  1. Just a reminder folks, this Wednesday at 8pm we'll be playing on Test. Make sure to copy your characters over in plenty of time!

Archery does not do that great damage

    [/ QUOTE ]...before RoA.

Or Blazing Arrow, which does awesome ST damage for a non-snipe.

Might bring my stormie next time: payback for those stacked Snow Storms!

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Glad you enjoyed yourselves guys, thanks for coming. I had a great time. Duo teams make for very tight fights.

We can play on Test next time (next week?) if you like. I'm fine with that.
  4. You're welcome to join us with an exemped toon. To keep things fair you're only allowed to use 8 inspirations in a fight.

We probably could move the event to Test some time, I don't see why not.
  5. Yep level 5, see ya later.
  6. See you all tonight at 8pm! I'd like try for some team or duo games to mix things up this week.
  7. Bring Frosty if you want to! I'm bringing Browbeat again this week

Still level 5. I have a couple more alts to try out myself.

    Dark blast?

Dark Blast has garnered a reputation as being one of the blasting sets with the least damage output, which is why many folks don't take it for Corruptors.

Whether there's any truth in that rumour, I don't know. I've not used the powerset myself.
  9. (Oh my god! I can post again!)

I'm up for another meeting - Wednesday 8pm - if folks are interested and free.
  10. Last night was a lot of fun, though we did get plagued by arena bugs. Hopefully just the high traffic in Pocket D due to Valentine's, hopefully not a side-product fo the latest live patch.

That final battle was the best of the night, the Domination match with 4 Corruptors and 1 Scrapper. Very heated combat and on a good map to boot!

My Mind/FF controller seemed very strong, but was also a bit boring to play (even with a name like Think Tank Pink and that costume... that costume...) compared to others. Danger Baby was very strong though, and fun. I missed using Browbeat, will have to bring her back for next time.
  11. I was just about to make a similar announcement - except I'm in PD1, hehe.

    *promptly switches to PD2*
  12. Hey, why not stick with what works?
  13. I'm looking forward to more PvP fun and games. Tomorrow night at 8pm!

I'm eager to see what alts people bring along this week
  14. Incorrect, Posi said it's a set he would like to do, which is not the same thing.

    Mind/FF

It's an unusal combo for sure.

As far as your build is concerned, I would personally swap TK with Force Bolt. Force Bolt is incredibly useful in the early levels for soft control and filling your attack chain and I'd probaly move it earlier than lvl 12 if I could! Besides, TK will just kill your endurance pre-Stamina.

Also, Levitate is an excellent control and great single target damage with containment. It's definitely worth getting earlier if you can.

I'd recommend slotting Terrify for damage, not fear duration. It's going to be your best AoE damage, especially with containment. The standard duration of Terrify is pretty fine as is. I'd go for 2 Acc-2 Dam-2 Rech or 2 Acc-3 Dam-1 Rech. Replace Recharge with Fear duration if you prefer.
  16. Yep it will remain at level 5 for the time being, there's still a lot to try out at this level.

As Hammerfall said, you're welcome to join and exemp down (we did this a few times last night ourselves). 8 insps is the magic number - and is quite tricky to ration out over a 10 minute match!
  17. You're mroe than welcome to join us.

We never tested out a bubbler last night, but I bet PFF will be as handy as Force Bolt is annoying

I'm free next Wednesday night, so how about another rumble 8pm next week?
  18. Yes the stalker is an entirely different animal at level 5. They still get hide which is one of the best defences and also basically a damage boost (with the free critical hit on their first attack), but in sustained fights they run into trouble. I maintain that in larger numbers and in team games, stalkers' chances will greatly improve.

Just how mean are toggle debuffs? I admit I was merciless with my use of Snowstorm early in the evening (one of my favourite moments in the whole night was kiting against B_M's brute, keeping him at bay with SS and Gale while he continually advanced on me), but got my come-uppance when the Darkest Night and Rad Infection showed up later!

Gah, was going to type more but I'm gonna be late now!
  19. Yes, that was fun muchly. Thanks for coming along guys.

I'm all for doing this again real soon, possibly as a weekly or bi-weekly thing.

Before I put anything in stone, a quick poll:

Anyone have trouble with doing this regularly on Wednesdays? Would you like to attend, but have other commitments then?

Also, is 7pm too early a start?
  20. Anything up to level 9 I have absolutely no problem with. At level 10 the inspiration tray expands again, which makes things harder to keep fair. Does that help you at all?
  21. I would think so, yes.

The problem is with the recharge and damage caps, any more than 4 Kineticists on a team is redundant. Radiation Emission is different because it provides a wider range of buffs and debuffs, which don't cap out unless you have 6 or more of them.

4 Kins and 4 Brutes would be a mighty combo.
  22. Just a reminder folks, this is still going ahead tomorrow night!

    I'm looking forward to it.
  23. Yeah I think it's definite now.

If folks can't make next Wednesday for whatever reason, I'll host another session at a different time/place.
  24. I'd prefer if everyone brought a (roughly) lvl 5 toon so that inspirations are limited to more or less the right number. Personally, I have a level 6 toon I was plannning on bringing along to this one, so I won't be too strict with the level limit

Blind_Minotaur, I posted in an earlier post about the rules I was intending. I'll repost them here:
<ul type="square">[*]The place: Pocket D Arena (Heros or Villains welcome)[*]The server: Union[*]The match: Battle royals or team battle royals[*]The weight: Level 1-5[*]Ground rules: No ground rules[*]The date: Wednesday 7th February[*]The time: 7pm GMT[/list]
I figure we can try a few match types. The evening will start with a free-for-all battle royal definitely, but a team or duo battle royal sounds fun too.
  25. Yay, more opponents

How does next Wednesday (the 7th February) at 7pm on the Union server sound to everyone?

If you'd rather play on the Test server or on a different date or time, speak up please.
