No worries Okton, we'll try and catch you up!
I'll see you all at 7pm. -
Okay scratch the 31st, too busy that weekend... hmm. September 6th then?
-
Sure. It'll probably be at the weekend at some point.
-
Re: Midighter, I plan on doing the Lost hunt (sorry, CURE) before next week, as it's a no xp distraction.
ITF will wait until everyone's 35+, naturally. But I do want to do that sooner rather than later - I want those cossie bits! How about another TF race betwen the teams?
Oh and likewise, the RWZ intro arc will wait until everyone's 35 or higher.
Oh yeah, how high did you guys (specifically, those in my team) get to by the end of Monday night? -
Yeah that's fine for me too.
So where shall we meet next week? -

I don't know about 'I'll get my coat'...
I think I need to 'Fetch my glasses' because I read that as 'Spank Otter'..... which sounds equally filthy if you ask me.

Emphasis mine.
I think I found my next villain name -
Yeah it was quiet, but I'm guessing that was the bank holiday weekend that did it.
I wasn't there the whole night, but by the time I left our team was all between 34-37.
We were breezing through lvl 37/8 enemies and I was very disappointed I had to leave so soon.
Canine and I had a chat about our timing. Since we tend to wait for a lot of people to show up before we start, we often don't get cracking until 7:30.
Next week, in the interest of getting right down to business we're going to try something different.
We'll forgo the usual meeting spot and start the fight against evil soon after 7pm. That means when you show up, announce your presence in the Cold Front channel and one of us will fling you an invite right away. -
Sorry to hear that M-Dog
I won't be able to stay for long tonight either - just an hour for playtime then I must get back to doing some work. I will be there at the start however. -
Aha! Good point.
I guess we could run through the first RWZ arc, since it doesn't take long at all. -
Actually we're going to hold off on the RWZ for a while, since it's impossible to outlevel them. I know some folks are pretty tired of RWZ overexposure anyway.
-
Hey please calm down TRT, that's not what we're saying. I'm certainly thankful of the information as I had no idea the arc behaved like that (last night was the first time I bothered with the Origin of Powers arc, since it's not needed for Midnighter access).
Personally I'm curious if it's a special 100% chance or a fluke of the 10% chance for Pool B recipe drops. There's no special mention on Paragonwiki about it. Definitely bears further investigation.
---
On another note, tomorrow we'll meet up in the courtyard of Steel Canyon university.
Those teams still pursuing the Montague Castanella arc will do so, but after that we'll all be working on regular story arcs for the next 2-3 weeks (since we're getting into the fun arcs now) and catch up on the current/next safeguard if needed.
In mid September we'll have a go at the Imperious TF, which I'm looking forward to. -
I completed the villain equivalent (Ashley McKnight) yesterday and received a recipe for Deflated Ego: Chance for Recovery Debuff - which is a Pool B recipe.

Poop
Looks like this may be a bad weekend as well then. How about Sunday 31st? -
-
My photobucket account's being gippy btu I'll try and upload pics asap.
In the meantime - are we still on for Saturday? -
We hit 34-35, and we're near the end of Montague's Midnighter arc - just done the mission called "Investigate Rikti" if I remember right.
-
The timer used to be 24 hours, it was reduced dramatically some time later as I seem to recall.
For anyone who isn't interested in repeating the task force, as I mentioned earlier there'll be another team around doing other stuff anyway so you're welcome to do your own thing.
I recommend the Midnighter intro with Montague, since that's what my team started on last week. -
Okay, tonight's the race through the Katie Hannon TF.
The TF is for 30+ so not everyone will be able to join in, sadly. However I hope those folks will form a team of their own and keep playing, since they'll also be able to pick up any latecomers who missed the beginning of the TF.
We'll meet again at the campus of Croatoa U to sort teams out. The TF itself will start at 7:30pm. -
The scope of these conventions is way too limited to justify the amount of work and manhours it must have taken to get that costume done.
I've no doubt these items will remain 'exclusive' for a period of time - say a few months or more - before opening up to other players, either as Vet Rewards, in a real money purchase, or as part of a future Issue for example.

EDIT: Scratch that - read the article more carefully:

This is a temp power disguise, nothing more. -
Our team got to 33-34 in the end.
We went back and redid Kelly Nemmers' arc which was horribly full of Red Caps and things were a bit shakey on those gnome-infested hills.
But then we got off the slopes and began Montague's Midnighter arc for a change of pace and things clicked much more nicely.
Next week, we'll do/redo the Hannon TF. Azomas suggested a Hannon race between the teams, which might be fun... -

I need some reference pics of Mea Culpa, Grizz, Noddy, and Commish for an Epic Moments gag. Please get me some screenies of your characters guys
(In regular costumes, please! No Ninja Noddy with faerie wings and in swimming trunks, for example )

Oh poo!
Will get it done as soon as. Mostly studying for a job interview atm.

Ooooh job interview?? Do tell! Anything interesting?
And I will get a Mea screengrab uploaded asap. -
Meeting as usual tonight, 7pm.
The meeting spot will once again be the campus of be Croatoa U.
