  1. Welcome to the artists section!
Yes I looked at the artwork, it'll be fun watching you progress.

But this caught my eye more: "A Boy Named Tsoo"

    I love it! Screenies please.
  2. Altoholic_Monkey

    Hmmm..........

Actually "A Tweaky Sniper by Graver" was posted on 9/1 just before Gill's and that picture is on the list. So I don't think there was a cutoff date.

Let's be sure to send Arctic a PM for the ones missed so he can update the page. It's only fair to artists who donated hours of work to create lovely tribute art for Cuppa. It would a shame to leave anyone out.
  3. I love the band aid! That single tiny detail says a lot about the character! Also all your works has a storybook quality, which takes us all back into a magical time. I think it's the dream-like quality of water coloring that does it. Also, the face of the that background Fir Blog is priceless.

    Most excellent, indeed!

    Request for art.

I'm glad that Emma found a few folks to help with her request. I told her to post here because I knew there were kind folks who would help her out.

Naturally, I know artists are busy but I knew that Emma would be polite and funny in her request. I wouldn't want her post to be received poorly (which it wasn't) and I wouldn't want it to start a floodgate.

I think information does need to be complied on posting requests for art commisions with contact info.

TA, if you need a forum to host that commision request information, let me know.
  5. Free? No Gif animator let's you have a trial. GIMP is free though which is like photoshop and lets your crop and reduce pic size.

    I could go on...
  7. You're referring to an animated .gif. You will need a program that compile those images together into one animated .gif.

    Gif Animator by Ulead
    Image Ready by Adobe

There are others but those are the ones on the top of my brain right now.

Monkey has no people who influenced her in the game....*cries*

Monkey had to learned what NOT to do through many many many many many many many many many many PUGs and reading stuff on the forum.

I'm a "read the instructions" kinda monkey anyway.

    Wait...I nearly forgot

There were 3 key people who invited me to their small SG...we did most of our missions together and with them I got to ding 50! Ms Feelgood's signature cowgirl outfit was/is that SG's uniform...So if anyone influenced...well spoiled, me I'd say the members of Paragon Posse did.

*This thread should be in Role Playing*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Perhaps but I think we can make an exception. Besides it's bound to get lost in there with all those sticky role playing threads.

People can add in one link to their character's image. That way it stays within the the realm of screenshot sharing.

Now then which bio to share...oh man, decisions. Of course I'm bluffing since most of my alts are bio light because...well, you heard of the shoemakers kids who run around without shoes right?...same situation.

But I'll post something up today or tomorrow on a few of my characters. *quick Robin, to the inkwell*
  11. There were a lot of people not in the contest who were happy to watch and support! Some were standing behind the judges and on the platform and even at the hero side bar, watching everything.

I just wanted those people to know they had some great costumes too (in case you thought you weren't noticed standing back there)

I'm sending a personal "On SALE NOW" to Bargin Bin Bob of Virute, your broadcast comments were funny. Thanks for the smiles. (Not that I was short any that day)

Mr. North Korea (two to the left of Mardun) was standing next to me, and I knew he was going to be picked. Judges kept pausing in front of him. (Note to self: Don't stand next to good costumes )
Thanks Gil / Lush, and all those who helped make this happen. /bow

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually, sometimes we were standing in front of people trying to pick up all the details. Often times we might be standing in front of one person discussing another.

I tried really hard not to linger around anyone, and if I was it was more than likely because I was typing a reply.
  13. Whew that was so much fun! Everyone who came out, it was a blast! I was Evelyn Spider *bows* Server jumping was crazy. Virute had the largest turnout spawning 2 instances of Pocket D!

Server hopping was extremely fun and enjoyable. After a while you forget, since everything looks exactly the same, and have to ask someone to look at their global so you know where you are. All in all a fantastic turnout!

I got to meet so many folks from this section! It was like a who's who.
  14. Wow thank you for the compliment. She's a head turner, that's for sure.

Originally she did not have that outfit in the picture. I changed her look when she hit level 20 and got a cape then it was hard to find the right aura for her, that didn't overpower her outfit. This one leaves a cool trail of acid green when she flies. She was the very first villain I made in beta and in live!

Plus she's a kinda homage to Tina Turner, in her Acid Queen role in Tommy....Which is why her legs are soo dang long.
  15. Aww Kat, just stare at the sleeping Kat in your avatar...after 10 mins you're bound to yawn and get sleepy.

(holy crap you're almost in the Cartel Kat...only about 700+ posts to go)

Chun Li...Shadow..Cammi...Ms Pac Man (what? )

If you need a video game to tell you can strong, smart and lovely...then you need more help than having a few female characters can provide.

Besides there are plenty of eye pleasing women who play this game and others. Just they want to actually PLAY the game not date the gamers. :P

(in case your wondering, no monkey won't be posting a pictures...this teh intraweb...scary people live here. <.< >.&gt

The pose and the background seem to say Batman and Gotham to me. In fact, my mind’s cross reference synapses are linking up some old batman covers. What was the artist inspiration in creating this scene? Client requested or artist interpretation? Also what does the sign say, since it’s cut off at the last letters? Just a detail that’s nagging at me, I gotta know.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The image that came to mind when I read your post was this one. Wow Monkey, how many years have you been reading comics girl?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I'm old
    *runs off crying*
*runs back shaking fist* Damn whippersnappers!

I actually didn't start until I was about 19-20 years old which was back in 1989-1990 (put down your calculators...I'm 35). I read them several years after that (batman was, is and always will be my favorite character). Let's see I believe I was reading comics during the whole heightened IMAGE days. When Mr. I can't draw human proportions correctly to save my Liefeld, was hitting the top of his popularity. Was a few years after that I stopped reading.

My brain is selectively photographic. Meaning the flash on the comer doesn't always work so the images come out fuzzy. But if I've seen an image before my brain will store it for reference later, since I was heavy into comics, I remember covers on the characters I like.

Now Superman...pfft the only cover I remember was him dead.
  22. Nice background Imperial. It's the writer in me that sees more in there, more to the story. Also I wonder what the events are surrounding that strange who saved his life by giving up his own. Good name choice for The Imperial’s beloved; Eleanor. One can’t help but make obvious connections to Mr. Poe tale of the depressed chap with the bird problem.

Thank you for sharing the bio and Graver I can't wait to see the finished version.

    Monkey will stop gushing now!
  23. Sparky ROCKS! Thank you for the laughs and smiles, I was almost late to work this morning reading your comic.

Soo funny. As a professional Executive Cat Herder, I do love the twapp the AA gave to BBQ.

    More Sparky!
  24. Your artwork, takes me back to an art show, and a small corner, where a lone artist sat with his small assortment of illustrations. It was images like the one you have created, that sparked story ideas in my head and put me in touch with a great bunch of comic artists.

This piece radiates with emotions, and urges me to put pen to paper to capture the thousand words your art has inspired. This is a lovely piece and with each one you create, you seem to improve upon the last.

Imperial, if you haven't done already, you should...no, you need to share the back story of this character. There are many questions that beg answering.
