Quote:I for one am shocked. In other news, the villain team won the LGTF race after my master plan to infiltrate the heroic ranks succeeded! I actually convinced them that I was reformed, and I wanted to help the good guys win... MUAHAHAHA.
I want to thank Stone and Layla for organizing an insanely fun weekend here on Protector. -
Evil triumphs again! MWUAUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!
Ok, now that that's out of my system. As you can see the Villain team won the Lady Grey Strike Force race. And now for the shocking plot twist: Sept was evil all along! Now, I didn't get screenshots during the SF because I was too busy racing, but I did get my usual Roster/Deaths/Time screens as well as a group shot of the villain team then a group shot of both teams (more or less... rwz is crowded :P )

Bah, I was going to move my crab spider over this morning for next week but when I checked it turns out someone on protector already has the name. Going to have to see if I can talk him into giving it up.
-
Later today there is going to be an all-Kheld Lambda run as part of the Naughty or Nice event, if your WS is an incarnate I think that would be a pretty good welcome.

Quote:This will probably be my first suggestion once I'm off work, there are 3 mayhem badges that I still don't have on my main and I'm too stubborn to cross all the way to hero side to get the accolade. There's been a lot of interest in the Mayhem/Safeguard mission exploration badges, so right now I'm thinking that might be one of the first events.
Isn't there also an AE badge for testing your arc with a full team? I think that's the only one I don't have, but I'm not sure if anyone else has had problems getting it. -
The teams were pretty small this week, but that's how it seemed all weekend. Darn turkey day! *shakes fist* We still ran both the 2nd Treespec and Ice Mistral though! I didn't take very many screenshots, and our scrapper managed to avoid both of the group shots. *shakes fist* Here's the rundown:

Next week we will be ignoring the List and running a special edition of Strike Force Sundays as part of the Naughty or Nice event. If you're too lazy to click that link and see all the cool stuff that's been planned then I'll give you the gist here: We're going to run the Lady Grey Task Force, but we'll be racing a team of heroes who are also running it.
Also, as a villain, I will pay $100 million inf to the villain that sneaks onto the hero team to sabotage them! There's only 3 rules you need to follow if you're going to do this:
1. The villain team has to win for you to get paid!
2. You have to let me know before the start that you're doing this, otherwise anyone could claim they did it afterwards.
3. Remember this is all for fun! When I say "sabotage" I don't mean "grief". Just do little things to make them less efficient, don't cause team wipes or anything! -
Ooooo, I like this idea. My work schedule will keep me from participating for now, but I should be getting about a month off starting in mid-december. I'll have to make a list of badges that have been taunting me.
-
I had a blast with this, the shadow shard zones are some of my favorites in the game.
Now let us never speak of this again. >.> -
-
Sign me up for the MoKeys also!
Hopefully next sunday I'll remember to tell everyone that the following SFS is the LGTF and not whatever is actually next on my list. -
Quote:Interesting to think that destroying magic is one of the big things Cole is trying to accomplish in praetoria.Interesting questions.
If I recall, magic was not absent in the Rikti home dimension... until they destroyed it (a Rikti NPC in Montague Castanella's arc mentions this for example). I don't recall any explanation of how or why they destroyed their world's magic, though.
With the Battalion appearing soon, and the Rikti's current state being a result of their encounter with the Battalion, maybe we'll learn more about their history. -
Had a very good turnout this week for the 2 Ouroboros strike forces. The strange thing though is that we managed to lower the averages of both strike forces by exactly 1 minute 31 seconds. We couldn't have managed that on purpose had we been trying! Photo Album
Mender Tesseract Strike Force
Team Size: 6
Deaths: 0
Time: 17:03
Mender Lazarus Strike Force
Team Size: 8
Deaths: 1
Time: 30:34
Next up on the List is the 2nd Villain Respec Trial(Level 34+). That one is usually pretty quick so I may also run an Ice Mistral Strike Force(Level 35+) afterwards if enough of the team is interested. Either way, if you want to spend your day beating up a tree, meet up in Nerva next Sunday, November 27th at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -
I believe someone also said they're working on making the turnstyle work in missions as well, so you may not be limited to street sweeping either.

