Tuesday.
Upsen_Downs
I'd vote for this to be put in. Are there any other events that are as long running as Tanker Tuesday?
p.s. Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls.
Lei_Long
This sounds like a great idea.
Lascota
This, however commemorates something that the community did that helped support the game as a whole.
I like the idea, and I really hope a Dev sees this and considers it.
this is players encouraging more gaming by direct tutelage
ResplendentMs
I like it. /signed
Drunken_Avenger
/sighned now who do i need to give rum too to get this done?
XxBudweiser8xX
I think this is a great idea.... Tanker Tuesdays has been one of the longest running, most fun events
held on a continuing basis Since I started this game.
tuter_king
/signed good idea
BigMoneyHustla
I support this idea, on the basis that it is a player created event that has been running on a regular basis
for (almost) 5 years, where people from many servers come to join in.
TheRing
If it were up to me, which is obviously not the case, not only would I place a marker there,
but I'd have 400+ tankers put it up!
/signed
That goes for all of you, agreers and disagreers alike! Live and love a little hot TT action, and then debate the plaque. It's the right thing to do.
Carry on with the debate, but keep in mind that the persons supporting this aren't doing so to hang their accomplishments over the heads of others, but simply and and humbly involve the entire game in celebrating an event that for many, embodies the very reasons we play these games in the first place.
DreadShinobi
I do not see any reason why a plaque or something similar should not be put up in KR.
Demon_Keeper
I've seen information about Tanker Tuesday often enough to at least see "TT" and realize someone
is talking about it
AngieB
I'm for it! I was there for teh 3 yr and OMG.. i got a pic with BAB.. he's such a stud!

Cyber_naut
I think a plaque would be cool. It makes the game more 'alive' imo.
Dinah_Might
Even if it is a event centralized on Champion server, I still feel it is necessary to acknowledge said event. I mean, "Kill Skuls" didn't happen on my server, yet it got wall graffitti.
this event was voted best player run event in 2006's (and last time it was held) Player's Choice Awards by ALL servers, not just Champion.
PantherShade
Tanker Tuesday predates PERC, PvPEC. It is a lasting event demonstrating player commitment to community.
Tanker Tuesday has been a featured event on the updater and CoH MotD
Placing a simple plaque offers the chance to promote more involvement in the event and in the community
Tanker Tuesday is a monthly event, not an SG. It draws people from all SGs together.
How exactly is anyone harmed by this suggestion in any way?
Tanker Tuesday has been on both. It has also been featured in the City Scoop and voted Best Player Run Event, a Dev run contest spanning all servers.
Zubenelgenubi
I think this is an awesome idea.
It may help inspire other long-running player sponsored events on other servers.

Stabby_McStabers
I personally am in huge favor for this idea.
I am also in favor of some sort of metric or standard to be in place that sets a guideline for ideas like this.
Peterbilt
I must show my absolute support for a plaque.
Honor those who honor the city, and Tankers have been doing just that for almost 5 years.
Heraclea
I am foursqure in favor of this as well. As a habitual player of tankers I would be, of course.
As other user events grow and prosper, they may eventually meet whatever criterion you might set. This one has had several milestones already.
Myrmydon
As far as the plaque idea is concerned, I am all for it if the Devs want to place one for Tanker Tuesday and will not lose a wink of sleep if they don't.
I attend them neither for recognition nor for reward, so either way.
iltat
I support this idea.
In my opinion, this is a case that deserves such recognition.
Aura_Familia
I'm all for plaques . . . for every event and every group that makes it to 5 years, RO included.

Honestly, I think Tanker Tuesday and Repeat Offenders both deserve a plaque, as well as any organization or network that started in year one, and kept a constant presense the entire time.
60 months of dedication, not only to a game, but to a specific segment of the game is worth something.
Major_Deej
My first exciting experience in this game that cemented my stay for the last 27+months was this - TANKER TUESDAY.
As a new player, I was in awe at the incredible amount of camaraderie, friendship, helpfulness and selflessness the TT players that I was teamed with provided. I was hooked on City of Heroes.
Those fighting this request, from what I have read in their posts, have yet to sway me that a consistently, well-done event such as this should not earn a simple in-game marker to denote a milestone and a community achievement.
deadboy_champion
Tanker Tuesday was started by the Ring, who wanted to promote Tankery fun and expand the player knowledge base on Tanks in general.
I dont think he ever knew how big it would become or how well it would be received.

