Speak for yourself, Angie. -
Ok here's my Fire/Dark Corruptor. Unfortunately I've already made it out of Praetoria and into Paragon City, so this picture wasn't taken on one of the awesome new maps.

The way we did it last time was the flag is a player selected at random and announced. The other team tries to defeat that person to capture it. Whoever defeats the flag then becomes the flag, and the other team must try to get it back. So the flag moves back and forth between the teams until one team has it at the end of the match, and wins.

I suspect there will be quite a few new alts out there, so I'll be hosting a Pee Wee PvP Night this Sunday, August 22nd!

All ATs are welcome! We will be setting matches, as usual, to level 6-11, but any level above that, even 50, is perfectly welcome since the Arena will exemp you.

A minimum of three 10 minute matches involving your choice of AT, set to Flyweight (level 6-11)! Match types will depend on what shows up, but may include:
- FFAs
- Small and large teams
- AT/power set themed teams
- Capture the Flag Pee Wee style
Matches will be set to:
- Small Inspirations Only
- No Travel Powers
- No Heal Decay
- No Travel Suppression
When
Sunday, August 22nd at 7:30pm Eastern

Pocket D!
Registration
Please arrive a few minutes early if possible so we can start on time. Send me a tell @Amygdala once you arrive for further instructions.
Hope to see you there. -
I didn't take a screen shot of my Praetorian yet, but here is one I did take I thought was funny.

I will also gladly run a TF with you.
CL posted a really good break down of the TFs appropriate for your level. Also, check out Task Forces by Level from Paragon Wiki for a complete list.
Hopefully we will see you tonight for a Hess TF. -
So far I haven't moved too many 50s off server, but I'm at a point where I've got almost nothing but 50s and no room for new toons. Then again, I have mostly been working on IOing certain level 50 toons and have had little interest in making new ones. This will likely change in the near future.
I'll likely be transferring quite a few 50s over to Liberty from Champion. It'll free up some space and allow me to hop over for a raid with you folks. Expect to inherit a few Defenders. -
Quote:As CL is pointing out, we have a lot of server activities. Please check out the event calendar for times and dates. Large scale server events are a great place to start to meet new people, since there's almost always a decent crowd attending at a scheduled time. For more day to day, unscheduled teams or TFs, make use of one of the global channels CL mentioned. Chances are, if you're interested in doing a particular TF and start to form it up, others in the channel will show interest.Champion still has a decent server player population. No, Champion is not as active as it was back in 2006, but that's to be expected. It's still fairly easy to find teams though, imo. We had a blue side monster hunt for EoEs on Friday. On Saturday, there were a ton of Master of * Task Force / Strike Force runs, as well as a blue side Hamidon raid. There was at least one Master of * Task Force / Strike Force run yesterday as well, and at least one Rikti mothership raid.
The game is what you make of it. There are plenty of teams to be had. I know you're on BMT of Champion. There's also the Champions United global channel. Find a good and active SG to join, which there are several. Make use of all your resources. -

Quote:This. 100 times, this.I can't help you with issue 2, but issue 1 can be taken care of quite easily. Paragonwiki.com has the basic info on Hami himself, as do a couple posts on this forum. When the free server transfers were around the first time, I transferred toons over to champion, virtue, and justice just to get a feel for hami raiding again. Free transfers are coming up again, so it might not be a bad idea to do that.
Leading is all about planning. Come up with a plan, make sure people know what the plan is, and get enough people willing to try it. That is what hami leading is. A lot of other server forums have their Hami Strategy usually on the first page. Matt's own other topic has his strategy in it, my wednesday night raid topic has mine.
There is nothing special to leading Hami raids other than educating yourself about Hami, the various strats, organizing a time and some leaders to help out. When I started leading raids, I did what Hazy did. I checked out the Wiki, I read the post i9 guides provided on the forums, and I attended raids on other servers to see how it was done first hand and to take note of any differences between servers. Despite having lead over a year's worth of raids, I still go to other servers sometimes to maintain a fresh perspective, or compare notes with leaders on other servers. There are different ways of completing the raid, and a lot of that depends on what you have available to work with. Whichever way you decide to use, the best results will come with everyone being on the same page and participating.
Everything you'd need to know is out there. It's all about taking the initiative. -

I thought you did a very good job leading the raid, Matt. I was more than happy to help out with yellow taunt.
As Peterbilt mentioned, we did have a very strong yellow taunt team. The Tanks I had with me were very attentive and on the ball. Despite this, it did take until after the first wave was complete to acquire our 6th Tank. (Ideally, you'd want 6 Tanks for evac-less raiding, one per yellow mito.) We were sitting at 4 for quite a while until just before we started. So I would agree that another run or 2 would be helpful to familiarize players with the raid itself and the different teams. Hopefully as more raids start happening, the teams will fill up faster and it will be easier to tell what you have to work with for an evac-less raid. It also helps when people arriving at the raid don't start forming up their own teams. I realize it can be tempting to want to get things going, but it makes it more difficult to track certain ATs down to join the more critical teams.
On the plus side, evac-less raids can be done with the exact same team set up you would normally use, so it does not require any reorganization in that regard. So as a raid leader, you can always wait and see what you have available before deciding whether or not to try it. Worst case scenario if you try it and it doesn't work on the first wave, you can always go back to TPing out without making any major changes. -
The best way to get in touch with other players in game, for teams and TFs and such, would be to join one of Champion's global chats. BMT of Champion and Champions United are both good choices.
Defenders are a lot of fun and come in many different flavors, all of which can be a good choice depending on what you're looking for. My advice is to make a few toons to see which one you like.
Good luck. -
Great raid all!
And thanks to our first time team leaders for giving it a go.
