Quote:And this is why the thing has point defence turrets and an automated defence force.A laser that big can't move as fast or be as flexible as a flying person

What, you think I'm mad? Give my evil intellect some credit, fleshling.
Also, how the hells are you breathing in a vacuum? -
Oooh, big shiny targets!
I mean...target. Human...yes...
*Cough*
FIRE! -
Yeah, its only the Gargoyles (tier 2) that I hate with a passion. I wouldn't mind, y'know, if they were about half, 2/3 quieter than they are atm.

I remember she kept trying to run away and Nightwalker stepped on her in Dwarf form once.
That was amusing

Quote:That's serious ammounts of failage and lamePeople with South American IP addresses are blocked from the PlayNC store entirely. Even as a North American player, you would still be unable to buy Booster Packs if you moved to South America, as your IP would be blocked from the store.
It's kind of the same way as how we Europeans always get defaulted to EU versions of the PlayNC sites, only in the case of South American players, they don't have ANY option to switch to the NA store. As I said - I have friends who've had this problem, and there was no "good" solution that any of us could come up with.
/Signed, thats just down right wrong. -
Quote:I'd say Deadpool, myself...but otherwise I agreeHonestly mate? That's totally NOT how she comes across when you play her. There've been plenty of times where she's made claims of being able to take pretty much anyone.
Then there's her Wolverine level regen, making her able to regenerate from pretty much ANY injury anyone cares to mention, right down to decapitation.
Not that there's a problem with ANY of that. There isn't, none whatsoever. Just pointing out that you DO do the same as everyone else.
I think Omy may be refering to her Strength levels, however, not her Defence abilities.

Quote:"When it reaches a sufficient level, there is next to no difference between technology and magic."Is it then fair to demand that Billy's player find a way to make Billy more powerful than Jimmy, to justify the Billy's status as a true Incarnate? Or in this case, is Jimmy's player at fault for "misusing" the incarnate system? Or, are we going to establish that the much-vaunted power of the Incarnates is nothing more than can be achieved through extra training or a technology upgrade?
Horribly paraphrased quote aside, who's to say that Incarnates can't be technology related? If Alpha can up against the likes of Statesman or Recluse and walk away standing, then surely the technolgy he used is on par or superior to that of an Incarnate? What, then, is the difference? If any?
As for the justifcation, does there have to be any uber advanced reason for it? Other than 'it happens'? A great example is perhaps the very paragon of an 'Incarnate' like character, Superman. And yet he can and has been beaten by Batman, a man with nothing but his own natural talent and wits (and a very deep wallet, granted)
People (in general, sweeping statement) still seem to think that 'Incarnate' is like the misconception about Epic ATs somehow being 'Better' ATs. Incarnate classified Heroes and Villains may well be actual Incarnates, OR they may simply have the means to equal or best Incarnates, putting them on the same level. -
Smaller images for the forums, if possible?
That said, lookin' good =] -
Bonus toHit as well as damage versus True Undead? Since, y'know, thats what its meant to be killing?

Quote:Because they never did.I'd tend to agree, I'm just wondering why anyone believed them when they said it'd be out before Thanksgiving. Many years they've held off until after the holiday before this one, it wasn't sane for them to promise different this time.
Think about it people, when has a big CoX release _ever_ been in time for your vacation/long weekend?
They said they were hoping and aiming to get it out before thanksgiving if humanly possible.
It wasn't, due to bugs that they weren't happy with going Live. So it's coming out after.
People have got a serious case of mis-reading and possible entitlement issues, here. -
Quote:I'm sorry? I can't hear you over the sound of my orbital railgun exterminating anyone who disagrees with my benevolent new world order;Work? I wouldn't bother going to work with super powers. Hell, I'd just wipe out the world's military power and rule as a sexy dictator!

Bow down, currs! -
Work put on hold until after the 1st of December, while the work work I need to get done for Uni is done. Got eight days and counting to do an 11 second animation, and I'm only just dope sheeting the damn thing...
Hoo boy. Deadlines. Love 'em

And, judging from what I can make out of the arguement, your basically saying something along the lines of "The Devs should have had omniescence to see that this was coming and fixed it instantly, if not sooner."
Mistakes happen. It could have probably been a lot worse. Like 'Game opens and completely breaks' level of worse. If it hadn't been US thanksgiving, it probably would have been fixed a lot sooner. But, hey, it happens. And usually theres naff all that can be done except working on fixing it.
Which is what Id assume is happening right now. -

Quote:Aye. Just because he 'cant do that' in game doesnt stop my Tanker from being great with computers, or using a minor EMP on robots exlectronics. Small stuff like that. It's not odd of you, I'm not keen on overpowered characters either. However, there is a big difference between being overpowered and having abilities that don't fit the game engine. Still, I think that issue has been debated to death on this forum already.
And he's never one to claim to be able to one shot archvillains.
Once I get him levelled back up to 50, however, I'd be restoring his right to laugh off pretty much any AV happily

Theres also NO other set in the game that causes you to be defeated by the common street curb or low step.
"Noooooo, curse you six inch high pavement! Now my nemesis can escape to safety, while I desperately try and find a 4 inch high pavement that I can actually step up onto!"
Being forced to take teleport to even navigate, and having jump disabled? Major lame. No other set forces you into that situtation. -

Quote:Yes, and thats called BAD RP, specifically 'God-moding the gameverse'.Seeing as how some of those villains you killed, come back and say hi later, like Frostfire becoming a hero, so obviously you didn't kill him.
Yet there people are, RPing they killed him
Killed Hero One in the Lady Grey TF, yet there he is in i19, specifically said he wasn't.
And tell me when you've ever seen a hostage held at gun point, in this game? Where they're in such a position that the easier body shot isn't available
Unless you're RPing in a closed nit group and not openly with others (ie...sticking within the same 8 people)...saying you killed them, and didn't just incapacitate the enemy doesn't make sense.
You think the Hellions really have millions of members?
-
Alpha's merely going to be plugging in more high-end components, taking and adapting whatever he damn well wants from the Praetorians after stampi- ok, after Omega 1 has stamped their faces in with his size 32 metal boot. The enemy is now better and bigger; Alpha will respond with better and more destructive weaponary.
Science wise? Nightwalker is going to be edging closer to his 'higher evolution' and 'salvation', likely now aided by one Umbral Tombstrider
Others I have yet to work out. But ones like Vix are going to be fun. I have plans for that girl