If it were possible to have the plaque on a single server, I'd say yes.
But since that isn't possible I don't think it's a good idea.
Memphis_Bill
I'm not against it, an event running that long continuously is something to be recognized.
If it were historically a multiple-server event, there'd be no question at all.
I wouldn't argue if it *happened* I just think it'd be very odd.
it's not honoring an AT, it's honoring an event that's been running for five years.
I'm reading "I made a character on Champion to run there." To me that is not "cross server."
"if you played the game the month before the 3rd anniversary, Oct. 2007, you would know what Tanker Tuesday is about."
See my reg date? Your assumption is incorrect.
I can say with reasonable certainty Repeat Offenders affected more people (including tanks - they have a dedicated group
for them, as well) than a single Tanker-themed event that happens once a month.
I have never heard of Tanker Tuesday the entire time I levelled my forum-namesake in Pinnacle.
Zhao_Yun
It's kinda a bad precedent.
Recognition? Yes, earned, deserved, completely. In -this- manner? I do not think so.
Fleeting_Whisper
I've heard of Tanker Tuesdays... once, ever.
LISAR
I'm just learning of it...but why would a single server event get a map change on all servers?
It simply doesn't make sense to me why people on Justice or Virtue would erect some sort of recognition
Talen_Lee
I think an anniversary event is a more valuable recognition than a permanent chunk of the architecture.
Samuel_Tow
I'm not sure it's a safe bet people will know about this.
It's not like it hasn't happened before, but a plaque in the game doesn't strike me as the best way.
I'm not really for or against this, I'm just not sure a plaque in public space is the best way to accomplish this.
IanTheM1
this thread sounds extremely self-serving, even if the milestone is deserved.
MikoReimu
It takes time and money for this sort of thing, I start to think it's not worth the effort.

but then every SG that has been around for at least the same amount of time deserves a plaque.
Quincy_Archer
What about any of the major pvp sgs (wait, they are all gone now.... ) Where do we draw the line?
Catwhoorg
I dont think it is any more plaque worthy than the many 5 year old Super Groups still running round.
Umbral
It's truly awesome that Tanker Tuesday has been going on as a month event for 55 months
but I don't really support placing any reference to it in game.
NeverDark
Should TT be recognized? Absolutely. But not this way.
DMystic
I agree that as an event that's been run for this long, with this consistency some recognition is warranted, however I don't think an in game plaque is the way to do it.
Alternate Marker Ideas:
WittyLibrarian
A better solution would be to set up plaques for each of the primary ATs in various zones
LISAR
I got another thing I think the event should have. A badge. Log into Champion for the 60th T.T.
and get a badge
Samuel_Tow
An article in the City Scoop, special forum titles for the organisers, a spot in the game news or some such would be a lot more appropriate
BouncingBeatnik
What if the devs were to allocate a certain portion of the billboards to recognize and congratulate Tanker Tuesday?
Leave them up for a designated period of time- maybe 30 days or so-
to give everyone who has that option turned on a chance to see.
Celestial_Lad
I kinda like the idea of NPC dialogue.
"Is it getting close to start of a new month? Because Tankers from all around gather here on the first Tuesday beginning way back in October 2004."
Memphis_Bill
Entire package of the following:
- The aforementioned "party." Devs, announcements, titles, temp powers, the works to celebrate. Celebrate in game.
- Announcement on the updater for the above.
- City Scoop feature, linked FROM the updater (bringing more people in - maybe on the 10th anniversary, it really WILL be a regular event on every server then!)
- Adding to the website, under "Community" as a featured "spotlight," permanently, Tanker Tuesdays as an example of a community run event.
- NPC dialog, mixed in with the rest of the random sayings.
- For the month of October, they're what the Newsies are talking about. They're in the rotation. Possibly for September, as well. Preempted only if there's something like a new issue due at that time, and they get rotated in with them.
Dollymistress
I think it would be nice for there to be recognition, but I think it would need to be more subtle than a plaque.
Perhaps an impressive tree, or a big bad rock. Or a lil statue of a tanker hero.
. -
To the 13 who are opposed so far, as a science experiment, would you be in favor of some location recognition, if it involved one of the other ideas posted, like NPC chat in that specific area, or billboard (temporary) use, for example.
Or that a plaque in that location might save puppies with cancer?
Putting aside that it's been about the Tank AT, or where it originated.
Would the fact that it's been held in a specific spot, for the record lenth of time (Oct 6th) already discussed, without support from PERK (which it pre-dated), and being a non sg motivated event (which is to say, on a given event night 15 different sg's not bound by coalition or team speak or forums or pvp, or anything else but the event they're attending).
Would any of that effect your opinion?
Again, as has been mentioned by many of you, it's up to the devs so it's not like we're finalizing anything by discussing it (the milestone wont be reached until Oct anyway), and the input is respected and will be put in the list to reflect what players feel. Thank you.
Just to add one p/o, I think an event that can be identified to a very specific location and time, that's met some hard to achieve standers, should be open for whatever minute in game reflection
players agree on, with the dev's deciding if it's worthy at all.
And tonight is another running of the event, if you've never played a tank or showed to one of these, check it out, everyone's welcome regardless of lvl range, or any other factors.
Here is a summary of replies and suggestions so far, this way the Devs and anyone new to the thread can quickly glance a summation.

