This is a very good idea, TA. Kinda making me think along the same lines now. 
My impression of the 'Ultimate' heroes is a Fusion style or art. That being said, I've also noticed that all the costumes are fairly streamlined and simple in form and color. They all seem to be younger looking too.

Just curious... are you talking about getting an artwork done this way, or making a new costume in-game?
the 'ultimate' line is probably the best line going out there for just about any comic line, imo. what sets them apart? well, besides basically starting from scratch it is the 'attempt' at making them a tad more real in appearance... this line of thought also can possibly involve a total revamp of the character in question...
how would TA look in an 'ultimate' version? different, to be sure...but how different really depends on his backstory and how much it varies from the original.
...and for the record...nice way to pull for more FanArt

Ultimates uniform should bring out the best and most powerful qualities of your character, just by looking at it you go Damn! That is Thor's Assasin! (and lesser mortals step aside to let greatness go by).
I'm not very good at uniforms but I made a Classic Rack and an Ultimate Rack when my villain hit 50. Gill is going to do the Ultimate Rack incarnation for my piece, while Graver is doing Classic Rack.
You can deviate from the standard uniform as much or as little as you want - like the differences (or lack thereof) between standard and Ultimate Captain America and Ultimate Thor.

Oh and this will involve more fanart later for sure but this is mainly focussing on the costume itself. Unless of course someone wanted to draw out an ultimate TA. I was actually thinking of just letting the next artist I commission go crazy with the idea but thought I would throw it out there.
first step then is to define who ultimate TA is and how, if at all, he differs from normal continuity TA. this would be the first step... this can involve a total revamp of the character should you so choose...
once this is done the question is how such a character would look and perform... for a que...take a peak through the various ultimate lines out there and then compair to the normal continuity characters and that should give you a good idea on the direction to take in regards to his costume itself...~

The main thing about the Ultimate line is that is stream lines the costume. Pull back some of the useless stuff and just make it all around more realistic. I think a big step would be taking away your cape and maybe even your hood.

agreed with the simplified lines...combined with the key elements of the character (staff visor hooded cloak....imo) you would then set out to recreate the character. whether he is still in the apparently powered armor would depend on your view on how important it is to the character.~

I dont think Ultimate does this too often. Sure alot of their costumes are differant, but alot are pretty much the same too. Spideys is the same, Captains is pretty much the same, just kind of more detailed. Even most of the X-mens costumes are pretty much what they've had in the past.
The biggest part of Ultimate is the reimagining of the origin/background/storyline.
Thats all mostly my opinion on it though.
not different altogether....just starting the stories over. some of the characters have gone under some major revisions while others have hardly changed at all. usually when you see people refering to ultimate this or that, as it refers to a marvel character, they are talking about the Ultimate line....~

Ok so bottom line...
There is no real quality to a Ultimate uniform. Nothing that wouldn't be just another outfit or nothing that would scream Ultimate?
Hmmm maybe when they bring out elec/elec tanks or scrappers then I will make a new character. But in the end I guess it's just a costume change for a slot.
Any more idea's on what an "Ultimate TA" would look like then?

Man I wish my computer was still working so I could test some stuff out for ya. Thinking about putting it on my mom's computer......hrrmmmmm
So I have seen a few things going around and I am aware of the "Ultimate heroes" in comics so I was thinking about doing a Ultimate TA.
Thing is I have no clue how to go about making a Ultimate uniform for TA. What would define it as "Ultimate"?