Quote:Thanks for posting this, been hoping for a recap from someone who attended this panel! Here's the quick summary of the Incarnate panel based on my recollections:
Dark Astoria getting a revamp with Mot, PB and Tsoo (this was in the keynote but bears repeating). Old DA will be available through Ourborus (like Galaxy City).
New DA will have different story Arcs for Heroes and Villains along with repeatable content. Based on what they said it sounds like the repeatable content is implied to be co-op with tip mission style "moral choices" but they didn't say that outright.
Regarding new slots, they will definitely not be coming out in I22. However Black Scorpion did say that they have heard the complaints regarding the number of currencies and the current plan is that the new slots will not have new currencies/salvage associated with them.
The new Incarnate trial featuring Diabolique will effectively be an epilogue new DA storyline but will not be the culmination of it (so not like Striga and Croatoa where you have to do a TF to see the final story).
Maelstrom's Teleport Kick attack in TPN Campus was the inspiration for Vorpal Judgement.
Adamastor will appear in the new DA but will not be a major opponent.
In terms of Incarnate story, the Preatorian arc is intended as an epic-cross-over battle of armies" style story which is why it's Trial focused. The Mot arc is being designed as more of an individual heroes comic book and as such is more single character/team focused.
We will eventually fight Cole and when we defeat him the well will be left without a champion. And nothing bad can come form that... Right?
That's what I recall, I'm probably missing some stuff but I think I hit the high points. -
I have to agree with Ex here, these things happen. There's not a whole lot a league leader can do when that many people ignore the chat. While theoretically you could have been more picky about who joined, you can't be expected to know the level of competence of every person on the server. Hopefully regular keyes runs will become common enough on Protector that by the next time you attempt this more people will be comfortable with the trial itself.
I'm also hoping my /electric brute will be level shifted enough by then to take care of babysitting anti-matter. Although we didn't seem to have much trouble with that, it was a little rocky but it still got done at least. -
Yeah, it was a blast. Too bad we couldn't get that 8-man VEAT lambda going afterwards, I think we could've gotten through it with our eyes closed and 4 of our limbs tied behind our backs.
-
...
I may have to transfer my crab spider to protector now, that way I'll have a choice of Veats for this. -
I can't help with the villain group, but if you're interested in teaming on villain side I run a weekly event for villains called Strike Force Sunday that I try to make friendly for newer players. Link for more info.
-
Count me in too! I'm not sure which character I'll bring yet, it'll probably depend on what the team needs.

Quote:This is true, I'd say about 1 in 10 of my recipe sales go for a much lower price than I could've gotten had I tried. However, I haven't been short on inf in a very long time so I don't care if I don't get maximum profit and I kinda like the idea of giving someone a good deal now and again. Even if all they do is turn around and resell it.Take note that while selling for 1 infl is certainly a viable option for quick and easy marketing, there is a chance it will bite you in the behind. There are plenty of people out there with low ball bids for just such situations. I have a few bids up for Chance of X damage IOs up for 1 million and on the rare occasions they fill, I can flip them for a lot of profit. And it's happened to me as well. I once put up a Numina triple but mistyped and left a 0 off the end. It sold for only 1 million rather than the 30-40 million I could have got for it with a little patience at the time.
-
And in contrast, I sell every purple I get for 1 inf on the market. Many of the purple set bonuses are large, but they're not the stats I'm looking for (unless I'm building a perma-dom), so I rarely end up wanting a purple set when I'm planning my builds.

Quote:It depends on which strike force we're running that week. I usually try to mention each week where next week's starter is, but if I don't I always link to the paragonwiki page for that particular strike force, which lists the location. This upcoming sunday will be started in ouroboros. Here is information on how to get there in case you don't know.I'd really like to get in on these groups.
Sorry for the newb question but...where do I go to make sure I'm at the right place by 5 pm PST on Sundays?
I also tend to post a reminder on the global channel Protector Vigilance about half an hour before the start time. -
We filled up fast again this week, I like it when everyone's working on their lowbie alts! This week there was a bit of a miscommunication on my part, but other than that it was a very smooth run.

According to the List next week is the Ouroboros double-header! That's right, the Mender Tesseract Strike Force (Level 25+) followed by the Mender Lazarus Strike Force (Level 30+). These two strike forces combined usually take about an hour, and Tesseract is one of my favorites because it gives you a look at what Arachnos looked like back in the 60s! So if you're up for a groovy evil time, meet up in Ouroboros next Sunday, November 20th, at 5pm PST/8pm EST!
