Wow. :/ Well, I certainly hope that the police and any future folk dealing with this will make sure that you're financially covered for the injuries and bike anyway!
*hugs*
>_> Waaaait a minute, what perfect timing, getting into an accident right when school is starting? -
Quote:It's an emote pack. Just like the other packs which contain nothing but costumery and an emote and a very-very limited power. I don't care if they're packing them up like this now, I don't need anything to have a power in order to enjoy the bits collected in it.I'm still not understanding this. I've watched the video 3 times and do not see anything practical about this. Unless the dancing is a power which can turn mobs of enemies into Thriller zombies, not that interested in it.
Though I am a completest and have issues, I probably will still get this just to support the game. -
@Shade...
Yes. Yes they are putting a price tag on that stuff that those people who work at Paragon actually DO all day.
Something wrong with that? Seriously?
If you don't want the emotes included in this pack, don't buy it. Pretty simple. If you just don't want to PAY for it? Don't buy it. Pretty simple. But seriously, don't go saying that the people who work at paragon don't "focus on making people pay for everything" - it's a BUSINESS. That's what businesses DO. Just because we've had such a terrific bunch of FREE STUFF (all 6 years worth of Issues to name JUST A FEW) doesn't mean that their company is interested in giving everything away.
Non-game breaking items like these are PERFECT for pay-as-you-like items. Not so perfect are things like "entire zones of content" or "contact trees you can only get by buying" (and I'm not talking about the EXPANSION set here, as it was long overdue to have a product ON THE SHELVES somewhere). Lots of other games use that very thing, "oh the game's free per month but if you WANT to play, you're going to have to buy this and that and the other thing.
Not so, here. If you want to play, you pay your fees. If you want extra doodads, costumes and such that simply don't impact the way the game is played... then these packs offer a nice extra touch. -
Quote:Recreating copyrighted characters from other companies is strictly against the EULA of this game, and may get your characters genericed.hello fellow coh/cov players im currently playing as a MM and was wondering if anybody knows a sites that have create a hero of games like i saw a youtube of marvel characters was wondering if anybody knows any sites out there like this
Recreating copyrighted characters *anywhere* is in fact against general copyright laws. That's why several "hero builder" games online had to stop producing their games, because Marvel lawyers got angry with them.
So... no. If there are, that's up to you what you make of them, but no. Not in COH, as it's strictly against the rules.
There are, I know where they are, but... if you're just going to use em to recreate things other people own? No. If you somehow meant "I want to create my city of heroes character in an offline game" ... google is your friend. -
*Yes!* Excellent! Ever since he got that nifty tablet thing his art's improved by leaps and bounds, and I think working where he is now has brought his storytelling to another whole level of awesome. That's just marvelous

Gamestop has them, sometimes. That sucks about your cards

Quote:Me too. Seriously. There's not much I enjoy more than starting out. Figuring out what is and isn't going to work for me for any given character.I, personally, have always loved the lowbie game. I think some of the struggling in Praetoria may have to do with the fact that people rush through that period so quickly that they've forgotten how to actually play at that level any more.
Praetoria is a kick in the pants to a lot of people who've decided that 1-20 is "a grind" (LOL a grind that if you team you can literally walk through it in ONE long play session). You are meant to actually READ the text, ENJOY the story. Not just blast through everything in sight.
After you've got 4 or 5 Praetorians under your belt, running through both Resistance and Loyalist arcs, I can see skipping through bits. But... The stories are THAT good, that I wouldn't skip it for the world. -
All things in good time, Rooftop. The playerbase has been astonishingly stable over the last 6 years - and frankly it's been 2 weeks and the servers are STILL packed. That's a good sign for every part of this game. Older players coming back on board, new players coming to experience it for the first time.
The renovation of zones isn't as cut and dried as you might want it to be. Imagine if you will, they "redo" Kings Row.
What happens to the mission doors that *are still in use with characters that happen to be offline* there? It happened that way in Faultline - remember when the old SG portal led into the donut shop?
I don't think that the new stuff has in any way "split the player base" up any further than it already was - COV was never really separate for most folks I know, certainly not for me.
I don't think that comparing the very few, very good zones we've got, with the disaster of EQ's spread... Plus, by the time EQ had that kind of spread, they also had released it's very own competition in EQ2. COH on the other hand has been around and continues to be the 'safe haven' for players who leave and then realize that the new shiny they've been suckered into for a couple months isn't NEARLY as good as they wanted it to be. After all, COH is a very, very fun game, and set a high bar in many ways for other games to compete with.
So far as I know, none have really succeeded in the same way as here.
But I agree: optimization, new textures and the like are needed badly on both sides of the game. I'm pretty sure they're on their way, but it's certainly not a 'let's just drop all this stuff new' because of the existing issues.
When the Auction Houses went up - recall they have those spare doors in some spots? Because they couldn't remove them, they were mission doors that may still have been tied to player access. Same thing with the AE buildings - some mobs still simply moved straight into them, because their pathing hadn't been thought out.
So... not so easy. Needed? Yes. But I think we REALLY needed Praetoria - something actually NEW, something completely unlike what's been in the game, for the first time in ages. -

Well, though I seriously doubt they'd ever heard of this drink (since it is NOT outside of europe) they do already have a long history of parody ads and locations.
InFront steakhouse = Outback Steakhouse
Major Flanders = Colonel Sanders Fried Chicken
Junk Depot = Radio Shack
many others. -
following intently. Because, well, you know. Cole Bless us!

You must not have read many of Steelclaw's other posts.
He's well known for being remarkably funny. Most of the things he posts are *not serious in any way*. So.... it's a joke son. Mostly. I'm sure he finds ways to amuse himself that others would have head-explody. but that's why we love him. -
Honestly I didn't even know what the dates were, apparently. I guess it's a good thing I didn't try moving anyone recently then. :/

I still know plenty of people who have yet to even BUY GR, wouldn't it make more sense to have it on... you know, longer? Hm.
-
Quote:No, you misread. Go back and read again. Nowhere does he say "fired from the staff". He says "removed from their position" and placed full time on THIS.Wait, so... you're enjoying GR, but you want whoever was in charge of it to be fired? Sir, you make no sense.
And there is no CoH2.
In other words, "promote them". -
Wait they already turned off transfers? .... >_> well crap, I was thinking it was going to be for longer than this.

Buying Going Rogue in any version doesn't "also give you" the other games - they're all one game if you already have an account to apply the code to. It won't give you "extras". To those who don't already HAVE a coh/cov account, that's what that does for THEM.
The expansion 'complete collection' is what includes some goodies like the month time, and such. It's worth having either way. The US version is what you want in either case, so I'd say, hit the complete collection NA, and come join us... -
I'm definitely hoping that the rest of the City gets an overhaul. It's something that's been needed for quite some time - particularly blue-side. Not so much that the stories are bad, but they're just a bit plain compared to even COV's rich storytelling. That, and I'm TIRED of running through the entire City to get a phone number.
I actually would not mind at all if they simply shut down portions of the map - "sorry you cannot go to Kings Row here are some default missions while you wait" and 'fix' them. Probably can't happen due to how many people would still be ON those maps, but hey. I wouldn't have any trouble with not being allowed to head somewhere if I knew that the end result would be like this. -
