  1. Was wanting to maximize -RES.

With DS, I'd get 2 pets and 3 primary attacks that would facilitate it consistently (without slotting) = 8 guaranteed applications of -RES

Mersc; (with slotting; Achille's Heel proc) I can inconsistently apply -Res through all 6 pets and 1 primary attack = 17 'chances' at -RES application

I haven't taking into account attack chains and cycling (speed of), durations, magnitudes, stacking (where applicable), ST vs. AoE, etc...

Anybody already have this figured out? Or can lend a hand?

    Thank you in advance.

Cimerora needs to be expanded and fleshed out beyond the city walls.

The new GR: Prelude, Part I trailer has what I'm talking about towards the end of it.
  3. Would it be possible to create 'skins' for the buildings? Especially for events?

Rikti Invasions - buildings and roads are skinned to look like they've taken blaster hits/burns; at least upon the Rikti bomber travel path

Winter event - rooftops, sidewalks and roads get a layer of snow or ice (seasonal skinning in general; Spring Fling)

Zombie Apocalypse - buildings and/or roads are skinned to look more morose and/or decayed; more flies and sewer roaches topside

Deadly Apocalypse - randomly burning buildings (like the blueside firefighter mini-event) and patches of ground fires (could also do this along Ghost of Scrapyard's travel path)

Eternal Night - Less outdoor lighting; while providing faux light from lamposts, streetlights, windows, spotlights, Arachnos/Longbows with flashlights, etc

...and similar skinning for other GM and misc events
  4. For Pete's sake, what ever happened to the exclusivity in exclusive promotions.

If you pre-purchased GR; you were granted exclusive early access to 2 powersets

If you pre-ordered; you get exclusive enhancements (which, honestly, are no big deal when you actually read up on them)

If you wait until release; you get an exclusive free months playing time.

I fail to see any doom, slights or slaps beyond (possibly) the lack of information on how EU players are affected.

    IMO.

Perhaps the timing could've been more closely grouped so that people could've better assessed the situation and made a more informed decision. But when it boils down to it, it's all to do about nothing.
  5. These have got to be the most difficult of the current forum games. Congrats to everyone that can spot these locations.

maybe... I'm not too much in a rush, I already picked up a code for the caption contest.
  7. I'm not sure that religious buildings would be an issue unless it actually displayed symbols of its denomination.

But adding anonymous buildings, here and there, with 'grand' architecture and stain-glassed windows; maybe even some statuettes with indistinguishable features could be made to satisfy the need for religious buildings outside of those already used by the CoT.

  11. Unusual Architecture (where applicable):

Mineral-based (Mineral glass, volcanic, obsidian structures)
Plant-based (Tree houses, villages, travel systems, zones)
    Organic-based (living; breathing flesh)
    Fishing villages, floating markets
Open (soft-door) cave systems (that are arted like creatures actually lives in its crack, crevices and cubbies)
Hovering architecture (even if its only a few feet off the ground)
Advanced tech design (think Jestons... or even Minority Report)
Huts buried within existing forested areas (mud, grass, clay, brick)
    Phantom buildings (semi-transparent)
Large amusement parks (especially in 'Carnie-ville')
  12. I'm kinda disappointed at the whole feel of the Rogue Isles... it's as if someone took the worst version of ghetto and/or junkyard and spread it throughout Mercy, St Martial and Grandville and then went below average on everything else (save Cap and the Jackpot district of St Martial).

It gives rise to the question, why would any 'normals' want to be there (visit or inhabit). It feels like a place you go to work because there's no other option.

Where are the peds getting there groceries from? Where, outside of St Martial, do they go to have fun? Even if the Isles are supposed to have this grimy feel to it; outside of floating debris... I'm not seeing it. No bars, cantinas, nightclubs, market districts/flea markets, massage parlors, pawn shops, dog/horse tracks, actual junkyards, gun ranges?

You find more differentiation in Paragon City.

Another thing that stands out to me is that both sides seem to be all super-urban business districts or wilderness. These places don't have suburban or coastal residential/commerce areas?

Both sides definitely need more personality and definition instead of being structural husks.

How much will the Complete Collection Item Pack cost?

For players who wish to purchase the Complete Collection Item Pack separately, the Item Pack has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $6.99 USD (€5.99 / £4.99). The Complete Collection Item Pack will only be available digitally, through NCsoft.com
    Awesome. Thanks for the update.
  14. I'm aware of the parity/disparity between the numbers but that doesn't answer if the -End portion of those numbers are supposed to be the same across the board (ie. WAI) or if there is supposed to be a modifier for Defenders similar to those found in other primaries; like Dark (-ToHit), Rad (-Def), NRG (KB), etc. (ie. bug).
  15. Is it WAI that the End Drain percentages for the Defender version of Electrical Blast are equal to the Corruptor version? I was under the impression that Defenders were supposed to have a percentile advantage over other like AT sets when it came to secondary effects.

    IMO...

I wouldn't mind seeing a PPD or LB HEAT. One of my big problems with blueside is that it's an freeworld mess. Not that I'm against freeworld but there's a serious lack of storyline continuity from 1-50 until you get into the Kheld arcs.

Likewise; redside is too linear where it shouldn't be... it alludes to two separate paths in Mercy then converges into a thick mess of a linear contact line.

Both sides could borrow from one another in structure and expand.

I'm disappointed that there isn't a 1-50 continuity for each of the Origin contacts on blueside. Or hero-patron storylines that lend themselves to 1-50 continuity. Even redside patron storylines could be expanded back down to level one.

Some people are vehemently against locked storylines/content; some feeling that their one (1) character should be able to do and earn every little individual tidbit of CoX particulars without boundary. I vehemently support locked storylines/content because it mandates re-playability; supporting CoX's massive alt, character slot and multi-server system/setup.

I like the idea of multi-linear play embedded into a freeworld environment.

What's the use of having EATs if all they do is run the same hoops your other 15 alts have already run? Want more story in some of the Hazard zones... a PPD EAT storyline sounds like it could fill that role. And with progression into Hardsuit, Psi Cop or Awakened (with possible Drone support); a PPD EAT looks as if it could be a very versatile and full powerset.

Longbow lends itself to many full arc possibilities within PvP zones (which sorely needs to separate itself from its Arena cousin).

    Blah, blah, blah...

So, in short, I would support and play either because it could add 2 more persistent storylines as well as 2 very unique (in terms of gameplay) ATs to blueside.

But before we do that, we need them to make the Carnie and Rikti VEATs.

  20. Awesome! Thanks guys; EMPulse. I'd like the Carnie outfit [Ring Mistress]; if I need to PM for it, I'll have to do it when I get back from work in the morning.

    Thanks again.

Definitely not the '12-pack of cold ones' I had in mind...
  22. Corr's Assault is actually 15%. Not bad when run with SP at the early levels.
