Obeyest this commandmant, Altoholic Monkey: Thou shalt not eat banana rum cake whilst watching Shakespeare and then post.

Wait, there's banana rum cake? -
Just for clarification:
Cryptic is the game developer
NCSoft is the publisher
...they are the ones who provided the money for the game to exist. As such they own part of the game and Cryptic is the man behind the curtain running the gears and switches. But NCSoft is the big Wizard...and the big Wizard and its team of lovely men in suits made up the EULA and will send you lovely little notes about it when they think it's been trampled on.
What is it, more than likely, is that they are aware of the inconsistency and are trying to figure out just how to handle it without pissing off a great lot of their customers.
Thus the quandary you see before us:
Doth we place the heathens in irons for creating derivative works of our most blessed City of Heroes and send the artist into martyrdom? Or do we lie quiet and only send threats of action to those we deem the worse offenders.
Aye, theres the rub...my friends.
You suffer the slings and arrow of outrageous fortune...
To allow them to draw or not to draw
That is the NCSoft question
So far it has been done in quiet, with small little request of select few and they have done so publicly and have felt the rage against said machine.
(Forgive my prose I get dramatic late at night, for the moon she does things to me, secret dark things. (See what I mean)) -
Re: Having artwork in the game. No thank you. I'd rather have them work on the issues with the game at hand than simply add in artwork here and there.
Right now on the theater there's a title of a movie that was the winning entry in a contest a way back when. It took them forever to add that title to the marquee. I'd hate to see the flaming that would go on if they decided to add in player artwork in the game without fixing some of the bugs and issues that affect all players of the game.
The #1 suggestion: Update that Fan Art section of the website.
The #2 suggestion is Official Contests.
Those seem to be the most reasonable and easiest to do. I agree with these suggestions the most.
Re avatar size:
80x80 for avatars isn't that big of deal. Work with the space you have. As one of the people who made a tons of avatars, I couldn't give a crap about increasing the size to 100x100. 20 more pixels wont make that much difference, when you're making an avatar. If you make something 100x100 then make it 80x80. No big deal.
As for signatures: No thank you. This form drags along as it is because of its size and that flash header isn't make things any zippier. Adding in sigs on to that isnt exactly going to help matters any. -
Revamp the whole fanart on the website. How long has that gone without any new artwork on it or even screenshots?
Have fan art contests.
Tighten up this forum a bit. NSFW means NSF PG-13 forum. Keep the artwork clean, save the cheesecake stuff for off fourm. -
Thank you..I'm glad to hear it's helping people.

Honestly I really couldn't tell that those were metal wings, they just look like darker feathers or something.
-
At the time there were a lot of references which listed stats and prestige, I simply focused on the salvage recipes.
A revision of the PDFs may be in the future listing the Salvage required for the Empowerment Buffs. -
I like the poses and the background. But the two characters are have lost something in the coloring process. The sketch seemed to have more definition than the final piece. The angel wings feather detail is lost in the coloring and the darker wings, appear to be just a shade darker than the angel ones, I expected them to be more bat wings or at least much darker to reflect the 'Hell' side.
I think the digital coloring overshadows the line work you did in the sketch and is watering down the whole feel of the piece for me. Also the angel's hands look a bit odd, the fingers are a bit too sausage like. -
The files have been moved! Please use the links listed below.

Thank you! -
Hmm well as a WIP sketch, I can see where it's going. But her leg looks like its on backwards, as is her shoe. I'm sure this will be adjusted later on, since this is just the sketch, but the leg odd angle is distracting.

