Actually it was in the costume list (likely due to someone accidentally putting it in the list too soon).

We are being told that the pre-tinting and patterns can't be fixed due to them not setting aside time for revisions due to feedback. That is a quality issue. If the items remain in their current state, the perceived quality of the pieces drops due to the fact that we can't use these parts in more ways with existing pieces.

They might be the most spectacular pieces in the gaming industry, but if they can't be combined with existing pieces their worth plummets in a game based on the foundation of this game's character creator. This game's strongest asset is the #1 costume creator in the MMORPG field. Pretinting the costume pieces, and allowing them to continue to be pretinted (or have clipping issues that another poster pointed out) detracts from the quality of the product.

Are the parts good? For the most part, yes. Are they the quality I expect in a paid costume part? No. I seriously expected better.

Robes already have a cloth belt similar to that. To be clear: I'm not saying that costume wouldn't be nice. I AM saying that it wouldn't be welcomed in a "Knight" pack. If it were in a "Medieval Fashion" pack, then great!

"Knight", like "Gunslinger", comes with some pre-built expectations that had better be IN the pack.

I know. I'm trying not to be my normal dramatic self to get the point across to the development team that I'm tired of the promises that "things will be better." only to have the next pack contain even more of the mistakes that we we're told will be fixed in future packs.

The problem is that these complaints have been around a long time (pre-tinting issues have been around since Issue 7 with the introduction of the VEATs, In Issue 10 with the vanguard costume set, etc.), and instead of things getting better, the exact same issues keep returning to a greater degree.

I see why people are upset. The players are being told that their feedback is getting listened to, and then the next set has even more of the same problems.

The developers seem to feel the need to put out quantity over quality. It might be time to take a step back and re-evaluate some priorities.

I was trying to illustrate the point that you can have "sexy" while still keeping to a theme.

Had the Gunslinger Set included female gunslinger options and they released the strumpet (edit: I love when I can get a chance to use that word. ) set separately, I'm sure both would have sold.

Just because we don't make an immediate change to something doesn't mean we aren't listening (P.S. We are ), it just means that we didn't immediately act on it, for whatever reason.

Sometimes things take awhile to change one way or the other. Sometimes they don't change at all. Sometimes they change immediately. It's a part of the creative process when working on live product. We are listening and taking your thoughts into account. Sometimes we just have different viewpoint, and sometimes those viewpoints change .
Zwillinger, please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm going to have to give you and Paragon Studios some rather unpleasant feedback. It isn't directly about the game, or even this costume set. It is more about how Paragon Studios does business.

I like the game. I really do. However Paragon Studios seems to have some fairly unrealistic goals currently and we're seeing the results of trying to adhere to those goals. For the rest of this post, the "you" I'm referring to is Paragon Studios, not "you, Zwillinger".
    ---------------------------------------
An open letter to Paragon Studios:

You have set a goal to produce enough for the market to have something "new" on it every week. However you don't seem to have allowed yourself any time to correct anything but the unmitigated disasters based on feedback.

Your customers aren't all idiots, some of them can smell a sub-standard "feature" a mile away. Some of your customers are patient and don't expect miracles (despite what you might think). However they do expect to be treated in a fair manner (problems: VIP Perks awarding in an obfuscated fashion, EU players not being able to buy year subscriptions, Central/South American customers having to deal with a less than savory company that doesn't carry a full range of products, etc).

There seems to be a "We know best." attitude pervasive at your company. Even when feedback is fairly uniform across a broad-spectrum of players, you go ahead despite the feedback and tell the players "just test it" when testing if something is "working as intended" isn't the point. When your players tell you that the intention itself is wrong, that is the point where you need to step back and open a discussion as to "why" it is wrong. It isn't a cue to push ahead and fix things 6-8 months down the road "when you have the time".

You need to allocate less time to throwing everything including the kitchen sink at us. You need to allocate some time or people to bug fixes and adjustments, something that clearly doesn't have enough time allocated to do well. If you feel the need to disregard feedback, explain why. You have had over 7 years with this live product and the times you got into the most trouble were when you didn't explain yourselves despite protests.

Again, I like the game. I've remained a steady subscriber since 2005. I've a lot of time (and money) invested in this game. I intend to continue to subscribe for the foreseeable future. Are you willing to invest your time in a manner that will make me want to continue to subscribe or will you continue to drive customers away?

    Sincerely,
    Snow Globe.

Realistically, don't expect it any time soon. Schedules are planned out months in advance and right now we're working on both Issues 22 and 23 and art schedules are quite possibly the most rigorous and time consuming of the lot, especially the character artists. Time to revisit previous costume pieces is not currently included and to do so would compromise new costume sets, villain groups, etc, etc...it has an extreme domino effect.
Given that the pretinting is texture based and revisiting would essentially mean the objects are just re-skinned without the tinted texture, the art time should decrease dramatically.

For making new models, I agree that would be time consuming.

In either case, can time be set aside for beyond issue 23 to at the very least address the pretinting issue that plagues the "premiere" costume sets (in no order):
    • Magic
    • Halloween
    • Steampunk
    • Celestial
    • Halloween
    • Ascension
    • Gunslinger
    • Arachnos Helms
    • VEAT Costumes (all parts have pre-tinted issues)
    • Edit: Wedding Pack
    • Edit: Barbarian Set
And I fully agree that time should be set aside for actually working on player feedback. If features are being worked on 2-3 issues in advance, then there is no real safety net when things blow up in your collective faces.

Any chance at all of getting some of the pretinted pieces revisited?

We have many years of evidence to know EU members are the red-headed stepchild when it comes to NCSoft.
What part of the word "bureaucracy" is unclear?

The developers, community relations, customer support, and even the producers can't fully control this. To look at who sets the pricing, look to NCsoft EU. They are apparently looking for a Senior Marketing Manager.

This issue is highlighted by the leadership being passed to whoever enters first and a cutscene that hits your right as you enter into BAF and Keyes meaning there is no chance to consolidate teams.
Both these have been going on since Issue 20.5 introduced closed leagues.

You forgot the /league_invite while inside a trial has never worked, despite at least two attempts to fix it.

The one time I used this successfully, I had to tell the league I was starting a vote-kick and at least 4 other players agreed.

    I've known about all three.

The inf is a pittance to a level 50 (the only characters that can get it are either in the tutorial or level 50, nothing in between), so is likely known but considered a "we'll get to it eventually -- Ooh shiny! -- What problem?" issue.

The third already has a lot of people screaming (justly), the Customer Support and Community Relations teams know about it. I'm sure this is being worked on.

This is absolutely Working as Intended. I can't remember which patch at the moment, but the reason for this is so that players IN the tutorial can't break the tutorial script and be stuck without a contact outside the tutorial zone.

    So, not a bug.

Yeah, you actually aren't far off. Scrappers & Brutes can out-damage and survive longer, even though tanks have the potential of having (barely) higher defenses than brutes. With the upcoming Stalker changes, they'll join the Scraps and Brutes.

    Edit:
Even though it is on the "known issues", the Fog of War bug is rampant.
