Doing the TFs available while leveling up, it's incredibly easy to bag 200 merits blueside, but it's horrible redside. I was able to get the blueside ones easy peasy, but I had to grind in Ouro to get them redside. Yes, blueside TFs take longer(usually), but there's just a ton of them to do, and they're run so frequently.
As for what I'll be doing, I've restricted myself from creating new villains until GR comes out. Everything will be moving to blue when it does. Some redside content is really awesome, like some of the patron arcs*, but besides that most of the game is mean. I don't dabble in the market for horribly expensive stuff like LoTGs, I use merits, so merit opportunities are very grood.
*awesome to play, I'm not one to determine whether something is good because of story or not. -

Yeah, I understand that it'll be frustrating for others, but I just do /em shrug and go with the flow. But that doesn't mean I don't want the devs to do something to make it better. -
Interface is clunky, but I'll get used to it after a while. I can't do things fast anymore, big whoop.
Biggest problem I have with the new market is that it's causing ragequits left and right(combined with the other various things that came with I17). Not that it's unjustified to do so. Just hoping they do something and do it quick. -
Def-based Tanks/Brutes are so common these days (helloooooooo shields) that slotting for Def would probably be more beneficial.
I slot for Def since it helps me get closer to being softcapped to ranged, and I can't say that's a bad thing. -

Fire/Cold was pretty terribad until I got Sleet. Mostly because Sleet meant level 35, and level 35 meant ITFs, which helped me get up to 38 for Heat Loss.
And Heat Loss is boss. -

+2/x3 on my 32 SS/WP. Challenge varies with the enemies I fight and how many inspirations I have in stock. But usually pretty nice exp.
I plan to go up a bit once I can throw around more slots in my attacks.