Heck yeah!
The event takes place on Champion but it's not just a Champion event. Many players
created a character there just for Tanker Tuesdays.
Most people who are unaware of Tanker Tuesdays would also be unaware of the plaque,
so it wouldn't even effect them.
Suggestions are made in the suggestions forum, and the devs (if they see it)
decide if they like it or not.

a small plaque does very little to alter the landscape.

Don't slight the event for being single-server due to the game's infrastructure when
players are finding ways around keeping it a single server event by either visiting

The difference being, obviously, that the event encompasses many SGs, players, characters, and, indeed, servers. IIRC; and I may be slipping because I'll be hitting the 5-year mark on April 28th and have played on Infinity, Virtue and Champion extensively which sometimes leaves me with a muddled sense of where I played what; Tanker Tuesdays have been held on Liberty and Virtue, at least, and recieves cross-server participation on Champion making it a cross-server event.
Don't slight the event for being single-server due to the game's infrastructure when players are finding ways around keeping it a single server event by either visiting Champion or holding their own on other servers.
And as for the 'slippery slope' argument... it's taken 5 continuous years of an award winning event for someone to pipe up and ask for it. How many things really fit into that category?

TT has been held once every month in the same location for half a decade, as a cross server, cross sg event.
If there were other regular monthly player events, still being held, and still popular, that were within even two years of replicating TT's sixty consecutive month milestone (Oct 6) we wouldn't have brought it up, because of the hassle sorting through multiple sixty month galas to mine which should get what, if anything.
But there just are no other events that have run that long, that consistently, with cross server support, regardless of sg affiliations, or with any of the player vaildation listed in OP, and are still popular.
A summation of all the reasonable replies will be added. -
So far some reasonable points made, and comments appreciated.
We'll be making a summation post every now and then of everyones take on the idea up to that point, and we'll add the heart of your comments in the thread to the list.
We did that when we were trying to get the war mace improved in the tanker area, and it seemed to make it easier for anyone to see where everyone was coming from, either for or against.
This will last at least for a few months, and along the way we'll talk to the devs about it.
Input appreciated. -

And, really, a small plaque does very little to alter the landscape. It isn't something that would be required for the history badges, nor would it be the only one not required for a badge. I'd bet that a lot of people don't even notice most of the city plaques, they are small and this isn't a heavy traffic area. Basically- it wouldn't harm anything to have a tiny detail like this added.
[/ QUOTE ]
It would be a small reminder of the events achievemnet, with nothing attached to it, in an obscure location, which is only filled with activity the first Tuesday of every month during Tanker Tuesday.
TT has run successfully for half a decade, and continues to be as popular as year number one.
It wouldn't be a slight at all to any server, as players have happily gathered to one location every month since 2004, just so they can meet up with likeminded enthusiasts at a really unique event.
TT is the only event that has run for sixty consecutive months and continues unabated, if you'd like to say there should be a standard met before a player[s] created event could be considered for a small token like this, Tanker Tuesday is the standard, at half a decade for sixty consecutive months (Oct 6) and counting.
Upsen_Downs "Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls.", comments way back when led to an actual in game reward, a badge, the TT plaque wouldn't be in the same hemisphere as that, it would just be a small clicky reminder of the ongoing achievement.
Events have been started over the years for many different AT's, Blasters, Controllers, Defenders. Tank enthusiasts have kept this event thriving for so many years, much like Harley Davidson rallies where inexplicably bankers and doctors mingle in with an eclectic group who share each others interests.
I think the above quote is pretty reasonable in summing it up. =T
Also, if all these years you've missed TT, you're invited to come try it out this coming Tuesday the 7th, where regular longtime organizers Kiloton, NetMinder, Dinah Might, Myrmydon , and others will be ready for some tanking fun. =) -
Tanker Tuesday has a rich history as an elite player created event.
Including holding a title of the longest continuously run monthly event in CoH history, it also was awarded with the City of Heroes 2nd Annual Players Choice Award for Favorite Event, and a three year anniversary celebration in Oct 2007 that drew over 400 Tanks plus Developer personalities.
This coming October 6th, after sixty consecutive months, Tanker Tuesday will be passing another unprecedented milestone in City of Heroes, [u]it's five year anniversary![u]
In recognition of this unlikely feat, we're humbly requesting that a very simple plaque be placed at the location in Kings Row were so many Tanks have met, every single month, for five full seasons.
This wouldn't be unprecedented, as for example a badge "Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls." attributed to a long running forum thread, and Upsen_Downs, has made it's way into the game, among a couple others that could be cited.
This wouldn't be a proposition treated lightly obviously, or every sporadic costume contest would have requested something.
But Tanker Tuesday is no ordinary event in City if Heroes.
No other regular player run event has come remotely close to matching it's consistent popularity, nor even running consecutively for two or more years, let alone five full uninterrupted seasons.
And the event remains as popular as always, with the up and coming five year anniversary sure to be another big gathering.
What a commemorative plaque might look like:
View one
View two
View three
What a plaque might say:
"This plaque is to honor Paragon's mightiest Champions. Once every month since the Rikti War, Tankers from all over Paragon have assembled at this location to protect the people and to keep a watchful eye over the city they all love. To commemorate five years of Tanker Tuesday, this plaque hangs as our eternal reminder of their valiant efforts. "
Though it's a pretty obscure location, it's possible more players would be in favor of the idea if the plaque were located, say on the other side of the wall, or near the bottom of one of those large crates?
Somewhere so remotely obscure as to almost totally rule out the average (seldom in that location) passerby coming in contact with it.
Also, here's a list of other non-reward plaques in the game ><.
This would be less a server specific idea, as it's a celebration of a player run event, that's almost outrageously been going successfully for sixty consecutive months (Oct 6th).
And it's a reminder of what player created events can achieve, over a very long haul, regardless of server or purpose.
The five year anniversary isn't until October 6th, but we'd like to give you a chance to show your support, and politely ask the dev's to give this unique event a very tiny token, to celebrate both past, and all future Tankers that will gather there.
Here are some reminders of the Tanker Tuesday three year anniversary event, and a glimpse of what the five year celebration is sure to be like:
Slideshow. TT3 Flier. City Scoop Article. Youtube Video., the red names who showed included, Back Alley Brawler, Castle, Ghost Widow, Lighthouse, and Ex Libris.
Tanker Tuesday is a night of "Total Tanker Teamage" where regular longtime organizers Kiloton, NetMinder, Dinah Might, Myrmydon , and others will be ready to help anyone interested have some tanking fun.
It starts at 9:00pm EDT the first Tuesday of every month, and is located on Champion Server at the King's Row side of the King's Row - Independence Port gate.
Thanks for your support, and hope to see you at the next Tanker Tuesday! -

