Um, anyone who wanted either avatar could just right click on it on this forum and save it...
I'll let you two go back to arguing over it though...

True but if you think cloning others avatars without there permisssion is cool well thats your call
yes but feel free to post a link to your contribution either here or somewhere else and let others enjoy your work. -

I apologise for the NINJA-EDITING chat
Not you specifically the community as a whole. -

An Avatar for anyone who would like too use it. -
I now certain adjustments are made but is this really enough given the powerset was designed to fulfill an entirely diffrent role (or perhaps the same role a diffrent way) surely a complete rebuild from the ground up would be more appropriate instead of just tweaking a couple of things and expecting the new powers to be balanced within it's new dynamic. An interesting point though there may well be as many PP that underperform as overperform it just happened I observed the situation while considering 'over performing' chrecters of mine.
To take your example Praf what good is an END (I'm aasuming thats what Elec armour does as most elec sets seem to I could be wrong) drain secondary effect useful in toe 2 toe to an AT designed to hit and run, obviously from what you said I've got to assume very little.
What good fast small hits to a tank, what good stuns and mezzes to a brute (the mobs just won't last long enough) etc. etc.
I don't really know the AT set up dark side very well but the more I learn the more I doubt just Copying and tweaking is going to give us as well balanced and interesting powerset to use for our team role as taking the original powerset as an example an redesigning it to function well within it's newley assigned role. -

PP can feel like god mode, throe simple statistic.
Simply put, the more power set combinations there exist, for a specific arch type, the more likely it is for an individual to find a combination that fits their play style. Thus making them feel more powerful.

Interesting point well put but while I been mulling this over what concerns me is as I see it at the moment these powersets where designed to fill diffrent team roles or at least perform certain roles in diffrence (ie tank-damage mitagation through resistances/def/healing brute-AFAIK(don't really do much on the dark side myself) Mitagation/Team protection through devatation of oppenents)
So given that (and someone with more experience could probably explain the similarities and diffrences in more detail) they are designed for similar roles but with diffrent ways of achieving such aims, so can you just simply port powersets across from one side to the other, given what I have said and also given diffrent inherent powers, So easily and expect the balance of the game to be mantained. Is the the cause of much swinging of the nurf bat (which has caused me some frustration, I dislike anger, confusion and tension). Perhaps it would be a better plan to redesign the powerset from the ground up in relation to it's 'family' and it's purpose within the team dynamic. -
Sorry too clique, too we don't want you here, anyone who has been 'moderated' knows how frustrating it is (especially if no explanation is forthcoming). If say the community had closed ranks in such a way against you and Jade Warrior say for your overwhelming passion to cross the pond that seem to me to just be getting on everyone [Censored] then you would have had your threads closed, the upshot of this would probably two new threads 'The community are [Censored] heads' signed by u 2 and within 3 or 4 posts each half a dozen of us would end up in the 'Sin Bin' suspended or barred.
Power to the people- nice idea but at the end of the day power corrupts and peer pressure is great, a rather unfortunate formula IMHO. Lets just leave it the Pro's and be thankfully that we don't have to do there jobs.

