Flashback to an alternate dimension. I called it.
-
I heard TR is turning into a real train wreck. I feel for Cuppa.
-
It has been rather sparce of late. Maybe our topics aren't interesting enough to draw Dev attention.

o.o did some one call then and tell them that the 'viper' was coming?

Ya know, I was told that joke by a German. It took me half a day to figure out the joke. -

Please use this thread to discuss the below announcement:
I'm not quite sure what to make of this, but I just found this hastily scribbled note on my desk from the City Scoop, our player publication for Supers, by Supers. It says:

"Don't have long. They're coming. No Scoop this week. Send our regards.

TIN FOIL HAT POWERS ACTIVATE! : Form of...The 5th Column? -
This idea should be brought back from the dead before every issue until a dev comments on it.
-
My one big complaint is that there should be more "Panic" from the NPCs in the zones. All NPCs should be subject to knockback from bombs going off right next to them. They should run like their lives depended on it. Noone should be trying to steal a purse when the entire zone is shaking and bombs are cutting through the green sky.
-
That was the funniest thing I have seen here in a long time. And quite informative.
-
Power leveling is sticked, not exactly an indication of an affirmation.
-
I haven't read every page, but I wonder if there has been a Dev reponse to this thread?

You get the idea. -
As a public service, I am always willing to come up with names for any character from the most general of concepts. I guarentee no (.)'s or (-)'s and most of all the name will make sence.
-
You forgot the #1 thing to remember when creating a name.
CAPITOLIZE IT! This is just a blaring sign of laziness an may be a turn off by others when it comes to teaming. If you cant be bothered with capitalizing your name, how much effort will you put in a team? -
I think naming has a lot to do with the type of game/character you intend to play. In that I mean are you playing with the intention of becoming an actual hero/villain or is your intent to create a "Homage" character, a joke character, or simply want something to get you into the game.

I response to Eltanin; Well said my man, well said. In an ideal world the organization put forth by the military SHOULD lead to a veritable leadership-factory, but sadly this isn't the case in many instances. But I stand to my conviction that if any institution is a catalyst for the development of leadership skills, then it's the military. But as you said, we should take it and nurture it wherever we find it.
-
Three Words: Red Eye Beams! What is that all about?
-
An abstract concept for abstract positions. If you are looking for leadership skills in a game, you are really diminishing the idea of true leadership. If you want leaders, look to the armed forces, we learn to be good leaders by learning to be good followers. How many gamers can say they are good at taking orders?
-
As diversity goes, I think CoX definately has it in spades.

> New interesting zones - I've always wanted to see ones that target other hero/villain genres like Anime style (like Princess Mononoke, dragonball Z, etc.) with costumes, big eye character options etc, or maybe a D&D style one with dragons, sword wielding knights, etc (plus some old favs like trolls, hydras, etc).

While I wouldn't mind more character options, one of the things that I like about this game is that it is different from all the big-eye anime style and sword/sorcery fantasy style games out there. Adding those types of things would start to blur the lines between this game and "those other games"... IMNSHO, of course.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing. The hero genre crosses many styles. I don't want to play a hero game where my only option is classic american comic book heroes, just like I don't want to play a hero game where anime, fantasy, or silver age are my only choice.
I think there's room, and profit, in casting a wide net and letting the players decide what they want. If everybody is a big eyed anime character, I'd be surprised, but you'd know they all chose it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Then make it a different game. American-style heroes is what this game is based on. Noone is looking for the reverse of anime. I am sure there is profit in an anime-style MMO, but I dont want to spoil this one to get it. -
Also, the side effect of more craftable costume pieces is a lowering of the cost overall. I for one want a flood of costume receipes. The salvage and INF to make them is negligable anyway.
-
To me they seem to be nothing more than a place to use the /e sit emote. Or a short cut between zones.

Wasnt this one of the big sells for even having a base? The idea was SG members would get a buff of some sort from having one of those IOPs. Im sure it is somewhere in the bowels of the forums, but I wonder what is stopping the implimentation?
