CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS
When: Saturday Feb 20th 9pm est
Where: Pocket D
This event will be a Single Elimination team PvP Tournament with a Unique twist
This Event will have a very special VIP Guest..... City of Heroes very own.... Niviene!! She will be there not just as a guest host, but will be taking part in the PVP itself!!!
ALL AT's are invited
All Teams will be selected by Event Hosts ONLY no exceptions
Teams will register at least 15 mins before event start time
Minimum of 4 teams will be needed to start the tournament
EVENT RULES:
- This is a SHW Event. Levels 47-50 only.
- All matches will be 15 minutes in length.
- All matches are required to leave Diminishing Returns enabled.
- All matches are required to have Travel Suppression disabled.
- All matches are required to have Heal Decay disabled.
- Small inspirations only must be selected in the options menu.
- Maps will be set to random only. No map resets will be permitted, except for the monkey cage.
- One Reset is permitted for player disconnect within the first 90 seconds of a match. Any disconnects after the first 90 seconds (or a second disconnect) will result in the team having to play shorthanded.
- If a match ends in a tie before going to Sudden Death (Sudden Death kills will NOT count) the teams will leave the match and the event hosts will pick 1 representative from each team. These 2 will then fight a 1v1 10 minute match to determine the winner. The rules will be the same as the tournament.
- Spawn camping is not permitted. If spawn camping if observed the team in question will be disqualified as long as all event hosts agree.
- Only tier1 inspirations and temp powers bought from the arena store are permitted. SoW's (Strength of Wills), present inspirations, and/or base buffs are not permitted. Any player is subject to random checks by the event hosts. Refusal to accept the trade or team requests by the event hosts will be grounds for immediate disqualification.
- You may NOT switch toons. The toon you start with is the toon you use Throughout the event.
- All Prizes are BLUE SIDE ONLY
- Please be respectful to your fellow players by refraining from "trash talk". Trash talking in broadcast or local chat, can and will get you disqualified.
HOW ITS GONNA WORK:
- Event host will be choosing random teams of 8v8 For Example:
Team A 8 Players vs Team B 8 Players
Team C 8 Players vs Team D 8 players - The WINNING TEAM then is split by random selection by event hosts into 4v4 teams:
Team A 4 Players vs Team A 4 Players
Team C 4 Players vs Team C 4 Players - The WINNING TEAM then is split by random selection by event hosts into 2v2 teams:
Team A 2 Players vs Team A 2 Players
Team C 2 Players vs Team C 2 Players
This will give us 4 FINALISTS - The FINALISTS will then be paired off by random selection by event hosts into 1v1 teams:
Team A 1 Player vs Team B 1 Player
Team C 1 Player vs Team D 1 Player
This will give us our TOP 2 - These 2 will then fight a 1v1 for the Ultimate winner to be crowned.
PRIZES:
4 FINALISTS: 150million influence each
2nd PLACE: 125million Influence 2 - LotG 7.5% Recharge Speed
1st PLACE: 250million Influence 3 - LotG 7.5% Recharge Speed

Im just wondering, when Going Rogue goes live, am I going to have to buy a different version for each acct I have?
I dont remember having to do that with CoV, But back then, I think I only had 3-4 accts. If this is correct that i DO have to purchase Rogue for each acct, I will be taking donation from all the friendly heroes of Champion

t Energizing, I call it stupid because I feel it is stupid to have to completely redo your build if you want to swap out a single power or a few slots. I think it is stupid to only be able to take 10 enhancements out of a build per respec, given at 50 you can have well over 70 slotted. I think it is stupid that if you make a mistake somewhere you have to go back and redo all your slotting and power selections all the way back to right when you made the mistake.
It's an awkward, clumsy and stupid system. -

fantastic to see so many of the "bigger names" out there jumping on board with this. I had hoped for this type of response. Really glad to see everyone putting personal issues aside to take part in something I myself think is very special for Champion server. Thank you all, and lets continue to see people jump in on this!!!
