MMs have too much luggage and thus come across as too high of maintenance for my own personal taste. In terms of ATs, I would likely go with a brute. Just about any SS/* works. I do rather like my Dark/elec though. While not one to really farm, Ill/rad is about as good an all-purpose that you will find.

It does have Heat Loss though.
But is 38% def needed? -
I really wished stuff like rested exp worked in AE. It would make the process of leveling in AE easier. I was going to use a character to level via AE until that info clicked in my head.

Quote:I'll add the plot point with the woman was underdeveloped and Sly felt like a weak point in the movie. It was 2.5/3 star at best. It has so much potential I can see them going back to it hoping it all clicks even just one time. For a gritty violent move, The Horseman I thought was better although I like Taken better for a movie with a similar plot, but with less gritty violence. For a similar plot line to Expendables with lots of fighting and violence, 13 Assassins was a much better film.Maybe the second one can be good. Don't get me wrong...it wasn't a horrible movie and I'm glad I watched it, but for all the star power and the attempt to make an 80s-style action movie, there were just no memorable lines in the whole movie.
Jet Li was awesome (he typically is) but the whole subplot (and the ending) with Dolph Lundgren's character really drove a stake into this movie for me.
Yes, it delivered on the 'splosions and violence, which I was okay with. It just needed something more to make it memorable. -
In short, FF has the best +def. The question is, how much do you really need? How much do you really need for end game stuff with over 50% of the player base playing level 50s? Cold more than fills in the need for +def and brings in multiple debuffs as well. The early game of CoH focused on power sets that did one thing, but it did it really well. CoV hit and suddenly the devs had to move past that and started to add in more balanced sets and more balanced ATs as well. Pretty much any new set these days will be more of a hybrid set than anything. Some of the single focused sets still win out. FF, IMO, lost out the most. FF still has uses(bad PuGs, Hardcore(deletion upon death)), but that's about it.
Note, I'm not saying the hybrid sets, or even CoV ATs are by default better. They just tend to do a number of things decently versus a few things the best. -
Those have been running fairly fine for a number of days. It has been down well before then as well.

I had thought you were suppose to get an e-mail about it and then you could go from there. That, or you should have a rename token.

Take Moonbeam later. Tar Patch and Fearsome Stare need to be taken asap.

Storm isn't that bad on teams. Know when to use Tornado and how to use Hurricane and you'll be fine. I remember rolling a Storm/dark and the team was in the Hollows and we decided to try and wing it even if the team didn't seemed built for the task. At one point the rest of the team was trash talking the mobs.

Then there are those of us who think 2 billion is a nice starting point.

WM/dark. Stacked stuns, credible AoE. It will be end hungry, but that can be dealt with.
-
A Earth/rad has no business killing at the same speed a Fire/fire scrapper does.

I really hope they fix more than the bug with Mac users. The inverted mouse control with your camera angle being reset whenever you zone might be one of the truly most annoying bugs I have seen.

Depending on the build, level 30+ powers can really alter a build. I do like the extra slots since inherit Fitness means builds have minimal slotting until then. The 30s are a great time for any WST that you can do.

Quote:I still stand by what I said. You are trying to make a build that doesn't exist in game unless you specifically skip on using powers. At that point you are a gimped version of support. It almost sounds like you are trying to make a build that works for teams with idiots on it.Well... sure, to a point. Example of this not being the case: If a healer is to just heal, then what's the point of dealing damage? "Heal, dangit, I'm DYING!" followed by "YOU SUX, I DIES!!" So if I do the healing, I can't do damage. Been there, by the way. Mind/Emp 'troller what was having fun locking down and beating the enemy... and the tank dies. Not fun in the chat.
While I'm here...
Quote:I don't quite know what earth/rads you know, but mine (and thus potentially anyone's) is a monster. Teaming with friends last night, the blaster was frustrated because the fire scrapper and I were killing 90% of the baddies, just about evenly. I was tanking, as the scrapper died usually taking the alpha. He was a sonic blaster, and would argue that is the most ineffective solo/team useful build, but I don't know.
Now, on the far, far, FAR other hand, is my dark defender. She solo'd her way to evil side, got armor, and came back, all solo. This is the most painful experience of this game ever. I made the mistake of getting the Mender Ramiel arc while villianside, found I could not solo it, came blueside and you know the rest. The only way to get rid of that is go full villain again, and go to Mender Ithinkihatehimtheevilbastid, and drop it.
I will go to my grave with this arc undone. Never, never, NEVER going to EVER do that again! Just thinking of trying makes my teeth hurt. UGH!
Dark/dark/mace defender gets my vote for the most completely, painfully, ineffectual solo player, with the very best team buffs/debuffs. You can go ahead and slot all the attacks with purple. They STILL aren't going to do squat, and while you're completely healthy, you also aren't going to go anywhere any time soon. Like within the week. So, no build is necessary. I have an empath/rad. She can kill stuff. Not even close. Dark/dark/mace gets my vote.
P.S. Did finally figure out how to solo Trapdoor in that rikti mission. (Immobs. How dumb is that? )
there is so much wrong with this post. -
Quote:+1. Any support set has powers that do damage even if it's not the primary thing it's suppose to do. Even if you took those powers and never used them, you would instantly fail as being a supreme complete team player.Has no offensive powers to speak of. But in the department of being a complete team player, this thing is *supreme*. Buffs, heals, debuffs, what have you.

It's getting to the point where my motivation to be on the forum is lessening. I even had the thought of trying to come on here, but then thought how I knew I would get logged out since it's been happening a lot as of late. I come to the forum and I'm already logged out. *sigh*

Group A play on specific servers and then complain when they are down. They get called out on this by group B saying they could be playing on other servers. Group C says servers are dead and asks when are the servers going to be consolidated. Group B counters saying they like it where they play and don't want to play on those other servers.

I was trying to play on a themed team since the Iron Eagles Hardcore SG plays on Thursdays.

Known issue. Just add your server to the list.
