Woh, woh, woh....awful lot of metagame in that news reporter. Sorry, but unless they have the powers of, like, DJ zero, thats an awful lot of stuff that they somewho know.
For one, 'renegade vampire Leon DeFeurard'? Leon hasn't exactly been in the headlines since his ressurection; he's been working very much on the quiet as a sort of weapon for MAGI, used at their discretion, and keeping to himself when not on the job.
Now that he's free of them, he'll start doing his own thing. But, for now, unless they somehow have super-sound microphones and a identical face-match database, there is very little way they would be able to ID Leon. -
Void Stalkers are not Kheldians. They are Council affiliated mercs that hunt and kill Kheldians. Rather painfully, might I add; Quantum Array guns forcibly seperate the Kheldian/Nictus and human parts of Peacebringers and Warshades from one another, effectively destroying them.
-
And Leon shows his pissy side, heh. I'm really enjoying writing him in this. It just seems to flow naturally.
Anyone wondering what he's talking about when it comes to vampires and nosferatu, in his opinion Vampires were never meant to rule. They are more of an ideal, a symbol, something that is immortal and everpresent and, while powerful, not overbearing. Anyone claiming otherwise will be met by laughter. -
Quote:Leon merely laughed, cutting down demon after demon. One managed to get in close, scythe like talons raking Leon clean across the face. The vampire paused for a moment, before speaking a single word. It sounded like it should not be pronounceable by a normal tongue, and made the very air itself twist, bringing with it the smell of sulphur. The demon screamed, bursting and vanishing in an explosion of hellfire, its true name banishing it back to whence it came."Curses... old fool... he escaped!", She screamed out... A mental command by her called out to all in the Court around... "The Priest escaped! Secure the bell tower and make sure we are ready to leave... kill all who is in your way! Leeches... attack... NOW!"
She looked at Leon with blood raging in her eyes... her zombie knights standing guard but motionless at the side. Vladimir the Lich his dark powers struck out... streaming healing powers to his mistress while draining her enemies. The vampire witch started to circle her enemies and under her breath she uttered an ancient dark spell... Two hungarian sabers of dark energy formed in her hands. "You want a fight traitor? You can have it! Haida!"
Calmly, Leon reached up and removed the shattered frames of his glasses from his face, flicking them aside as the remaining demons drew away quickly. He looked up, his eyes fully crimson, the triple claw marks fading from his face even as they watched.
"Fool? Traitor? You are the one who claims power and rank you have not earned...child. Massive armies, world domination and who else knows what? You call yourself a vampire? You think yourself Nosferatu? Pathetic."
The old vampire rolled his neck, the joints clicking, before he took a stance and repeated his open-palmed gesture, daring Bathory. "Come, little girl. Let us see what you're really made of." -
*watches Leon get all sword-fu* Heh...show off old timer
-
Quote:Leon merely chuckled, not looking around as the demons encircled him.
She looked at Lilith who signalled her demons to block and stand guard behind Leon... "And I don't know you, sir.", glancing to Leon but trying to keep a solid eye on Pious. "If you join me now vampire, I will forget that remark. Whatever your age I don't accept that kind of talk to me." With that she unleashed her spell on Pious not trusting him to walk free and armed.
...at the same time a mental call to Leeches went for her to target the new vampire walking in... just in case.
"My, my, the new crop really does strut it's stuff, doesn't it? You must be, what? Three hundred, four hundred? Tops?" He grinned, the firelight making the his teeth and the ruby lensed glasses glow. "And I thought that elders and betters got respected around here..."
It was a this point, as he began to twirl the katana again, that a high powered round blew a chunk out of his skull, his neck snapping to a queasily unnatural angle.
"...Oh, come on. Really?" Leon sighed, rolling his eyes. He reached up with his free hand, yanking his neck back into place with a sharp and grating crack, even as the gaping head wound began to heal, the bone and skin knitting in plain view. "Guns, giant robots, laser beams... Not a thought for style or, y'know, actual skill." He rolled his neck experimentally, before swiping the katana blade across the floor, kicking up an arc of sparks.
"Now, where was I? Oh, yes, I was about to get surgical!" he chuckled, spinning and cross-cutting the demon behind him, before uppercutting it so visciously that it's remains hadnt even hit the floor before they'd faded into nothingness. "Let's dance!" -