This should be in the directory for sure, very helpful for server specific missions.
I got around to fitting the first mission of a story arc into the parameters of the M/A ( no closed beta invite, so micro time working on it =D ), and publishing today.
Here's the synopses:
Title: "All Your Yesterdays."
Description "Fifty four years into the future, a startling revelation, Heroes and Villains acting alike, and worse still the original Freedom Phalanx have mysteriously disappeared."
Contact Name: Foreshadow
Contact Intro: "Our lead research science team lead by Tina Macintyre has been monitoring developments in the distant future with growing concern. During their experiments with intra-dimensional travel they stumbled upon a time rift which led them to this Earth 54 years from now. What we discovered was shocking, there was little difference between heroes and villains, and whats worse, the current members of the freedom phalanx have mysteriously disappeared.
We have no idea how this came to be, but we do know that in response the Government will develop a secret serum program to try to turn the tide against the super powered chaos. In doing so, they set into motion unforeseen consequences that lead to the end of all civilization.
We need to stop this program, learn what happened to the phalanx members, and arrest both the villain and hero leaders, and put an end to their lawlessness."
Contact Send Off: "Your first mission will be to go to the exact point in time we've designated and protect the President of the United States Chelsea Clinton, her abduction on that date leads to the accelerated release of the SSP.
You'll have 2 objectives:
First, save the President and prevent the chain of events which leads to the release of the SSP and the end of all life on earth.
Secondly, you must retrieve the BacPAQ, it's the Presidents hand held pc, it will be in her briefcase somewhere in the area. It should give us a lead on the location of the SS program, and hopefully more.
And finally, Defeat Berylium and Arsenic, they and they're crew are behind the abduction plot.
This is not for the faint of heart, but I have confidence that you will succeed. Once you're done, get back to the portal and return to this time line"
Contact Return: I'm glad to see you made it back.
We had no idea it would be so overrun. I'm just glad you came through all right. Despite the worst the villains could throw at you, you overcame great adversity to get back here.
All of your effort was not in vain. The information we've gotten from the BacPAQ has told us three very important things. An initial pass has revealed not only the secret location of the SS lab, but also the existence of a data network interface code named KnowledgeStorm, it's used by the Government to house all information regarding "supers".
And finally we have discovered that a weapon was engineered to defeat the hero named Havok.
Mission #2 will be:
Part2: Strike the Secret Serum Lab
Destroy secret serum lab, - take the Nexus Mendelevium (to defeat Havok) - Access KnowledgeStorm find out what happened to the Original Freedom Phalanx members
Mission #3 will be:
Part 3: Stop Havok!
It's a lot of fun creating, hope you try it out, and looking forward to trying all of yours. =) -
