It'll probably sell faster if you just put it on the market. If I posted every time I sold a purple recipe I would start like 10 threads a day.

I'm not trying to crush your fun- I just thought I'd let you know that you'd be more likely to get fast cash just posting it on the market. Congrats on the drop.

i personally resolved myself to NEVER sell purple recipes ever

some of the purps ive saved went to future builds which saved me fortunes lol

Well i dont have millions so this will help me build up my first main character with quite a few sets i want..

I could use the investment to make more is the way i look at it

i personally make my builds for next to nothing cause 80% of the recipes i get either A) as drops and transfer to who needs it, or B) buy it directly with alignment merits

purples usually fall into category A while most other expensive IOs that i need a lot of fall into category B

for 2 alignment merits maximum you can get ANY non purp or non pvp IO you want for free

for purples i pretty much only wait on drops or i trade with friends if we have stuff the other needs

as for everything else i usually just save up money on my toons then buy the recipes as i get enough to buy them

the only things i really save my money on is HOs since they are actually harder to get than most IOs lol (several of my builds need enzyme HOs, either have to pay 300 mil per HO or run LRSF a LOT lol)

I flip purples in bulk to make a lot of my money, so if I feel the need to purple a character I just make a note of which ones to hold on to.

And in contrast, I sell every purple I get for 1 inf on the market. Many of the purple set bonuses are large, but they're not the stats I'm looking for (unless I'm building a perma-dom), so I rarely end up wanting a purple set when I'm planning my builds.

so how does that work the sale for 1 ... Do you get 1 or do you get the minimum bid for that Enhancement?

Just wondering..

From ParagonWiki :

If multiple players are selling an item for different amounts, the person with the lowest list price will sell first as long as a bid is higher than their list price. Thus, if a lot of people are listing an item for 100 inf, someone who lists the same item for 10,000 inf may never sell it even if people are paying 100,000 inf for it. Likewise, it's possible for someone who lists an item for 100 inf to sell it for 100,000 inf while someone else who lists the item for 10,000 inf only sells it for 10,000 inf.

Basically, the lowest offer usually gets the highest bid.

Take note that while selling for 1 infl is certainly a viable option for quick and easy marketing, there is a chance it will bite you in the behind. There are plenty of people out there with low ball bids for just such situations. I have a few bids up for Chance of X damage IOs up for 1 million and on the rare occasions they fill, I can flip them for a lot of profit. And it's happened to me as well. I once put up a Numina triple but mistyped and left a 0 off the end. It sold for only 1 million rather than the 30-40 million I could have got for it with a little patience at the time.

This is true, I'd say about 1 in 10 of my recipe sales go for a much lower price than I could've gotten had I tried. However, I haven't been short on inf in a very long time so I don't care if I don't get maximum profit and I kinda like the idea of giving someone a good deal now and again. Even if all they do is turn around and resell it.
