Quote:It was my understanding this had already been corrected. It appears my understanding was incorrect. I'm having this checked into immediately. So when are you guys fixing the Server Transfers to allow EU and US people to move their characters about properly?
Apologies for any confusion this may have caused and thanks for the heads up. -
There will no longer be an EU test server.
There will no longer be an NA test server.
There will now only be test server.

Thanks for all of the compliments and kind words.
We've made a compilation of the feedback you have all provided and are in the process of reviewing it with the art production team. While any changes or updates we make won't be present at launch, we will implement them as soon as it's possible to do so, much like we did with the Animal Pack.

I'll be hosting per usual Tony.
Also, not to worry if you can't watch. We're recording it as always! -
Added the following:
Known Issues
The muzzle flash does not line up properly on the Remarkable Reliable Rifle. -
Due to reports of multiple Mapserver crashes we are going to be restarting several Mapservers beginning at 12:05 PM PDT/3:05 PM EDT/8:05 PM BST. If you are currently on an affected Map (mission or otherwise) you may be disconnected from the game or removed from your current map.
We anticipate that these restarts should take no more than 15-20 minutes.
Thanks for your understanding. -
Somewhere between all of the anniversary events, global server access and various other as-sundries, communication about these test notes did not occur. I've reached out to our publishing team and we should have some notes for you all today.
My apologies for the delay and thanks for the patience.

Quote:There's a known issue at the moment with allowing EU Characters to copy over to the Training Room. My sincere apologies and we do anticipate this being resolved at some point tomorrow.Ok.... I'm waiting for an explanation right here why the EU test can't get access to any of this!
Also, please note that there is no longer an EU Training Room, nor is there an NA Training Room...there is only Training Room.
...and Zuul.
Thanks!

Test Server Known Issue
Character Copy from EU shards to Training Room is currently unsupported. A fix is in progress at this time and an update on the status of character copy should be provided on Friday 5/20.
Steampunk Is Now Available on the Test Server
With the City of Heroes® Steampunk Pack, you can thrash miscreants in your baronial jacket and jodhpurs or keep a stiff upper lip as a proper member of the upper crust in a top hat accented by the requisite inventor’s goggles. Journey to the center of adventure in these new costume parts, patterns, pistols, auras, emotes, the exclusive Steam Jet travel power, or the new Wonderful Wind-Up Wings.
This booster pack serial code enables the booster pack features for all characters on the game account from level 1. However, costume change emotes** listed below require unlocking at least one additional costume slot.
Steampunk Pack Costume Parts
The Steampunk Pack unlocks over 60 new costume parts for male, female, and huge characters inspired by the Victoriana noir that is steampunk: heads, hairstyles, chests, belts, legs, boots, weapons, and wings
Costumes- Weapons: Pistol and Rifle
- Accessories: Steam Pack and Wing Pack
- Inspiration – An incandescent light bulb appears over the character’s head.
- /e inspiration
- Train Whistle – Character yanks on a train whistle, which releases steam and makes a “toot toot” sound.
- /e trainwhistle
- Hot Temper – Character looks angry as steam blows from his ears.
- /e hottemper
The Steampunk Pack offers two new tintable auras, including the Clunker Aura, the first-ever path aura. Path auras are a new type of aura that allow your character to leave a customized visible trail wherever it walks. You can set up either of these auras as always active or combat only.- Victorian Décor - Glowing Victorian designs placed at different locations around the body.
- Clunker (Includes a trail aura) - Small bursts of steam and gears/springs emit from various places on the character’s body, and fall to the ground. Characters can also select an oily trail to leave on the ground with this aura, or select the oily trail individually.
Costume Changes
Activate the following Steampunk-themed costume change emotes using the costume change interface, selectable from the main Menu.- Oil Strike - The ground shakes, and a giant geyser of oil bursts from the ground, obscuring the character. He emerges, dripping with oil, in his new costume.
- ccoilstrike
- Pressure Release - Character stomps the ground, and a jet of steam erupts, obscuring him. He emerges in his new costume.
- ccpressurerelease
**By default characters only have one costume slot, and must unlock additional costume slots through activities in the game. Unlocking an additional costume slot can be accomplished by completing costume slot missions at levels 20, 30, and 40, and by using Halloween Event salvage (which can also be bought, sold, or traded via the in-game Consignment Houses).
Steam Jump Travel Power
Harness the furious power and speed of steam to rocket through the air. Steam Jump is a new travel power that is available at Level 4. Steam Jump cannot be slotted.

When I read this thread earlier today, before running out, I was going to reply that we should have no forum handles.
We could all be anonymous posters of the community.

This suggestion has been conveyed onward and upward to the development team.

Quote:Post count's an odd thing.
I generally ignore it (barring "Hey, that's a nifty number coming up" - see also having 1337 posts and the like.) Yet it seems to be a target for people who I *dare* do anything but rain puppies upon and strew kittens in their paths for the five thousandth "we should be F2P! We need vehicles! This is a unique idea!" post.
I was even informed of this by a friend *outside* of the forum - that in a certain global channel, someone who shall remain nameless not only was misrepresenting pretty much everything I'd said, but claimed (as though he had the slightest clue about me) that I held myself and what I said in some sort of high regard because of my post count.
Let me put this bit on record: Post count means only *slightly* less when it comes to ranking what someone says than the color of their desktop wallpaper, and is about as relevant as the length of their nostril hair to anything in game. I. Don't. Care. That goes for *my* post count as well as yours. And that goes for Noobie McNooberson with 1 post all the way to the heavyweights such as Arcanaville or FatherXmas.
My suggestion?
Allow me to hide that post count (and anything associated with it, such as a title.) You want to disagree with me, fine. You want to dislike me because I'm stubborn, grumpy, obstinate and don't agree with you, pointing out what I see as flaws or pointing out minor, irritating *facts?* Fine. But let's give the option of removing a pointless, distracting target that we have in the form of post count.
If I'm disagreeing with you, it's because I disagree. Not because I have X many posts. If I continue to argue with you, it's because you haven't convinced me, not because "you poor, foolish low post count person! Bow before my number!" The only numbers I'd suggest anyone bow before are those of our Queen of Maths, Arcanaville - and no, not her post count, either.
So let me get rid of that little distraction.
I'll be honest, it's something I've considered.
Post counts, to me, can cause divisiveness within a Community and that's something that we, as a Community, are better than.
Not pulling the trigger on anything, but it's rattling about in the brainbox. -

The issue is slated to be resolved with this Thursday's maintenance.
And there was much rejoicing . -

Quote:I can officially confirm that Issue 21 does indeed contain stuff. You really shouldn't be spreading rumors like this. Next thing you know, everyone is going to be running around telling everyone, "I21 has some stuff in it!!!" when the developers have confirmed no such thing...
There's cool stuff.
There's new stuff.
There's needed stuff.
Hopefully there's not any broken stuff.
The only stuff that I can definitively state will not be included in Issue 21 is...

Oh look...what's this in my inbox? A Steampunk Booster Pack Trailer?
Wouldn't that be something neat to show on tomorrow's Ustream cast...
