The question is not whether I will keep the mission until Wednesday, but whether I will be online on Wednesday. I already have all the Pocket D badges on my main Villain, and she's the one with the mission, so I have no intention of completing it anytime soon. I will be farming the mission on sunday. Sounds like a good time. We'll have to see about Wednesday. For the record, I have level 12 and 16 villains I could use to force Hordeling spawns, although it would require some serious alt juggling.
-
My lvl 40 still hasn't done this, but if you want to farm these badges for your heroes, then you're going to have to be ready when I do it. I'll drop a line in the Badge channel. These two badges WILL take a while, and I'm not keeping the mission, unless I can get the Pocket D badges on this alt by teaming with another villain. Be prepared to stick it out for the long haul.
-
Always up for a little TF, luv. I'll bring one of my lowbie alts. I'll bring Shadow. She still hasn't done this. Only lvl 12, but Khelds don't really worry about travels
-
We do it on weekends, because most of the people I know who're interested play on weekends, luv. Sorry about that. Organise something during the week yourself
-
We'll be doing the 4th and final CoV Strike Force this time. We'll meet at the Ice Mistral contact inside the Golden Giza in St. Martial. The SF is for lvl 35-40.
The usual arrangements. -
Apologies for the late post. I almost forgot about it.
The 3rd SF will be run at 12pm this time on Saturday, with a repeat on Sunday for those who can't make Saturday. As usual, we form the teams from whoever arrives.
We will meet at the Tech and Science shops in Sharkhead. The SF contact is just left of them, on the ground. -
It's a conspiracy. You deliberately made this badge available when I couldn't be online to join you !

As I remember it from the beta forums it was Hide + Stealth + multiple applications of Grant Invisibility to put you beyond the perception threshold. I also seem to remember that this was being looked into along with the whole 1-shot business.
[/ QUOTE ]
Your recollection differs to mine and others. Yes, its more than likely being looked into, but until it gets altered (Which may not be for some time AFAIK) Stalkers have a huge advantage in PvP.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, his recollection is the same as mine, and my recollection is damn good. For the record, I run Hide + Stealth, and while it is more difficult, there are many Heroes who can see me/ detect me in some manner. I find they're generally the more interesting people to PvP against.
FYI, SS + Stealth makes you completely invisible as well, by your definition. -
Level range is 35-38. It's the only TF that covers such a small level range. Probably because they crammed the Eden Trial (Follow-up to Numina) and Hydra Trials into the 38-42 range

On another note, there is another GM other than Caleb and Scrapyarder so may trie to hunt him down

Deathsurge (Electrical Gremlin GM) in Cap au Diable.
Apparently he spawns 'just right' of the Base Portal. I've never seen him, but spoken to people who have. Up to the last patch the badge was bugged. Since they've given the badges on CoV some much-needed love, I'm thinking maybe it's fixed now.
Worth testing, at least -
I won't be able to attend the Sat event, but since I've gotten the ball rolling, and I know of several people who will be there, I assume it will go down as planned. Enjoy

Lusca, which is the only 'normal' GM in CoH which requires at least 2 teams to take down, with little to no debt.
[/ QUOTE ]
Made it the other night with 6 ppl and only 1 death
Like you said 'You need good handlers'
Hope this will give better results than the test in the Hive
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm assuming your team consisted of experienced players - and that they'd all taken Lusca on at least once ? I was referring more to the average team, involving mostly new players to the th GM, at least. -

