GR wasn't at this year's Bristol comic-con, so can't really offer any insight :P
Though RockJaw and the TaskMaster were there, which was nice :P -
Have you noticed how you keep your weapon out for Brawl, and they have different animations? Like the Katana set's weilder buts them with the hilt, and bow users do a kick
These were painstakingly written per weapon set, as a custom animation. It takes a lot of work to do this for all 3 body types.
The reason this happens with other powers: They are mutally exclusive to the weapon sets, have their own animations that start at 0 w/o the weapons. & ofc clipping issues. There are no doubt more reasons behind it.
Redraw is frustrating, but the damage/tohit malarkey is already calculated before the animation happens. IT's only an aesthetical difference. The work to change it so the weapon was always out (which i'm sure would upset a whole other group of whiners), would be a *collossal* amount of work...time better spent on new content, and not on a mild irritation
re: 1, Sheaths/Scabbards would be nice, something akin to the back-mounted swords on the Jounin from the Ninja/ MM primay
Weapons size may be hard to do. Simply having weapons to customise is new enough, and I for one am perfectly happy with the unlockable weapons & adapting them to costumes and sometimes the reverse. If it's easily done, and done well (separate section of scale sliders, similar to face/build) then sure, if not- i'd suggest being content with what we've got, as there's nothing wrong with it -

What's wit the threadromancy? These threads are long dead for a reason. -
Hami and the Raiders were the hardest, I found.
And the pets were a failsafe, simply didn't fancy my /cold debuffs against the Honouree's rather impressive credentials :P -

It would be like trying to argue the Contaminated, Infected, Luddites, Goldbrickers, Arachnoids, Dockworkers, Scrapyarders, Cage Consortium Guards, Wailers, Prisoners or Spetsnaz deserve more content, when basically all of those factions already fulfil the niches they were created for.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, you could probably get something more Luddites. And I don't thing we see King Midas in the game either.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except as a Contact? In a car made entirely out of gold...
[/ QUOTE ]I don't recall there being anything in-game saying Golden Roller is Midas.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's true, so we could end it there as that. But it's awfully convenient (Zone w/a faction whose leader turns things into gold, Origin of Power arc talking about his power) for Cap to have a contact whose Car is entirely made of gold, and iirc, doesn't have any missions against his own faction.
But you're right, there's nothing ingame to confirm that. Though back on topic, the Goldbrickers are rather small fry compared to the possibilities of Coralax arcs (for example) -

The forum seems pretty much dead to me mate. And people are too lazy to reply. Maybe you should try to organize it ingame?
I'd be up for it but I'm most likely gonna miss the DXPW. Have fun tho.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or simply aren't interested? I abbhor DXP events, and no longer play Heroes, preferring to focus on Defiant Villains (for Example).
However: to the OP, hang around said zones at peak times/watch the global channels, there's *bound* to be plenty going on -

Maybe the Cimerora/MClub portal in Pocket D could just be locked to the same access requirement as the Midnight Club entrance arc.
[/ QUOTE ]
If that's workable, then I don't see why not -

Out of interest, did you have many face plants?

From Memory:
Me: 1 at clock king (Psi nuke), 0 @ Riders (neither of us, was tough though). 1 @ Dra'gon (Landlord came and delivered some furniture, hard to reply with 'Sorry one sec, taking down a Rikti). Several @ Hami, until we got the strategy down to a T. 0 on last Mission
Finheri: a few on Hami...that's about it -

or just make it so you can zone to Pocket D from all co-op zones and we could buy there at arena or bar stores.
[/ QUOTE ]
A gate in each zone, would make sense with it being trans-dimensional n'all...but w/cimerora would present a problem re: entry requirements. An interesting suggestion though
I am quite relieved to hear that some people agree. I do the same, things like EoEs for the Mini-Hami, large purples for when waste matter and fan meet. -
Re: Lavantera, Really? I presumed seeing as she was a contact, she would give the 'You're too busy, leave me alone' spiel. I'll give her a try next time.
The way I see it, if the devs are going to keep pushing the co-op angle (which, I admit, is a clever way of mending the CoH/CoV playerbase gulf), then they need to compensate for the difficulties presented by deciding to allow teammates to use characters of the other faction.
Seems a bit counter-intuitive at the moment.
And I agree re: Decimus, that would be perfect -
Presuming that the devs subscribe to the same Philosophy as Valkryst, you can be damn sure that they'll want to avoid that scenario at all costs. Casual MMO being one of the main draws for repeat subscribers
Heck, one just needs to scroll up and re-read his earlier point, I shaln't repeat it, as it hammers the final nail in this thorny coffin -

It's been done before, I hear your cry! Spawnus has already done it, go home and be quiet? Well, this one was different.
Unlike the other runs, who had the luxury of insp/temp top ups, the following pair was denied that:
Xemulas: Ice/cold Corr
Finheri: Inv/SS Tank
Completed in 4:14 (Bah, Screenshot UI didn't grab it!, Hope DJ has a picture)

I guess i've finally gotten around to voicing this due to the string of ITF/LGTFs in the co-op zones lately. The Imperious can, at times, be quite tough. This is made needlessly more difficult by the presence of a mixed team interfering with the ability to purchase inspirations (which, for some characters, are helpful if not essential)
We have Mender whatsizface, with the tash, in Ouroborous, who sells inspirations despite the fact that he isn't a mission contact. My only request is that similar contacts are added to current co-op zones, and any future ones, to prevent both the hassle (as Ouro is used on single type teams a lot, I understand), and the Prejudice (which I have seen first hand, teams leaders refusing those of the other faction on the basis of limiting the purchasing of inspirations)
I personally don't see any harm/exploitation from this suggestion, nor a groundbreaking amount of work. But there could potentially be angles that I'm unable to see this from, hence i'm leaving an elipsis here (...) incase there're things that need to be said.
Thanks for your time :P -

maybe alot of people just hope they will get an invite from someone rather than attempting to make a team themselves.

Also: Co-op content, though probably the line the devs would go, is not the answer I'm comfortable with. Heroes and Villains aren't ment to walk hand in hand with each other. The playerbase is split between them (regardless of how uneven), and I agree that CoV could benefit from some more Strike Forces within itself, instead of 'shared content' for heroes that feels 'tagged on' for Villains. Almost like a:
CoV: Can we play too?
CoH: Oh, go on then!
I'm on defiant villains most of the time, and there's almost always something going on/people about. The view of 'is it quiet' is a very heavily based on who you regularly team with/your approach to teaming. I rely heavily on my global contacts for teaming, so in that sense, my own view is heavily biased- though regardless it's would be all too rash to cry d00m. -
Ice/sonic, imo. Gives a decent fill for whenever I can't make Sundays :P

For that reason I think CoH's fixed L50 level cap, and the strong encouragement to play alts when you get there, is largely responsible for the strong friendly community here and the games strong subscriber retention - by pushing players into creating new alts rather than sticking with one character you feed a lot of veterans back into the lower levels, where they meet new players, pass on in-game knowledge, form new friendships and strengthen the community - this doesnt happen much on the raid/grind MMOs that constantly raise level caps annually and most of them have terrible communities.

The most important paragraph you'll read all year - CoX Monthly -
use /hide to block tells, if it's frustrating you
I spend a lot of my time talking to friends, who may not be on my team, an insta-lockout would be beyond frustrating. If it's getting to you, /hide_search and /hide_tells do the job perfectly well