*boggle* Stiki, no offence, but try reading some of those posts back to yourself out loud. The lack of full stops makes it really too...fast? I dunno.
Anyway, if anyone wondering why Leon's suddenly up in the tower, well...he can sense other vampires? And he hates missing the fun *shrug* I dunno, its 4am, im somewhat whoozy, sue me >< -
Quote:Elizabeth looked almost bored... "My dear Alicia... try to be original please. This was hardly a surprise at all!" With that remark she gave two lazy signs to the demoness and Werewolf at her side. Lilith started to raise the flames higher to make sure they would be alone... a howl of Jack resulted in three werewolves jumping Alicia as one.
"But I am glad you shown your true face. I wasn't sure where your reborn loyalties stood.", her attention shifted to Pious. "Jack, feel free to ripp her apart. I get the holier-then-thou here!"
With that she started to build up dark magic... Her floating body oozing with dark energies... Initiating a spell that should be able to grasp and hold the Priest at his immortal core... his soul (soul storm)."Now, now, gents. Attacking a lady? Thats not very nice. Mind you...nor am I!"Quote:"STOP!" yelled Pious, instantly commanding stillness. His expressions remained calm and passive but he was clearly fully recovered and armed for the worst. "This has nothing to do with my sister Bathory. This feud is between you and I. Right here, right now, we need to end it. You and your demonkind want to share our country, fine. You win. Okay? A sizeable chunk of Cap Au Diable is already yours. You got Bloody Bay during the war in January and now you've seized Astoria. I think that's more than enough both to match your inflated ego and provide stomping ground for all your people. Call off Carmine and her giant robot. Tell the Countess Leeches to move off her snipers, make Alex Balfear go away and those demons down there are Rollister's doing, aren't they? Talk to him, make him stop. I'm surrendering Elizabeth, because there is no reason for us to keep up this fight. I propose a truce; you want freedom to reign and I want your kind to be peaceful among us. So how about it?" he asked, extending his arm over the balcony and offering a handshake. "Live... and let live."
Leon strode through the fire, the flames bending away just enough to let him pass, giving him an eerie halo fo flame, underlighting his face and glinting off the ruby lensed glasses. In a blink he was gone, only to reappear between the three werewolves that were attempting to pounce Alecia, katana windmilling faster than the eye could track, his hand moving impossibly fast to keep the blade spinning.
"Hunters and Vampires, eh? The good old cliche? With giant robots and robotic zombie armies, now? Didn't use to happen like that back in my day," Leon quipped, grinning toothily at the werewolves and then Bathory.
"You...I think I know," he went on, nodding to Pious, "The Priest, yes? Leader of the just and all that? Heh, capital. You, on the other hand..." he glanced back to Elizabeth, raising an eyebrow. "Don't think we've met, m'dear. I tend not to keep track of the youn 'uns, these days," he added with another wide smile, before swiping at a werewolf that stepped too close. "Nuh uh, boys. I don't have anything against you chaps, but something tells me your bosses here aren't too fussed about a few bits of cannon fodder...more to the point, nor am I, eh? Heh." -
-
Leon stood, tapping his foot and drumming the back of the katana blade against his shoulder as he waited for the oncoming horde. After lazily blowing a smoke ring, he flicked the cigarette away and spun his sword in arcs until it hummed.
"Right. Chance to surrender; gone. It's playtime."
With that he broke into a run, vanishing for an instant to appear in a headlong charge right in front of the oncoming mob.
"DeFeurard!" was the one word he shouted, before launching into the front rank like a bladed hurricane. Demons and zombies fell in droves, the katana hacking through them like ragdolls. Leon spun, punching a giant, cow-skulled demon in the face so hard that a horn broke off and the thing toppled back in a shower of teeth. It erupted into flame a moment later as the katana, kicking sparks from where the point dug into the concrete, was dragged through its twisted form from crotch to neck, the skull shattering into fragments.
Leon moved like greased lightning, shrugging off whatever blows the creatures managed to land on him, bursting into laughter as he danced the dance of death, steadily becoming covered in blood as he ducked and wove and killed. -
A bastardised hybrid of a Longbow Chaser, an Arachnos flyer, and Bayformers Megatrons legs from the first movie.
What do I win?