Obviously count me in, the girlfriend will be annoyed but this is too good to miss. Big TY to kin for getting all this info up here in one place, was hurting my head sifting through USA posts looking for what they already know.
Ok now for my 0.02 infamy...
Some of the yanks are thinking of Caleb as the villian version of hami. That is to say a large scale project that would require most of a server population to make a contribution in order for it to work. Something about this idea just seems wrong.
1st... it just dont make sense to introduce something like Hami inside Nerva, because nerva is one of the "main" zones. Wouldn't the Lag become horrific to all players? I know that during one of the USA Caleb hunts the server had to create Nerva 2.
2nd... were not up to I7 yet, were still capped to lvl 40, does it realy make sense to put the big bag GM within reach of lvl 40 villians? what are they going to put in future content if they give us a massive GM battle now?
Does anybody else feel that an event on the scale of 50-150 villians (while probably a good laugh) is a bit out of place in CoV at the moment?
Also has anybody found any refrence to Caleb within there story arcs? Read anything in short storys? Seen anything that mite hint at an order of events?... Time of day?.. any basic clue? I know the devs left us to figure out Hami. but this is a diffrent ball game. Maybe were missing something more obvious, maybe this is meant to be done with an 8 man team? or maybe its just the order things are meant to be killed? or maybe it is a simple case of kill em all?
This is all just speculation on my part, but I'd love some feed back or for someone to just be able to tell me I'm deffinetly wrong, at least that way we'd have someone who knows what to do and i can get that damned badge.
Scar Child of the Blood Line.

I agree. This GM is not meant to be on the same scale as Hami. I believe it's more along the lines of Lusca, which is the only 'normal' GM in CoH which requires at least 2 teams to take down, with little to no debt. It stands to reason that they would have something similar in CoV.
I think they made it a triggered event spawn, to
1) make it more interesting, and
2) eliminate the problem with the Lusca GM atm, which is 3 concurrent spawns. The smaller US servers would have this problem, I think, as well.
My guess is, you'd need about 3 full teams. It's what I would have done. -
Like I said, the SF will run on Saturday (2pm gmt) AND Sunday (11am gmt). Join on whichever day suits you best.
Teams will be formed from whoever is at the location on the right day at the right time. I recommend you come a little early, so you have 'dibs' In fact, start the team yourself. -
This Strike Force is an SG SF, but vveryone in the team does not need to be in the same SG. We also have enough people who will be there that have access to a working SG mission computer, so starting he SF for all teams won't be a problem.
For those who've already done SFs and have some of the badges, this is the one that gives Air Pirate. The level range is 20-25.
I have plans on Saturday, and I've had requests for a date change, so I'd like to do this on Sunday @ 11 am. We will gather in Sharkhead, at the Base Portal (in front of the Hospital)
If anyone cannot make Sunday, then we will make arrangements so you can do this on Saturday @ 2pm again. -
We've already spoken, Kin, but just for the record, I'll be there with Silk

For certain badges - namely those required for Accolades, it might even be a good idea to schedule continous weekly events. i.e. Every week at x time, for ever, people will hunt Illusionists or Fake nems or Ritki monkeys, etc. Whoever need the badge can attend at the time, and will be joined by others of like mind. A simple way to get everyone with the same need in the same place at the same time.
-
This is how it's going to work.
We'll be running all the CoV SFs on a weekly basis, starting this Saturday, 2pm. We might even do 2 per week, if enough people are interested.
If you want to join, reply to this post so we can get an estimate of numbers, and be there at the right time on the right day. -
I'm sure it's just environmental.
Now, as stated, let's back to what we can reliably work on. Let's leave the what-ifs and maybes behind until they become fact. -
Indeed. This coming week we will start our tests with the DE 'walls' mentioned previously. Note: These walls are actually chains of DE GMs standing next to each other. We're talking double walls of at least 10 DE each.
Don't say we didn't warn you -
If I can't be on, then I will, otherwise I'll just tell you in person on Friday

Attempting either of these on the fly in the Disco raid would have been foolhardy at best. To suddenly re-organise something that large, with so many individual people involved, is not as simple as snapping your fingers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wasn't meaning the on the fly part! I posted this idea in the thread weeks before the raid itself. also, i sent him a message regarding leading a team, but he just didn't reply.
[/ QUOTE ]
My apologies for misunderstanding your meaning However, I would like to point out that this Raid was meant to be our last big push using the old method, to be absolutely certain it cannot be done on the EU servers anymore. We had enough numbers with a few extra to pull it off, as much as we ever had pre-ED, and we barely even slowed him down.
Damn. Did it again Tabbed browsing for the lose
