....um, how was the poster incorrect if he/she said exactly what you did (sans the numbers)....

Hey BF, this is how I've built my Arch/Elec to 34. Pure PvE. (please excuse my lack of a planner, im posting off my phone on the train - there may also be level mistakes, the bumpiness is mooshing my brain)
1. Aimed Shot
2. Fistful of Arrows
4. Charged Brawl
6. Hasten
8. Blazing Arrow
10. Havoc Punch
12. Explosive Arrow
14. Superspeed
16. Buildup
18. Ranged shot
20. Aim
22. Hover
24. Lightning Clap
26. Stunning Shot
28. Thunderstrike
30. Whirlwind
32. Rain of Arrows
future plans - PowerSink, Shocking Grasp, Elec EPIC.
To go more "mainstream" you could drop Whirlwind and Clap to grab Aid Self, or go towards Stamina, maybe dropping Ranged Shot, as its often left me with a "meh" feeling that my Nrg snipe never did. Think it's the animation.
With a bit of slotting I've found i don't really need Stamina. Archery seems end light, and with PowerSink in 4 bars time, im sure i'll survive.
Elec melee is very powerful (yet End heavy, beware).
Many people moan about the drawtime, and yes it can be a factor, but I've found i stick to Archery for groups, then switch to Elec for ST whoopings.
Took the Elec EPIC to add to my Cone damage of Fistful after RoA. Also conceptual and nice armour (speaking of which, try it with ONE tech robotic arm, looks great and works well. Ie - robotic arm for higher arrow power, coupled with Elec blaps)
Its a fun build, and i whole heartedly look forward to taking it further.
I've heard and seen good things about other Secondaries. Off the top of my head the main pro's would be....
Devices - Caltrops + mines + RoA
Ice - Ice Slick + RoA
Nrg - Boost Range for larger cone and RoA cast distance. Power boost for larger Stunning Shot.
Fire - RoA + FsC.
Im sure there are a lot of other fun synergi's you can find. Good luck! -
A great, great cause.
I'll definately throw my weight behind this. Maybe even change the Ranger colours to Pink and White for all to wear.
To the Pinkmobile! -
.....did i just fall asleep for a month again?
Surely you were teaming with my 35 just last week! Blimey, good job!
Gratzy Waltzy, i look forward to watching your equally named Ranger scale the list. -
Gratz Kitty!
Shame I couldn't stick around for very long last night, seemed like a great lil team you'd formed (as always).
Guess i'll catch you next time! -
Cheers gang, its just I've been enjoying solo'ing my Shade content so I don't miss any.
Just didnt want to happen upon her and watch as my pets rip her to shreds
Thanks anyway, and if you fancy another swipe at her you're welcome to join me.
Oh, is there a badge for it/count towards a badge? -
Hey guys, just a quick question for all you 40+ Shades.
I'll be looking to offer up the WS arc AV to my coalition chums as its obviously quite a rare opportunity.
Just wondering whether the AV appears in the 40 or 45 arc.
Cheers. -
Curses, thats baaaaaaaaad news Sheepy. Always enjoy your colourful toon names...
Wont be the same level of sheer enjoyment without you...
Maybe you'll return after a RAM upgrade....
Bye bye Sheepdip, have you any woe?
Yes sir yes sir, 3 bags HOOOOO!
*sobs* -
Also sorry to see you go GJ. Always a pleasure to team with you. You and ur bro made a formidible duo to team with.
You'll be missed. Av a good one
*cough* Minnesota Vikings ftw *cough* -
w00t, nicely done Missy, always a pleasure teaming with you. Make sure you let me know your next toon name!

