I am amazed at the amount of people that complain about FREE stuff. I am unsure what would satisfy some of the people whining here, do you want them to bring you a code to your door step? Quick marketing scam? Did you folks not read, "FACEBOOK PROMOTION"? Just too much to handle.
Regardless, I've applied my code. Love it, I'm so happy this was implemented regardless of how it was. AND, to be particular, I LIKE that it was implemented this way. Something special for a handful of special people that keep up to date with City of Heroes.
Support your game, don't just play it.

We ran a low lvl PVP in the arena pre13 with lvl10's (I think) all new Characters, with a Skulls or Hellion theme... it was very fun and worked well, while being really balanced. -
Hi, Annihilius here. I am organizing a level 20 PVP event soon and was wondering how many people would be interested. This will change the name of the game to primarily how you specialize your toon with enhancements, due to the low percents you acquire from bonuses at this level.
I'm a long time pre-13 pvp'er and I've always thought this would be a good idea.

I think this would be a fair assumption for the going rates if they were able to be sold. -

One interesting thing is that this has actually happened quite fast - the current badge dev, Black Scorpion, was unaware that this badge was an issue with some players until it was brough up on the live video chat on March 31st.

Overall I can see how some people could be upset with this being a badge hunter myself (with Bug Hunter @ 1,150 badges), but you have to remember nothing is perfect. I am only a 60 month veteran and because of that will always be short a handful of badges.. I am willing to purchase a life-time subscription and do what I have to do to get them, but it's just not that simple.
With that said, I would be surprised if they didn't either remove the badge from those players or find a way to allow other players to get it, as they did recently with the 5th Column Gladiator badge after it was suggested via U-Stream. It's just a matter of time.

Sadly I think this is pretty much going to be the case for any unique Vet Award from now on. If a new player today is unlikely to see the 84th month Vet Award how likely are they going to see the 90th, 102nd or any others after that?
I almost think the current Vet Award system has outlived the idea of just being open-ended forever. I don't know what alternative there is for this at this point, I just the think something different should be done to avoid this ever worsening situation.

This is hilarious. As of less than a month ago I got the Master of Lambda badge.
Only, in order for me to get it, my team had to do it three times, as the badge wasn't awarding properly (LIKE IT IS NOW)
1. PURPOSELY fail the Molecular Acid part for Well Stocked badge, using neither the Acids or Grenades.
2. PURPOSELY fail the Grenades part for the Antacid badge, using neither Grenades nor Acid.
3. COLLECT 10 of each, USE NONE for the other lame badge..
So, if you think you did anything special or particularly hard there, trying doing it three times over.
Either way, grats. -

And your point is what? It seemed like you were making observations about the game population IN GENERAL. If you're going to go on about PVP IO's now, then forget the whole thing. The overwhelming majority of players care NOTHING about PVP IO's. If this is a concern to you, clearly you're not a typical player and I wonder if you have any idea what the "average player" thinks about the game in general and the market in particular.
The market is fine. It's based on supply and demand and is inherently self-correcting. We can discuss whether the PVP IO drop rate is reasonable, but the MARKET is just fine.