Quote:Hence why on Tier 1 and 2 I said models, not modelDon't forget Thugs and Mercenaries, which have an alternate model for their 3rd T1 pet.
Also: Demon Summoning can customize the colors of their Hellfire T1 and T2 pets. The Fire and Cold T1s and the Fire T2 can't be customized, and the T3 can't be customized.

Quote:Oh ja? Ve haf vays of makin you talk! *bring out thumbscrews*My guess is some sort of global stat boost. Kinda like set bonuses that don't require IOs. I have nothing to back up that guess, just my speculation.
Heh, tbh some sort of 'global slot' makes the most sense. Im certain I remember some unknown slot making its way into one of the Betas that was then hastily gotten rid of...either that or it was the Praetorian salvage that popped up then was whisked away again. My memory core needs cleaning out of glitch mice. Again...
But global slots have been speculated as the things that make most sense since the announced the Incarnate stuff. -
Lets see shall we?
Basic models, Tier 1 pet

Thats 9 just for each set as they are now.
Now, what level of customisation do they do? Do they make more Options for the sets? So for Robots you could have Standard, Steampunk, Retro-tech, Arcane and Bio-tech? That would be 36 new alterations, all of them set models.
Or would they give us per critter customisation? That would be triple, maybe quadruple the work.
So, yes, its a lot of work. Do we want it? Yes. Do the Devs want to give us it? By all accounts, yes. Will it happen? We dont know. Its as simple as that. -
Is it just me or did Astoria just turn into ground zero? XD

Hehe...I love Leon when he gets going
-
Quote:Leon stood on the rooftop, the sniper all but forgotten. Instead, he gazed out on the incoming horde, a smile broadening on his lip as the cigarette swivelled lazily back and forth.[i]
"I got a birds-eye view of the field up here and err... those demons? They're spawning as far back as the town centre!" Altair reported. "What did we estimate before, two, three hundred? Well, I'm counting dozens of hundreds here, guys, as in over a thousand bogies. Looks like they're not all dead scientists either, demons are spawning all over the place and they're possessing zombies from the cemetery. You know something? I'm starting to think this is bigger than Bathory's bounty. This... this is a planned attack on Moth Cathedral!"
"Now...call me arrogant, but...that looks like my kind of scrap," he muttered to himself, stepping out onto thin air, only to reappear from midair in front of the mass of demons and undead.
"Oi, you fugly chaps over there!" he shouted, eyes gleaming as he grinned impudently at them, katana resting on his right shoulder as he held his palm-up hand to them, before flipping the fingers in a 'bring it' gesture; "As they used to say at school; "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!" -
Currently...stabbing...the god damn...handbook...cos it WONT leve the bloody thing the right bloody size in the bloody character box!
Anyone who can get an image to stay a DECENT size, please tell me! Its hacking me off! -

*goes and gets one*
Here we go;
-
Yeah, oddly enough Leon was supposed to go Rogue when it came out, but...I think walking the knife edge suits him a lot better
slightly Alucardian, yes, a bit like 'Old Red Eyes', the Count Magpyr in Terry Pratchett as well.
I think just the two story parts are easy enough to follow for now. Heading it with 'Moth Cathedral' or 'elsewhere' may help if needs be. -
Leon had taken a moment to light a cigarette, seemingly uncaring of the fighting around the cathedral. He looked up at Murilanthi's shout, while simultaneously punching a charging possessed square in the face, causing the skull to cave in.
"I'll deal with that. You chaps and chapettes miiight just want to check on your boss," he smirked, nodding at the tower where Pious had done, before vanishing in the blink of an eye.
He reappeared on the rooftops at a casual walk, katana blade spinning casually in his right hand.
"Where d'you think you're off to, m'dear?" he called out to the form of the cybernetic-zombie in front of him, blowing a lazy cloud of smoke as he did so.

Fixed again. Lets hope this new hamster last a bit longer >_>

Devices gets a double whammy in Gun Drone and Time Bomb.
I agree with Stone Armour relying way too heavily on Granite (without serious IO investment) Although really what 'kills' Stone for me (as in, I wont play it) is the combo of Granite and Rooted. Rootes, to me, is a horrible power. Stone itself, IMO, should be overhauled, but in Castles words, it something they have to tread real damn careful with.
