Bonne fĂȘte en retard...
(And for those who can't read French: no, I did not call him a 'tard...) -
It's OK, S_K, we'll simply postpone it for next week...

This is quite a loaded question...
Each server has its fans and detractors alike, for most it's a question of knowing someone on a server and wanting to team with that person.
If not, then if you want a server with LOTS o' people on it (for good and for bad), choose Freedom or Virtue; otherwise any server will do.
Personally, I'm on Protector most of the time. -

Sunday might not be good for me: Smite_King had scheduled a Sky Raider SF for 8 PM EDT, and I signed up for it...
On the other hand, it seems that only him and me are signed up, so I might be able to give you a hand...
I'll make it simple, and leave my spot free for someone else. -
I'm late again.
Happy Belated Birthday, Cass ! -
If you need him, Kreetch is available to be Ghost Widow's personal punching bag again...
-
Sign me on again, please.

Something came up and I won't be home tomorrow, so I won't be able to join in the SF.
Truly sorry about this... -
Quote:Actually, you have the level number ON TOP of the SG icon (urgh!), so I went to the Options menu to see if...What does SG Mode look like with your level number in the same corner?
HOLY COW! YOU CAN NOW DISABLE IN-GAME EMAIL !
Nope, I did not see an option to "un-superpose" the level and SG icons.
Or simply set it to receive emails from Friends and Supergroup Lists only !!
I know quite a few who will rejoice at this... -
Sorry, Blue, but my one big con this year was GenCon, and all my other vacations dates are already booked since May (which is why I can't attend HeroCon either... )

Quote:Hell, why not go for broke? A race from Galaxy all the way to the Storm Palace itself (the first person to land on it wins).
Have each runner assigned a revive/teleport enabled character to get them back up if they die (but they can only be teleported backwards).
On second thought, that'd probably be a lot of work to organize.
On third thought, if y'all really wanted to do that and maybe allow Grant Invisibility once the runner reaches the Shadow Shard, or any other stipulations, I'd use my second spec to help.Quote:Might have to offer a good size reward for it, but yeah checkpoints would be good and of course in the shard...flight and tp would have to be allowed... IMO. Maybe only the jetpacks, but hey...
Afterwards, if a level 1 wants to explore the Shards with his brand-new Jetpack, hey, who am I to stop him or her (or it) ? -
I was on last night for about an hour, and decided to roll up a new scrapper (Martial Arts/Electric Armor) to see the new MA animations.
Then, after leveling him to 2 (doing street swipes in Galaxy City), I decided "what the heck, let's up the Difficulty settings". I found a very understanding Hero Corps Field Analyst who accepted to set me up as a 2-man team with +1 difficulty level (hey, I'm reckless but I'm not crazy!).
I did a few mishes, mostly against Hellions conning yellow and orange to me, and managed to survive (thanks to my Vet rewards).
Oh, and a funny thing happened while I was busy teaching those Hellions the error of their ways.. I got invited to a SG !
Yep, a SG. On Test. "Sure, what the heck..." -
Since there will be no minimum level for entry to the different zones after I16, and after reading this, I'm strongly tempted to organize a Level 1 Foot Race from Back Alley Brawler in Galaxy City to the Jetpack Vendor in Firebase Zulu.
Off the top of my head, the rules would be like:
* This event would be scheduled shortly after I16 goes live.
* All participants would be Level 1 (or maybe Level 2 if they went thru the Tutorial ?)
* No travel power allowed including Vet Rewards, the only exceptions being Sprint and the City of Heroes Pre-Order Sprint powers (now, how to inforce this ?)
* A "suggested" route will be established, and volunteers would wait at a series of check points along that route to "check" on the progress of the runners.
* Rewards would be at least 10K - enough to buy a Jetpack - for any participant to make it into Firebase Zulu within a certain time frame (to be determined).
Ok, so this is the first time I try my hand at setting up a Player's Event, so any meaningful comments are welcome ! -

Quote:Naaah, I remember seeing the Thing do something similar in old issues of Fantastic Four...I'm guessing the Ground Punch came about from that scene in Sky High, myself.
... or was it the Hulk ?...
And for all I know, 'Sky High' is a rip-off. -
I was able to update the Test server copy of CoH on my gaming laptop last night, and I logged for about an hour (11 PM - 12 PM EDT).
I tried to upload a copy of Kreetch at level 50, but when I logged in it wasn't there, so I used a level 48 copy of the same toon from a previous romp on the Test server.
As soon as I logged him in, I was greeted by 8 new badges
I was in RWZ, so I went to the tailor there and I tried on the newer animations for Invulnerability and Super Strength.
Some are fun (Two-handed backhand swing for Knockout Blow - WHAM!), some are meh (Punching the ground to do a Foot Stomp ???), but I can imagine some people will be spending hours and hours tweaking their costumes slots (let's see... 38 costumes slots spread on 26 toons, at roughly 20 minutes average for a makeover... YIKES !)
Is it me, or did they add some new incidental music in RWZ ?
I will try to log in again tonight and create a new toon, to see in details the changes to the Character Creator. Any suggestions as for the archetype / powersets I should try ? -
I did. Is there a doctor around ?
I might have a look-see when I get home from work later tonight (11-ish PM EDT), if not I'll try to log in tomorrow morning before leaving for work.
Dang! I suddenly realize I haven't updated my Test Server installation for a while. Most definitively going to do that tonight THEN log in tomorrow morning -
On a slightly on-topic note (I know, I know, but I swear I won't make an habit of it...), today's Backward Compatible strip deals with CO...
