  1. looks like some people were "productive"

Made two new toons - 50 now
Leveled up a 46 to 50... gone are the days of its job >_>
Made another toon but only got to 44, but he is fun to play
Did a few TFs for some reason, one of being MoKTF on another toon
My poor villians didn't get any love, but then again they are 50 and I didn't want to make a new one

It was pretty fun and grueling - little burnt out on CoH now...

I will provide you the -location and how to - to submit your screenshot.

  3. Date: Day, Month Date (Friday, October 16)
Time: Time & Time Zone (9:00 pm Eastern)
Location: Location to Meet, Server (Pocket D, Virtue Server)
Host: Host Global on Toon Name (@Arkyaeon on Arkyaeon)

This event will consist of 3 rounds. An Elimination, Semi-Finals & Finals Round.
    • Elimination Round: Three 3-vs-3 Swiss Pointed Rounds
    • Semi-Finals: 3-vs-3 Double Elimination
    • Finals: 1v1v1 Free For All
(See the section entitled “Additional Details” for more information.)

    EVENT RULES

    • Please Note: that the Arena terminal can be accessed via Menu -- Thus I don't really care where you are located. I will be using the Arena chat which can be seen by any player currently on the server and as long as you follow it you SHOULD know what to do. However, it is MUCH easier to communicate when you are in the same location as I (pocket d) along with a whole bunch of other stuff...
    • This is a SHW Event. Levels 47-50 only.
    • In the event of an odd number of players (not divisible by 3), random player(s) will take a turn receiving a PASS. No player will be allowed more then 1 PASS.
    • All matches will be 10 minutes in length.
    • All matches are required to leave Diminishing Returns enabled. This means that the "No Diminishing Returns" option is not to be selected. // simplified: DR is on...
    • All matches are required to have Travel Suppression disabled. This means that the "No Travel Suppression" option is to be selected.
    • All matches are required to have Heal Decay disabled. This means that the “No Heal Decay” option will be selected. // Yes, any kind of heal will hit for max all the time...
    • Teams may agree on the map of their choosing. If both parties can not agree on what map is to be used, then the map will be randomly selected by the arena system. No map resets will be permitted, including for cage matches.
    • One Reset is permitted for player disconnect within the first 90 seconds of a match. Any disconnects after the first 90 seconds (or a second disconnect) will result in the team having to play shorthanded.
    • Spawn camping is not permitted. If spawn camping is reported, the match will be repeated AFTER the Round Robin segment of the tournament has completed WITH the event host present. If an event host observes a team spawn camping they will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.
    • Only inspirations and temp powers bought from the arena store are permitted. SoW's (Strength of Wills), present inspirations, and/or base buffs are not permitted. Any player is subject to random checks by the event host. Refusal to accept the trade or team requests by the event host will be grounds for immediate disqualification.
    • Please be respectful to your fellow players by refraining from "trash talk". A player may be disqualified at the event host's discretion.
    • Please try to arrive at least FIFTEEN minutes early to register for this event. // Whos idea was this again??

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS

    The Elimination
    • The Elimination Round will consist of three 3-vs-3 matches.
    • Players will be randomly assigned to a team by the event host.
    • Players will be reassigned to a new team between each match.
    • Matches will be scored based on a Swiss Style Point System. 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie/draw, 0 points for a loss. If a team forfeits (or refuses to fight their opponent) the forfeiting team will recieve 0 points, while the remaining team will receive 2 points for a win.
    • The players with the 9 top scores will pass to The Semi-Finals round. In the event of an uneven number of players (not divisible by 3) the players with the lowest score(s) will be eliminated in a free-for-all match.

    The Semi-Finals // read carefully.....
    • The Semi-Finals round will consist of a 3-vs-3 Double Elimination Tournament. Players will participate in matches until they have 2 defeats.
    • Teams will be selected in a “Kickball” fashion. Team captains will be randomly chosen by the event host. Each team captain will then take turns selecting their teammates. You will keep this team for the entire Semi-Finals round!
    • The players on the last remaining team will continue to the Finals round.

    The Finals
    • The last three players will compete against each other in a 1v1v1 match.
    • The player with the highest score will be the event champion.

*** The winner will receive a Knives of Artemis costume code from Paragon Studios ***

PvPEC, maybe a description of what Gladiator fights are?

    [/ QUOTE ]

heh kk - Directly from the Arena:
    [ QUOTE ]
Gladiator - This is our most unique game. The Gladiator match takes your created team of Gladiators and puts them to the ultimate test of strength against a rival player's Gladiators. The controls work similar to controlling a Mastermind's minions. Combat is between Gladiators only; their owners cannot participate in combat aside from controlling their Gladiators. To create your team of Gladiators, click on any Battle Terminal, and click the 'My Gladiators' button. Select any combination of Gladiators you wish to use. Take note though, each Gladiator has a point cost and your Gladiator team cannot exceed 2000 points. Further, you cannot use more than three of the same Gladiator type for one team, so choose carefully!

Team Gladiator - A team-based Gladiator match. More people equals more mayhem!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Further information:
-- You unlock gladiators by earning badges which unlock the gladiator badges which allow you to use those units in battle during a gladiator match.

-- There are NO level restrictions, but keep in mind a character that is higher level and has played more game content will have more access to different gladiators.
  8. heh I willing admit the broadcasts are annoying ... but its freaking broadcast!! I find the SG recruiting stuff more annoying than what you describe. In general however, what bugs me the most is the damn " lvl 1 ___ lf AE" (several variations of this!). Yes there are a bunch of new players and that fact doesn't bug me that much -- if someone ask a question then I'll answer it -- though I see where someone would not like that. SPAMing is a no no, can't stand it, its an auto g-ignore for me.

I do think the Local chat should be used more instead of broadcast since the majority of the people are in the AE building in range of the chat or at the Trainer, in which case the are most likely going to be heading back into the AE building.

But if you are that disturbed by the "newbness" of broadcast - turn it off and hope CC people use Request or just move broadcast to its own tab. Better yet as most people have already stated -- don't go to the zone, if it lags you out, overwhelms your chat, or you just don't like the low level intellect vibe of the zone. There are plenty of "quiet" zones that have everything your need almost.

About the AT tells and stuff - its always going to happen - >> Search comment will fix issues. Then again there are lots of folks that don't read it. Then you can gripe at them for not only stereotyping but not reading as well heh.

** Note the the OP -- if you have only played a Kin to 31 and you are dissing it ... wow. Firstly you are missing 2 key powers which make the set. Look at the buffs as a whole: +dmg, +movement, +rech, +recov, +resist, Status Protection, an AoE heal and +end powers that can't be matched by any other set for what they do and how fast they do it. (combat of course) ... Also did I mention it debuffs at the same time?! Kins are awesome in my opinion and are a great addition to practically any team.

** DA is useful for some serious street sweeping -- it gets you all sorts of goodies hehe

  14. the store page has video of the emotes

I must say the emote costume change stuff is pretty awesome ... much better than I expected... need to work while flying or hovering though

The power is cool - much more useful than self destruct I would say hehe

The costume pieces are great I do wish there were some more options for the details of a selected piece but all in all the set is enjoyable...

Thanks - Looking forward to the packs to come in the future