A wise man once theorized there should be a third degree to the concept of positive and negative reactions, specifically he was talking about the concept of YES/NO
Now the concept that he proposed was a third word with which to answer a question 'PO' is what he refered to it as.
So the system would go something like
Yes-I confirm
No-I deny
PO-While I am interested in what you are saying I need more information to make an accurate determination for myself. ie I reserve judgment but tell me more.
Having learnt of this a long time ago I find that I still find it useful in making decisions (Do I go round saying PO to people all the time, well no they just wouldn't understand me, but I do often then rephrase the concept into an understandable question)
I think what has caused the temprature to rise in this thread has been that Praf has misinterpretted my 'PO' like replies as 'NO' and become defense as he feels I'm questioning his validity, which is really not the case.
I thank those who felt the need to 'defend' me in this matter though I do feel somewhat that it was in a way unnecassery as I'm believe that I am well capable of holding my ground if necasery or retrearing if I believe I have more to gain by doing so.
But thanks again all I really have enjoyed our disscusions about the maths of tanking, though I reckon my brain is defentaly less agile than it used to be, and look forward to further interesting talks with you all.
*Note sorry can't remeber the name of the guy who came up with the 'PO' idea -
Well to provide a little more info
Cold/ice Between the slows/holds/debuffs/sheilding I really just had to drop the nice damage I could have been doing, just a little too much power there I feel
Plant/Emp The confuse power you get (pre travel) compares favourably with the tier 9 confuse power of another set, plus an AoE sleep (useful if used carefully) and AoE and ST hold, An AoE +regen, And some other mad AoE with tendrils that I really havent had a chance to test but when I fired it at a 3 warriors hanging out on the corner it tore them to shreds (still need to run some proper test to see how that works properly ) and I still againt got 'Seymour' tagging along yet. Thats an awful lot of control for one Alt.
Ok yes I've seen Fire/kins burn through 8 man maps and seen AV's that had been unbreakable crumble at the sight of a Rad.
So perhaps partially this is a combination of effects that I am experiencing here. One of which might be the fact that because Def/Troller powers have a more subtle effect they appear in game with a somewhat exagerated magnitude to make them noticable/fun/something valuable. Also my growing experience of the game could be a factor (and on the cold/ice side at least the fact I play in an team of similar powersets lots of our effects stack well together but I imagine my Cryo would perform well in any team.)
And shaman when I was Duoing with a friend of mine (early teen lvl with a tank) I was considering hiring in fillers to make the missions a bit more challenging but my friend was only really finding her feet with her new Alt so I didn't really want to 'push the envelope' the only time I can think of when he has really lost control is on a cave map vs. CoT with a couple of over eager melee guys, the party got too spread and we wiped. He rarely needs to fire his heavy hitters (AoE hold, AoE +regen).
Too be honest both of them seem to be too good at there jobs and I kinda run them at about 60% output and still never really have much trouble.
Was really just wondering what other peoples experiences with these powersets where and also if the fact that they where designed with a slightly diffrent team dynamic in mind ie Villian AT's have diffrent strengths/weaknesses than Heroes, has just randomaly swapping powersets red/blue created a game balance conflict.
Cheers for your replies look forward to hearing your further thoughts. -
Man I havent chorttled like that in a long time, thanks for that EvE,Evie and man with overclocked vocal proccesor.

Nice one Standoff good workround of the censorship issue
Funnily enough I'm also amused by the idea of you cor doing a 'chicken' emote -
Nice idea - The only street hunting I've ever realy done is between Atlas plaza and the sewer entrance,(oh and when I need to for an arc) It would be nice if there was more encouragment to do so.
Perhaps using the system (I think they use) to have all street mobs Con even to your level and perhaps as an adaptation of something someone suggested perhaps a minor amount of debt for every 'incident' you ignore nothing major just enough to encourage people to turn off the Super travel and street hunt between missions.
It's an enviroment for adventure that is defenitly underused.
Off to Tank 'King of Beers' AV for a couple of hours single handed. -

GR mate you got some balls asking us to design an Avatar for you, if I did the same I'd expect an entry box full of little girls in pink dresses sucking lollipops and schoolboys in tight shorts fiddling with themselves cos they need a P, but then perhaps I haven't got enough faith in people (as you probably well know by now)

Wow may only need to exchange very small data chunks with every client if it was 1/2 as much as CoX say then you could reasnably expect a server to be able to support 2* the population (obviously things like this rarely work out precisely in RL). Also the coding will also be likely diffrent, if you expect a population of 10,000 then you have 1/10,000 of your resources to use per Avatar if you expect only 1000 then you can be a lot more flamboyant with the resources you assign to each charecters representation. There are likley to be other discrepensies in attepting a direct comparison in this case.

Currently our servers lagg even if it was just a case of networking all our servers the inta server communication neccasery would = lag +
upon this I based my comment but not being a server tech I ain't that sure but it seems reasonable to me, and I would say it's difficult to make comparisons to other games as I have no idea of there bandwith/player ratio. -
Oh sorry your still harking on about your transfer I thought we had moved on to a 'Super Server' disscusion my mistake.
