I just finished a library that involved quite a bit of stacking but not in terms of book shelves. I figured it should go under library images. Here are some pictures of the construction and the final product.

Ooooooh, I like what you did there, KomradVex. I kinda wanted to add a chimney onto mine, which I think I just may do since you've used the same blocks.

The only thing about those arcane blocks is the gap at the ends that makes them hard to put side by side... I tried to be crafty about it in my first version but I may just have to mix them in with something else.

That is kind of how I felt while I was creating mine. I love the idea, but it's tough to get the right items together to make it look realistic. Still, I thought it was worth a shot. Especially since Magic Desks entered my life...

If you can, post some of your ideas EEEKK. Even if they don't work 100% I'd be interested to see them.

It's only useful if you're already planing on having the fireplace on a second floor because the floor torches themselves are precisely two floor sections tall. Although that does make it easy to figure out where to put the blank arcane supergroup tile (the emblem in th 4th row, 9th column doesn't display).

Since I don't currently have a room where I plan on having a second story or a fireplace, I didn't want to put in the time to build the surroundings for that, but the flames look nice apparently resting on that stone square.

Hmmm interesting look. I was thinking of a 2 story work room, so perhaps I'll use that idea there.

I was thinking of doing something like that. Of course I'll use my favorite stackables, the file cabinets, and put them around the bonfire circle and stack them to the ceiling. Like a black marble chimney. But now I see how you've used the torches and that looks nicer. Maybe instead of using the small desks you could stack a couple of reg desk facing out? Or even the wood fence-like pieces on the side and then stack a couple of arcane carved stones for the mantle?

Yep, those were the kind of modifications I had in mind. I actually had that orange-wood cabinet up top as the mantle originally, but the colour of it just irks me with the stone. I want to keep it arcane looking but I'll try to play around with some wood accents.

For about a year now I've wanted to put a fireplace in my base, but never could. And with Christmas coming up, I figured I'd give it another go. (Santa coming down the base portal just isn't the same). Thanks to magic desks, I have been able to make a solid attempt at one. Here is what I have so far:

Actually they are Pain Fields But I have been thinking about putting in the Force Field gargoyles in my Control Room. It's just not secure yet though, but if I get around to it I'll post it here.

I'd just like to preface this mini-tour with a thank you to the people from this forum who have inspired me to try a lot of neat things with the base editor. While these photos aren't really pictures of floating tricks, they are probably my favorite 2 rooms in my main SG base.

Renaissance de la Veritas base on Champion-- Teleporters and Work Room

Just off the entrance is the Teleport Room where we have beacons to all the major zones. At the back of the room is an entrance to the less-frequented teleports.

Back to the main room... off to the left is the passage way to the Work Room, where we have storage bins for SOs sorted by origin.
Around the bend and over the bridge is the Inventions Room and Library with a few crafting tables.

Here is the bird's eye view of the Work Room.
