The problem is you tried to make the date the very same day as Free Comic Book Day.

That is an inappropriate amount of awesome. Free comics and pizzelles. The world would explode in fiery joy.

A few things you need to know:

Smoke and Ele are not hosting, although they will be there for the hugtackling.

The event will be at Kad's house. Bring a helmet. (The address will be given only to people who inform me of their intent to participate, and only by e-mail)

We're having a cookout. If you are a vegetarian, PLEASE let us know immediately.

We need your donations! If we get $10 per person, then we will definitely have enough noms to go around.

Feel free to bring a tray! If you make the world's best cookies (you don't >=( ), brownies, pies, cakes, pizzelles (<3 Meg), or anything else, bring it! We'd be happy to have it! Just be sure to let me know what you're bringing so we don't have 80 pies.

Any REAL MAN idea that would put LJ or Stamp in the hospital is automatically banned.

We are looking at hosting Justice Con this summer, around July or August. No more cold winter travelling for you! Once upon a time, in the little town of Justice, there lived a young woman named Fanny. She opened a cookie shop, and her goods were delicious and much enjoyed, so her business became very popular almost immediately. Everything was going well, until about six months after she came to the town, when a space station fell from the sky and crashed not far from her little shop.

After the dust had cleared and the earth-shattering noise had subsided, Fanny swore she heard the sound of laughing - and sure enough, when she looked toward the wreckage, a young man was standing amidst it all, clearly amused by what he had just done. She turned to one of her regular customers (who seemed strangely calm, as if this happened often) and asked, "Who is that young man, and why did he just do that?"

The woman she had asked smiled up at her and said, "That is Kadmon, the God of Madness, the Prince of Lues... and he is the reason why we can't have nice things."

"Well," Fanny said, "he very nearly destroyed my shop, and this, I will not stand for. He shall have a stern talking-to." And so she marched off to address the young man, and she never could have foreseen what this meeting would lead to.

They hit it off almost immediately, and over the next few years, their friendship saw them through many ups and downs. Kadmon was there for Fanny as her life hit a several-year rough patch, and he was there when she thought it couldn't get any worse and was proved wrong, always offering a joke and a smile. At first she didn't really realize how important he had been, standing in the background, always willing to listen whenever she needed to speak.

But the time came when life had really turned sour for young Fanny, and she found herself without a home. Kadmon promised he would see what he could do, and, (with a little help from Smoke and Ele), he found her a beautiful home with a mountain view. She loved it, and shortly after moving in, she realized that she loved him. She couldn't shelve those feelings no matter how hard she tried, for there was nothing to take their place.

Several months passed and she kept this silent for fear of being rejected, until Valentine's Day, when the atmosphere of love and giddiness depressed her and she told him everything that she had felt. He said he needed time to think and six days later, she got the answer she had been hoping for.

And so they spent ten beautiful months together, until the last day of that horrible decade, when Kadmon announced that he wanted to marry her, and she accepted. The next decade would begin with a promise, and everyone would forever remember that night as the night it rained space stations and cookies from the heavens.

Formerly known as The 2nd Annual Justice Server Thanksgiving Meet & Greet, we decided that was far too long and we were too lazy to say it and everyone else was like, "lol TLDL" (Too Long Didn't Listen).

Yayayay it's that time again!

I have a fullsize bed and a couch available for guests. I do share the house with a family and another person (The 2nd floor is my apartment), so volume rules apply after 10pm. I also live in very close proximity to Kadmon so don't be alarmed if you wake up to the sound of space stations crashing/things catching fire when they really shouldn't/something awesome happening.

I will be supplying pumpkin cream pies and the official Justice Cookie Cake. Sugar cookies will also be baked for our guests with peanut allergies.

Another issue comes to mind... I did not se a fix for the TF-ending bug in today's patch notes. I am fully aware that this will make the STF impossible to complete with scrappers. However, cancelling is out of the question and the event is too soon to make another event, so lets call it a victory once the Fab 4 are defeated, shall we?

Critical oversight on my part... I forgot to say where we're meeting! Let's gather on the boat in Independence Port about 15 minutes before kick-off, so we have time to fill teams. Anyone who shows up right as the event starts without prior notice will not be included. My global handle is @Fanny

Event begins at 8PM Eastern/5PM Pacific

Imagine, if you will, a night where everyone gathers around on their favorite scrappers, has a few drinks, shares a few laughs, and does some incredibly stupid/awesome things.

I'd like to introduce you to an idea I had around the time people started doing Tanker Tuesday - Every AT has its potential to be fantastic - it's the way the game is designed. I've always loved how you can make absolutely any build, ever, and get something out of it. But enough about that, we're going to focus on scrappers.

A few notes on Scrapper Night:

- This is not an XP event. All events are geared toward level 50s. If you really, really want to bring someone lower than 50, go ahead, but you are responsible for your own SKing. And you're going to die. A lot. That's a given. Which brings me to my next point...

- You are going to die. Probably enough to become debt capped. But it's no fun until someone gets used as veng bait. If you don't like dying, then you really shouldn't join an event that wants everyone to be batpoop crazy.

- There are no prizes. Well, unless someone volunteers a prize for a specific goal during a specific night. I, personally, will not be handing out prizes. This is a weekly event and that would be crazy. The real prize is accomplishment.


I thought about what would be a suitably epic first event, and after some input, ideas, and questions from friends, I decided on a Statesman Task Force.

After much consideration of all the TFs (I have not done the 5th yet, so I'm not sure if it's hard for 8 scrappers to do), I decided STF was the most difficult. We'll be playing by MoSTF rules - no temps (ANYONE can beat the STF with 8 shivans), without actually trying to get MoSTF. Unless, of course, your team wants to. If you get the badge, you win +2 internets. Just keep in mind that this is not a serious event, and is all in good fun.

I am starting off with 2 teams, so if you want in, please PM me with your scrapper name, type, and which team you want to be on. If you are the first to sign up for a particular team, then you are expected to lead it, or find someone who will.

Should we have problems filling teams with 8, we will start pulling from the general populace, via globals. To avoid this, I'm capping at 4 teams. Have your friends sign up!
