Quote:Your billing date is on the 30th.Will I get any points because I reactivated my account on Sept 30th? If not, would I have gotten points if I waited a day to reactivate on Oct 1st? If so, does that seem fair to you?
You should have received your Monthly point allotment for September already (the day you reactivated or on the day Issue 21 launched if you were active previously in the month). You should receive your Monthly points for October on 10/30. -
I believe our estimates (subject to change, void where prohibited, caveat emptor) are for rooms ranging anywhere from 99.00 - 109.00/night, + applicable fees and taxes.

Quote:We'll have all of that information posted early next week.It would really help those of us needing to make travel plans to have a location to book a hotel room in as part of a travel package.
The more notice you can give us on this the better since airline prices will likely be rising more as we get closer to the date.
EDIT: Even a PM would work. Since it's against the forum rules to make public any private correspondence, you know I wouldn't be breaking that rule because I'd have to report my own post.

For those commenting on the short notice:
I absolutely agree with you.
Ideally, we wanted to announce this months ago, however as you may have noticed with our cancelling our presence at New York Comic Con, our event schedule has been very, very tentative due to the amount of resources needed to successfully and smoothly launch Freedom.
The good news is, the launch has gone well, very well, and I'm able to shift focus and devote much of my time towards planning this event. It's definitely not an ideal timeframe, however we felt it better to do everything we could to make this a special event (and one that we can repeat ). One of my goals since coming here to Paragon has been to revive Hero Con in some form, and I believe that with the FPS, we have such an event, but with a total focus on communication with our Super Fans . -
Quote:Keep an eye on the Paragon Market ....Now that you have the Paragon Market up and running I would suggest that you think about offering the special costume codes you pass out during these meet-n-greets for sale on the market. The people who actually can attend the events would still get these codes for free, but selling them in market would provide an opportunity for other people to enjoy them as well. Besides it's basically a new source of extra money for you that you would not have otherwise had. It'd be a win-win for everyone.

Quote:I thought this was clarified earlier in the post?hey, Zwillinger, I feel compelled to point out that we still don't know when the Server Transfer tokens are rewarded -- end of VIP month, beginning of VIP month, middle of VIP month...
Regardless...
They award on the 1st of the month, upon your first login.
1st as in calendar first, so everyone already received theirs. -
Quote:I know, however it's not something that's pertinent to the circumstances. Billing publishes encompass all NC products, not just COH.Many thanks for the update. It's good to know we'll all eventually be getting our VIP Paragon Points for this month. Have you been able to find out why the entire billing publish was originally delayed from yesterday? Also, what steps have been taken to ensure that next month's script will run properly?
Thanks again.
This one fix should ensure that the script runs, and self corrects to your actual billing date, moving forward. -
We've seen a considerable uptick in Peak Concurrent Users .
-
I am hitting the waivers hard this week...let's see if it pays off.
-
I did confirm that the script is taking time to get through the backlog. Some folks, as shown by posts in this thread, have already received their points.
Everyone should be getting their points throughout the day. -
Quote:From what I have been told, points should start awarding tomorrow. Not to be a pain about this, but if the script goes in on 10/12, does that mean we will actually get the points on 10/12? Or will it take some time for the script to run meaning we have yet another delay getting points...
Experience tells me that scripts take time to run.
At this point, I don't have an ETA as to when those points will actually show up for you. -

Apologies for the delay in responding to this. We've been waiting for confirmation on the exact situation.
Here the situation: The script to award your monthly stipend of Paragon Points on the 11th was scheduled to go up with a billing publish that was slated for Monday. Unfortunately, this publish did not happen on Monday. This means that the script will go up during a billing publish tomorrow, 10/12/2011.
I know many of you are eagerly anticipating your monthly stipend of points and very much so appreciate your patience.
My apologies for the delay .

Right now, we're looking at things from the viewpoint of folks who have been around for a long time, who know the ins and outs of this forum. But what about from the viewpoint of people who have either never been to the forums or are completely new to our Community?
Recently, I've spent time talking to people who were new to the game, and even asking people, where can I find builds (I was incognito of course). Very few folks could point me to one place, the usual response I got was "On the forums...." and when I asked "Yeah, but which forum" the response was almost always "I don't know" or "You have to really dig through the AT and General forums".
You're still more than welcome to cross post builds on the AT specific forums if you like, however we're trying this forum out as a central repository of all builds, regardless of AT.
I believe that if you give it a chance and follow the suggested format we can make this forum a place for folks to naturally gravitate to for builds, specifically. Plus, we can give better visibility to Mids updates here and sticky each update.
Before shooting the idea down, please, help us give more support for builds and the folks who like to share them and help others with theirs. See how it pans out, you may like this format.
Thanks!

A couple of things:
- I dont bind every single channel I type into. I am in my max for globals, and I participate in Arena, Help and Request. Mistells happen, I'm human, life goes on.
- We try to minimize how frequently we use server wide admin.
- We're not going to stop using admin to announce if we're on a server playing with the Community or if we're running an event. The admin channel is the surest way to let everyone online know what's going on. If we didn't, we would have more people complaining that they were never told.
- Every time you see red, it's not necessarily server wide. We can type zone wide (map) or server wide through our various commands.
- We are particularly mindful on servers such as Virtue and Union as we know that it has a higher number of Roleplayers congregating there. We wish to participate in the Community without disturbing RP sessions, however there are times where we will utilize admin.
- We are professional to a point. We also remember that we're working on a computer game and we're supposed to be having fun.
TLDR version: CM's make typos, we like playing with the players, RP will not be invaded by daily red chat.

I've been working my way through my inbox, however it's taking some time.
(and that's down by the 50+ I've managed to plow through this weekend )
Thanks for bearing with me as I get to your concerns and requests. -
I am going on record as stating that I had nothing to do with spawning these.
-
Hey guys,
Evidently I missed a practice tonight?
Would someone mind shooting me a PM on the nights we've got practice or a match? Or if we've set up a regular schedule, that would be outstanding to know.
Thanks all, it's much appreciated. -
Looking forward to seeing how creative you base builders can be with this contest! Good luck to everyone who enters!

Quote:AFAIK, you can't opt out of the haircut.Yeah, 5 years of subscription time sounds sweet, but I have hair down to my waist, and having it cut short is just NOT an option for me. Seriously, I've never had a short haircut that I didn't have to fight with in order to get it to look good, or that didn't look awful on me. And if I won, I really wouldn't want to have to wear a wig for the next few years while my hair grew out again. And thanks to my work (Security), I can't have a "silly" hairstyle either- no strange mohawks or weedwhacker jobs allowed.
So this whole haircut thing is a real dealbreaker for me. Unless we're allowed to opt out, or can opt just to have a couple of inches of dead ends taken off.
You could probably make requests of Posi for a trim...but that's between you and whatever FSM you pray to. The man is *not* a licensed beautician. -
Quote:You'd be surprised.I'm quite sure that Paragon Studios have the power to stipulate that their entire player base should be eligible.
When third party sites host contests, they usually have their standard rules and regulations that they use for most, if not all, of their contests. -
-
Quote:MMORPG's rules don't single out Quebec in this case. AFAICT, you're not excluded. And from past experience, "including Canada" really means "including Canada but not the province of Quebec, where the laws are much more stricts when it comes to contests"
Since I live in Quebec, I've come to greet every and all NCSoft's contests with an apathetic "meh"... -
The contest and rules itself are all determined by the fine folks at MMORPG.com. In this particular case we have no control over what countries they make this contest eligible for.
We will, when possible, endeavour to make contests we host open to as many members of Community as we can.
