i liked the old skool paragon allstars myself b4 the worlds 50s and his mum starting joining up and never used the toon before the 50 allstars sg started it was truely awesome -
i play pvp tanks all the time as well as other toons and have no problem with toggle dropping at all, don't understand why good powers get "nerfed" just because people can't find a way to fight it

depends on ur tank, mine can 2 hit any squishy in Warburg (but then again it was specifically made and designed for PvP from lvl 1 ) -

Personaly I like it its not for every one. But I can find team based PvP there when ever I want it wich is some thing I cant do in this game. I dont have a prob with CoX as a game its just that the PvP is a bit sparse.

there are 2 PvP arena nights every week which anyone is welcome to and the regulars often put calls out for PvP battles on other nights. if people don't respond or turn up there is little more that can be done...
the union PvP arena practise night is wednesday night, if u like PvP please come along and join in -

The problem with the zones is that if they are full of people everyone wants to go. If you go in by chance and there is no one there you leave. I think they need to turn the zones into mini events that last an hour. Say at 20:00 everyone who has arena chat on gets a Dev message saying Zone event starting or something like that. Heros then fight villains for an hour teaming or solo it wouldnt matter. Then whoever gets the most kills in the hour period(heros or villains) gets an award. the award could last till the next mini event say an hour or two later. The award would need to be something worth while to get people taking part. you would also need to be in the zone for an hour without leaving and out of the safe zone for say 50mins of your time there. An idea for the award could be an increase in xp(not to much) till the next event starts.
I dont see this as a big advantage to people who like PvP as they would have to spend an hour in the zones in the 1st place getting little to no xp(and they might not even get an award if on the losing side) Just an idea of the top of my head im sure there is a lot better ideas for awards. When theres alot of people there the zones are great fun and i think this is a way to get alot of people there at once making it fun.

The problem with PvP is that 90% of the players dont have a clue on how PvP works in this game. This is far from any other PvP, I have seen. The speed of this game compares to none other cause you have to constantly be thinking counters and still react.
To be a good PvP you need to know every power in the game by heart, and how it effects you.
You need to know how much you can hit while radiation infection is on you, you need to know what kind of buffs you need to deal with certain situations...there is so much you need to know to rival the best.
The best players have fought pretty much every AT in the game. They know how much damage they can deliever, when they have fortitude and when they dont. They know how much enervation field buffs their damage.
You need to know whether to kill the stormie or the empath guarding his back first. You need to know what buffs your opposing team has access too, so you know how many people should assist with the kill.
PvP between PvP'ers and casual gamers is pretty much a 50-0 victory everytime, and this I think is a major turn off for newbies to PvP.

this is a pvp build so i wud being using ID as a perma buff to my team as i give perma cm to my team as my empath so even given the shorter buff time i'm sure i cud keep this up.
i have air sup on my empath but feel with siphon speed hover wud be useful on a /kin
no fulcrum as its use in pvp is very situational and i feel there are more valuable powers

You've got inertial reduction for unsupressed travel, slotting fly and using siphon speeded hover is just pointless.
Fulcrum will be useful come massive PvP battles, even if you use it once or twice in a big rumble it'll swing the tide a lot more than some other powers you've taken.
As said above, there are more useful things to do than keep team-mates perma ID+SB'd especially as a controller. You are not a buff bot!

does it still not show animations? i always thought that was 1 thing that made it hard to fight against as u had no idea what attacks they were using or if they were even attacking u at all, dunno if thats changed now that it roots

again why is raids considered by many the only form of pvp? if ur group is good at raids come along and try the arena, wud be great to have more people
edit: Art of War seem, from what i've read, to have the edge on all base raid sg's because they pvp in the arena and have become very good at it, if you can be good against the best from union and france then i wud have thought being good at base raiding is a whole lot easier -

Only other thing that can withstand a dedicated blaster is someone running unstoppable. And that cannot be broken even with end draining. (though they will propably automatically lose after a while but its still fun to be adamant for those 3 minutes )

such a server would open room for expanding the kind of gameplay that would be introduced within the game.Plus a whole new aspect would come into place.Called politics.Due to the mixed nature of the server there would be a lot of room for alliances and treaties and more wide scale tactics involved.
Also a new zone with sieges on nations HQ's would be awsome.Imagine the heros of UK making an alliance with the villains of USA to raid the Heros of USA which would be allied with koreans villains and heros.....MAYHEM!MM's dropping pets everywhere...stalkers jumping inside the walls to perform first wave kills...Advanced blaster squads providing info about the attack and waves of heros and villains waiting for the attack single to storm in the HQ and fight till everyone drops...bah i need play some Shogun now...lol

This is a general truth to all toggle relying AT's. A brute is a blasters paradise for toggle dropping and for storm controllers.With a stormie i can toggle drop you in 2 or maybe one go all your toggles with 2 clouds up and clap.But i dont have the damage to perform the kill.A blaster packs all the damage necessary to perform the kill plus to toggle drop you and hold you easily.Thats why toggle dropping is an issue right now at pvp and will be toned down.Because the brutes at 1vs1 with a blaster are wiped.Feel free to ask imaginary about it or any good pvp blaster out there.You got toggles they are gonna drop and then is like sitting naked in the cornfield.

think ur not giving any credit to the brute at all, sure my tanks toggles are dropped against blappers but am i really gonna stand there and say please kill me? as soon as they attac me a bf is popped b4 they even strike a blow, quickly followed by fiery embrace, build up, energy transfer and total focus=dead blaster(this is assuming 1v1s which was the impression i got from your post)

I can name you a bunch of people but i will tell you this.All self respecting pvp blasters will shred your brute to pieces from melee.Energy secondary from blasters relies on toggle dropping which is performed melee.Furthermore the blappers will all fight you melee and if you dont believe me i can always get the pvp blaster population on here and post the exact time it takes to shred a brute to pieces in 1vs1.