Im going to go straight ahead and fall into the Earth camp.
I respect the other sets but for pure versatiliy and pure control Earth picks it at the post.
Mainly because 4 (includin Animate) are LbAoE. Location based AoE's simply are better the normal AoE's. Any new mobs waltzin into the zone will be affected. Volcanic gasses alone could allow me to control a whole mob for a massive amount of time from one application.
Earthquake is a great tool for control. The biggest factor being that it doesnt require an Acc check. It'll also flip bosses. The added -def and -tohit is also a nice touch.
My favourite thing about LbAoE's is that you can do them from behind an obstacle, hence meaning you can take alpha's for a team very comfortably.
For secondaries i'll have to be biased and suggest (again) Trick Arrow.
AoE sleep, st hold, AoE hold, 2 LbAoE slows (glue is targetted, but stays in area after use). Also Flash Arrow for mini ghosting or for helpin to get to an obstacle (as mentioned earlier)
So together they've got
PbAoE sleep
AoE sleep
LbAoE KU
LbAoE hold
AoE hold
AoE disorient
2 ST holds
3 LbAoE slows
then also the ability to debuff dmgres to approx 65% with stacked disruption arrow and single Acid. Also debuffin dmg with Poison.
But as far as "support" goes......id listen to Okton, he's done like 47 controllers. -
Quiet Stagey,. i know you love us....well me anyway.
Welcome aboard Burning One. Dont know if you've been briefed fully yet. Just in case you havent, here's the quick run down
Precision Rangers - Blasters
Union Overlords - Controllers
Armoured Core - Tankers
Team GBH - Scrappers
SNHS - Defenders
Cosmic Justice - Kheldians.
Its just that over coalition chat we'l usually just say "Level 20 lft" leaving out the AT because the SG will give that info. Might catch you out if you're new.
The Ranger base has TP's to all hazard zones, plus Atlas Park and Peregrine Island. The UO base has TP's to pretty much every zone, hazard or not.
So wear those colours with pride squire.
Cya in-game. -
Phew, so glad iv seen this for obv reasons. Glad it's sorted. I'll be there as ASAS, then happily switch to Holy to hand out CJ invites if needed.
-
Nice1 Solar me ol' mukka.
*cough*Shade is better than Peacie*cough* . -
I play this exacxt same way, and sacrificed similiar powers.
Team DpS in realistic terms just means
Dwarf Mire -> Human Mire -> Nova AoE/Cone -> Stygian Circle
Get those things slotted nicely.
Id suggest a recred in the cone/AoE, as even with Hasten, there's a lil downtime, and that's hurting DPS.
The only Human form Powers you'll ever replae the Nova Form part of this sequence for are
Quasar,
Unchain Essense,
Extract Essence.
Id suggest getting Unchain earlier that you have. Gravitic Emanation is a nice power, sure, but if you're after plain, str8 out Damage, UE is the way to go (it also has quite a nice Disorient chance that isnt mentioned in the description IIRC.)
I find i can survive without Stamina, because I'm never in Human Form long enouygh to benefit from it.
Because your damage is so high, and AoE/Cone based, a lot of things'll fall over at the same time, meaning perfect Stygian's.
Saying that, I htink you've over-slotted it.
Just the base slot for recharge, and an additional slot for Endmod is what I use, and it fills my bar off 3 minions. Im thinking of dropping an Endred in at a later stage so i can use it when more tired.
So in my experience, Shields and Stamina arent needed at all, because Human Form has nothing to do with a High DPS, tri-form build.
Hope it helped a lil.
Shnyet -
Aforementioned bind being
/bind [ "target_custom_next void$$target_custom_next quantum$$target_custom_next cyst$$target_custom_next sapper"
Type it, use it, love it.
Oh and for Warshades, try /bind ] "target_custom_next enemy defeated" for targettin a fallen foe for easy unchain essence and extract essence.
Back on topic, running towards Quantums is a good idea as theyr coded with Void script, hence will put away the nasty gun and try to melee you. Voids have a nasty quantum-damage glove, Quantums do not. -
Sounds similiar to what Im planning. Got 3xrecred, 1xhold atm, might up those hold durations once i get more slots, dependant on how it's faring against AV lockdown.
For PvP they could help against trying to crack Tanks
*shrug* -
Aha, Planteers! Thank You, been bugging me since i posted that
Oooooo baggsy not Zordon!
But yeah, way back when, the good ol' Power Rangers were and inspiration to us all.........and we even have 2 numbskulls following us around like Bulk and Skull, in the form of Doulos and Aero.
*is worried about how much he remembers about Power Rangers* -

And there's a lot of psi damage flying around in the 40s (I know, it's the same problem for most shields).
[/ QUOTE ]Psi clockwork, some carnies, some praetorians....Not that much, IMO.
[/ QUOTE ]
What else do you face in that area?
Crey and Nem? And even Crey are thin on the ground
A lot of the 40+ content are the people you mentioned so if you're facing even 50% the mobs you mentioned, i think Okton's statement stands. -
I think we'r more Captain Planet!
Earth!
Wind!
etc etc
............and again I see Aero as that lil annoying HEART kid. -
If you're keeping stamina and avoiding melee attacks. MAybe you could slot;
3xdmg
1xAcc
2xRange
in all your Ranged attacks. It'd give you an extra dimension to your play and could catch out some people (especially once you hit 35 and get boost range).
Arch has an inherent +acc (however small), so 1xacc should hopefully be sufficient. (for PvP you'll be firing off Power boost, Aim, Buildup anyway so....)
The only power your primary will gain from Power Boost is Stunning Shot. So either take both, or take neither, your call. -
Unfortunately I shall be on my holli-bobs, but all the best to you Stase on this momentus occasion.
-
Excellent work again Swissy, that lil red devil looks a cheeky chappy.
Keep it up! -
Aye, mine is Elec/Fire Jumz.
Sat at 25 atm, awaiting more TF loving. It's a fickle beast, and FSC has a tendency to produce it's radius from where you've just come from. But once you work that out, you're plain sailing into PBAoE goodness.