Yeah but I didn't so why did mine get zapped. Btw I lost global channels last night they were up and down so I might and might not be on this channel.
I also plan to chat as often on this channel as I do on my others, which is not really that much. -
Visual poetry my dear Graver that's what this is. This is your best yet!
-
What do you mean by drawing Empathy?
Do you mean:
Healing Aura -- which is a glow cast from the user in a circle.
Heal Other -- which is cast from the fingers and the target is bathed in a green glow for a second and healed.
Absorb Pain -- pain is tak in from the castser (red glow) and exchanged into green glow on the target
Clear Mind -- purple head glow cast on the target
Fortitude -- red head glow cast on the target
Regeneration Aura -- A sea of green ripples from spreading out from the caster
Recovery Aura - A sea of blue ripples from spreading out from the caster
Adreline Boost -- Cast on target -- mid torso of target is covered in green center ring and circling blue dots.
That's the games visual effects but you can adjust that to suit you.
Empathy itself is more of a mind power that could manifest itself as a physical effect.
Healing Aura could just be a glow from hands to hurt target and they are healed. Depends on what character you're trying to draw it for. -
DJ the background and costumes look great and shows the hard work you put into the details.
My only trouble is with the piece is the expressionless faces. It seems as if they're not in in a battle against each other, but simply both daydreaming. Also Cyborg Girl's eyelid is a bit odd on the right eye. -

Personally I'd love to see comic with Jomaro/Gill's pencils and inks with T!M/Verika's coloring! Then a Graver/Gill collabo for the cover...Woo fantastic.

Well, the idea I was working on was based on pencilling and inking is a lot of work for a monthly.
So how about Jomaro pencilling, Tim inking, Graver on colors? And Doug Shuler doing the covers in Poser/Photoshop!
Okay, that would be pretty much the best comic book art ever. It wouldnt even need a story for me to buy it!

Not having T!M on colors is kinda of travisty in my eyes..he's fantastic on his coloring. But I mean we're just thinking up fantasy artist collaborations.
I'd save Doug for the centerfold pages, his work needs that large 2 page space.
Keep Graver on those covers, his work would make you stop at the newstands just to see what's going on. Wait I know Graver can do the creepy villain covers, Doug is great on heroic images!
/em plot

The one on google has a much better quality than youtube.
I saw this this morning and was almost late to work cracking up at it.
"Mc Escher is my MC!" LMAO
(Does anyone know if the background dancer is Donny Osmond, it looks like him) -
Here's is a very short summary of TA bio:
A young warrior in a battle against a large mystical serpent has his legs are severed. Thor appears and dispatches the serpent quickly. He is so impressed with the warriors bravery and skill that offers him the chance to learn the ways of a God. He accepts and during his apprenticeship is sent on many trials, through different places and times. One of his trials drops him into Paragon City where he meets many heroes and joins up with the Legends of Justice. But its not all fun and good times; Loki appears disguised as a member of LoJ, begins to corrupt the warrior and ultimately is the one who turns him into Thors Assassin.
As Thor dies, the warrior is changed into Assassin of Thor and is banished to Hel where he is haunted by the sprits of murdered warriors. AoT plots his vengeance and seduces Lokis daughter (Hel). With the legions of Hel at his command he begins his siege on Asgard and finally takes his place as Lord of Valhalla.

BTW: He's got dark hair...so you might want to stop with the blonde -
Since its been a while, I'll be updating this soon with more general information after I have time to comb the Player Guide section. I do not compile specific build information, as that it accessible from the sticky at the top of this forum.
The link to this thread (which will not be deleted - as per Cuppa) is always listed in the sticky at the top of this forum, just look for my name. -
I got a ginormous thead in the Justice section full of photoshopp'ed avatars for holidays and special events.
...or did Snowlily take care of you already?
If not let me know and I'll whip up something for you. I'll be doing some projects tonight anyway so I can add yours in as distraction break. -

NCSoft screws up royally often when it comes to handling this community -- I am not surprised that they fumbled the ball here as well. When this game has vanished, the artists and artwork, will live on as a tribute to this community and the players of this game.
If the makers of this game cannot realize that fact, then that is their shortsightedness, stupidity and ultimately, their loss.
Gill -- You continue to be the consummate professional that you are. You've proven yourself time and again that you are a valued member of this community and an extremely talented artist. No restriction of one of your pieces is going to erase that fact, ever.
